It is very close to home and I wanted to love it. Unfortunately after giving them a chance a few times I cannot go back there. The tools that were used were not sterilized in fact a nail clipper was visibly rusted. I asked to use clean tools and no apology the woman who was doing my nails looked angry and spoke in her language the entire time. I could not wait to leave. Just did not want them to cut or make any mistakes. The manage/owner just quietly told the worker to use sanitized new tools attitude was to sweep It under the rug? Most unprofessional nail salon and staff. They lost two costumers as a neighbor also is not satisfied with quality. My girlfriend lives across the street and since the place reopened after corona, i thought to give it a try. First time here today and I'm like, ehhhh Nothing special and to be honest - I'm not one to complain about pricey things but the service here is expensive for "ehhh" service. Mani and pedi - $91?? This is my first time getting acrylics and was super excited throughout the week after I made an appointment. My friend and I went and my friend had no complaints about her manicure. As for me, I feel like the design was not the greatest and my nails were slightly crooked. Towards the sides of my nails, it was not fully covered with nail polish. On top of that I paid $78 for the blue and white set and my friend paid $84 for her multicolored nail design. It was a lot pricier than I expected. read more

I went for the first time today and was assisted by Audrey. Such a lovely experience, she was gentle and took her time. One of the most relaxing pedicures I've gotten. In addition when it came time for me to dry my feet she started massaging my back. They also gave me a green tea thank you cream as I left. Definitely will be returning. Well, I went to this salon because of the good reviews. Maybe I got a lousy technician, but this place sucks! I wanted pedicure and gel manicure but ended up just with a Pedi. The location is dirty. The towels are super old. It looks like bags in a Pedi tub are being reused. So, then girl, cut a corner of my nail bad! Like ripped it off. It hurt so bad. I asked for alcohol, and she said "later". So the whole pedicure was very fast, not worth 28$ at all. 3 minutes massage, everything was just sloppy. Never coming back and do not recommend it! Place sucks! read more

The only reason I'm giving this place a 3 star and not a 2 is because my last experience (a pedicure) was pretty good. Today I decided to try my luck with a manicure since this place seemed to have decent reviews. Word of warning--know who to ask for. Since this was my 2nd time, I went with whoever was available. The woman who did my nails is Coco. First, it almost seemed like she couldn't communicate. During buffing and cleaning, I repeatedly asked her to be gentle because her rough treatment was hurting me. I asked her in Chinese, thinking she couldn't understand me in English. No acknowledgement. When she inevitably made me bleed, there was no apology. In fact, she said nothing at all. Second, I asked for a simple silver line down the middle of two nails per hand. This is basic work. From the photo, you can clearly see how off kilter it was. This was after I asked her to file my nails into an oval shape... repeatedly because the shapes were lopsided. I don't ask for much, just a nice atmosphere and polite technicians who are clean, efficient, and experienced. I think I'll be sticking with my two favorites in manhattan instead. read more

I traveled 50 minutes to this salon so I could get a specific design on my nails that was featured on their instagram. I told my nail tech that I wanted powder dip nails with the design. After I sat down, I showed her the design and she told me my nails were too short for the design and I would need tips. I said ok that's fine. After she glued the tips on, I told her which finger I wanted the design on and then she tells me that you can't put a design on powder dip nails. I only came here for the design and she should have informed me before gluing these tips on me. My nails came out really good and she took a lot of time doing them and put a lot of effort in but it is not what I came in for. I am not sure if I will be back. read more

I've been here a few times for eyebrow waxing and nails. I always thought this nail salon was wonderful. Sadly I was wrong. About half an hour ago I went to get my eyebrows waxed and it was someone different today. It was a lady with the long ponytail. She put the hot wax very close to my eyelid. I immediately began moving around in pain and told her to please get me some water to cool it off with a Q tip and she ignored me only then to get me a bottle of water assuming I was thirsty. She kept saying it was fine and I could feel my eyelid burning and now it's really red/pink. My eyebrows look great except for the unfortunate experience I just had. I'm disappointed and don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. read more

