We paid $75 for a two hour block where we were able to spin our clay with instructions, decorate and paint. They also have open studio for $25 and you can come in and spin your clay and decorate on your own without instruction. You can pick up your creation in about 3 weeks. Several were talking of coming back again to do another one. Renee, the owner and Maddie are very encouraging and helpful. I very highly recommend doing this either as a gift, or for yourself. I drove an hour here to get Christmas gifts for my mom and sister. The store was quite full of people happily painting their ceramics. I thought the prices were rather high, but I did not realize the prices were meant for the items to be painted there, fired by the staff, and picked up later. Considering that, the prices were quite fair. When I took my items to the counter, once the nice lady found out my items were gifts to be painted at home, I was given a generous and very significant discount. My mom and sister loved their gifts and look forward to painting them soon. It's really great to see this now rare sort of "retro" arts and crafts store doing so well! There is such an eclectic array of items offered here from jewelry to antique furnishings. The sales associate working today was very polite and helpful, especially since I was being high maintenance and wanted the item off the mannequin. I purchased a beautiful sarong that I plan to use during my upcoming trip to Cuba. White Owl Market's slogan is: "Never the same store twice." I recently spent a day at Gott Glass Studio having fun with fire! I participated in a glass making…read moreworkshop and got to work with the glass from start to finish, ending up with a glass heart to give as a gift. Susan was amazing and let me have a lot of hands on participation during the process while making sure I was being safe and explaining the process as we went along. Whether you want to work with molten glass, watch others work with it or browse the glass art, either way, it is a unique place and an amazing experience that I highly recommend!