I LOVE MINDY! You have to check out her IG (instagram) because she does phenomenal work, she will create any design, style, shape, etc on your nails and doesn't get better! The salon is super clean and so pretty. They have a lot of gel colors and gel powder which is suppose to last longer and more healthier for your nails. I go to Mindy just for my nails and also eye brow tinting religiously. She does an awesome job for lashes too! She books quickly so make sure to get to her soon and book that moment. Theres also Scott and Jackie who also do really nice designs and nails just in case you dont get Mindy. The location is perfect because theres easy available parking. My new go to nail salon on the island! I'm originally from BK so I was trekking all the way to Bay Ridge to get my nails done. The parking is impossible so I was trying to look for a more convenient spot on the island. I had tried a couple but didn't really love them until this place popped up on my instagram. I looked up the location which is close to my house and work. They stay open until 8:30 PM so I can go after work if need be. Plenty of parking the lot. The place isn't huge but its brand new. Everything is very clean and bright. I went first for just a gel. To feel it out.... They had a great selection for both gel and powder. Really good job and pretty fast. My nails lasted 3 + weeks. It was amazing. They didn't chip at all. Even when they were trying to take them off they took a while. Second time I went I had to go for a wedding. I was just going to get another gel that matched my dress but they had their "Chrome" colors next to me and I asked if we can do that instead. It was a little more expensive and more work to them. But they looked so awesome. I was in love! And got many compliments. Third time went back just for gel and figured I would try their pedicure. Pedicure seems more expensive then the average spot but they do a lot during it. They exfoliate. They wrap them. They massage them. They use hot stones. And that's just their standard Pedicure. I don't even know what the Spa one would entail. But again it was great. Totally plan to go back. The main reason I really liked them because they seem to be really good at designs. I really like my holiday nails to have designs on them so I'm excited to go back to see what they can do! read more

I saw their work on Instagram and called last minute to come in and get a full gel set and they took me right away. The man who did my nails took his time and really made them look beautiful. The girl at the front desk was also super sweet and helpful and helped me pick the perfect color :) Update*** For the price I paid I expected them to hold up a little better than this. Disappointed. I haven't even put pressure on my nails or felt them pop off like this and was not doing anything to make them fall off. Just heard "Is that your nail on the floor?" WORST SALON I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO To say this salon is atrocious is a gross understatement. I paid $65 plus tip to have the worst fake nails put on. I got fake nails done on a Sunday and the following Wednesday , 1 had already chipped off despite minimal use. The following day , another had chipped and the next day once again one chipped. Finally I was fed up and I decided to go back to complain. When I insisted they provide me my money back , they refused. Originally when I had asked how long the nails would last, they said 2-3 weeks , but instead they hardly lasted 2-3 days. Horrendous service and disgusting work. Went here today for my regular gel manicure. The place is absolutley beautiful and the staff is all very nice. It seems very clean and they have so many color options. My nails turned out really nice and I hope my gel holds up because I really enjoyed this place. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because they are a little pricey but it's worth it if the nails hold up and the cleanliness and beautiful atmosphere. Update: My gel manicure lasted me well Over 2 weeks without breaking or cracking. I am very impressed with the manicure it's just upsetting that I can not do my pedicure here because of the uncomfortable bench they have instead of the normal massage chairs other places have. Overall a good place for manicures but I would find another place if your looking for a pedicure ! read more

I received terrible customer service at the Muse nail NYC salon. Mindy is the owner/manager was very rude, unprofessional with nasty attitude. She did a horrible job when I asked to fix it, she was very rude and her response was unacceptable. I have never experienced that kind of service. Mindy wasn't willing to help me at all.I DO NOT RECOMMENDED HER TO ANYBODY. Went specifically to see Mindy since I could never get an appointment for her when she was at Glamour. The location is a little odd to me. It's in the corner of a parking lot off Hylan. It's bright & clean. I got a pedi before my filling. I know this is a new place so if any errors occurred, I'd let it slide. The older woman doing the pedi had gloves on which I'm not used too. I was thinking thank God i'm not allergic to latex or else I'd be pissed. She did not seem comfortable or experienced. They do not have massage chairs either which I don't know why newer salons are doing this it's not really relaxing since I'm short and have to sit up straight. The massage on my legs was mediocre, short and the paint job was weak. As for Mindy, she skilled the design I wanted just as I had hope. Took a little long but worth it. I like the fact they're open until 8:30pm. Now the kicker, for uv gel filling 6 fingers with a design & pedicure a whopping $114 & that's including a 20% discount running until September & not including tip. I'll be coming back for just a gel filling, no pedi before the discount expires. Good luck! read more
