Upon notifying the front desk, maintenance resolved the issue promptly. The air conditioning system functioned effectively. Regarding the shower, it is important to note that there was no hot water available, only lukewarm water. All staff members were exceedingly friendly and helpful, including those handling room service. This resort is considered expensive, and while they appear to be making an effort to provide adequate entertainment, the slow service experienced at three of the restaurants, along with the lack of hot water for bathing, was somewhat disappointing. The private beach area is quite charming; however, the sand is not the typical variety, making it uncomfortable to walk on; I would recommend wearing water shoes. (Did not have picture below) The resort offers nightly foam parties, and it is indeed very family-friendly, featuring numerous activities and gaming options. For breakfast, we visited the deli, which boasted a pleasant ambiance and excellent customer service; nonetheless, the time taken to receive our order was quite lengthy. I ordered a bagel, which I expected to be fresh, but it was merely retrieved from the display case and reheated, resulting in the lettuce being soggy. There is a need for improvement in time management; however, the staff were exceptionally kind, and the food was satisfactory. On our second night, we made reservations at the Thai restaurant located on the second floor. The cuisine was outstanding, and among all the dining options, it is a must-try. The chef even took the time to greet us, and every dish was flavorful and enjoyable.

However, they do give amzing service to the most parts where needed. The lobby is a bustling line of patrons patiently awaiting to check in, a good 30 to 60 minutes on a busy day and perhaps longer on busier season and special holidays. They don't leave you unattended while waiting, a fresh juice and pastry is served while standing in line After checking in you can explore the massive hotel inside and out. There's a lot to see and check out. The rooms are great and modern, I mean I could get a phenomenal room at Cesar's Palace in Vegas for a cheaper price but the hospitality and service here is superb (i think that's what you're paying half the price of your stay!) There's an array of food to choose from. Asian cuisine, western cooking, a few Mediterranean dishes and of course the staple dishes of Cebu. The menu changes from breakfast to lunch and dinner. You will enjoy tasting dishes you have not tried before and the meal comes with your package. There's a list of restaurants and stores in the area to explore. You don't have to leave the resort at all. Anything you could possibly need during your stay is provided for. Sauna, massage, fitness and nature are at the tips of your fingers. Relax and enjoy your stay! A few photos to share with the best traveler uncle Arthur!

This establishment have a some what strict policy when it comes to checking in and bag handling. You need to leave your bags in pickup zone where you get drop off at and walk to the front counter to get check-in and so on. Quite simple and the hospitality is amazing. They have courtesy shuttle and golf carts to take you around especially when you have many luggage to drag around. Their gym room was okay, nothing exciting or amusing. Simple get in and out, definitely suggest that the establishment bump it up a notch, just outdated and not that many equipment to choose from. Love their breakfast buffet every morning. Their choices was definitely worth attending. I have to say, it was an easy transaction when it come to being seated and any order of coffee or juice, they was on point. Anything you requested they are more then happy to assist with the best of their knowledge and availability, outstanding and professional services. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Share your experience. P.s. We paid to have breakfast included and it was a nice buffet style with local options as well as typical "American" breakfast items. We also ate in the main restaurant (desserts were amazing), had room service a couple times, and had several drinks and meals at the pool area. The service staff is very friendly and professional. The beach area is clean, however the water is very shallow and the tide goes out quite far leaving not the best view until it returns. Sunrise is amazing right over the water. We did the parasailing which was 3000/pax and was a one-way 15 minute ride down the beach. My daughter got a henna tattoo from S and J Henna Tattoo (on site) and was very happy with the job they did. The only downside I could mention is that we were there in mid-December and many local businesses were doing holiday parties during this time at the resort. We were provided notice each evening prior, however the events were onsite and quite loud - one day hosting two simultaneous events both using loud microphones. Not as relaxing as we had hoped. But they lasted only a few hours then the resort went back to normal. We were able to catch "Grabs" right out front to take us to shops/spas/restaurants when we wanted to get off site and of course those were very affordable - $2 US each way. Overall a great place to stay. I would highly recommend.

The beach front is nice and private, smooth white sand, free kayaking, great lounge chairs, and plenty of staff to assist. The pool is nice, with a shallow kid side (slide included). The breakfast buffet is top notch, and the regular lunch and dinner menu is beyond compare! My only complaint, the AC isn't the best, but otherwise it's a really nice resort at a fair price. I'd definitely stay here again. Prost?

This was stop ONE. We were lucky enough to come through and found only a few other tourists present. (We expected a crowd, given it was a weekend.) It's also kinda cool to find local guides available giving us a thorough story regarding the significance of the entire area. I will admit that I felt the history going through me as I walked the grounds. Weird, I know... I've only heard or read about this place, and I found it amazing to finally find myself here! Oh, and those guides are not only incredibly knowledgeable, they were also willing to take pictures with as many cameras as you have. They did their job well, so fam made sure they were tipped well. We took our time and breathed all the experience in. One thing off the checklist...

Lapu Lapu Shrine and Magellan Shrine [LAPU-LAPU CITY, CEBU Philippines]…read more Anytime I get a chance to visit a landmark I am grateful for the opportunity. Mactan Shrine was just outside the Mactan Newport development. No admission fee and open to the public. It is a remembrance of the Battle of Mactan. As we were walking towards inside to view the monuments, out of nowhere was this stranger who started to give us a little history of what transpired in this actual location. The Battle of Mactan happened in 1521. The Mactan Shrine was established in 1969 as a national shrine. This was where Lapu-Lapu (Filipino warrior) killed Portuguese navigator Ferdinand Magellan. The shrine was built on the spot where the battle took place. Every year, on April 27, they have a re-enactment festival of the historic battle and Filipino ring superstar Manny Pacquiao played the role once as chieftain Lapu-Lapu during a re-enactment of the Battle of Mactan in Cebu. We thanked the impromptu tour guide. Consequently he was also a good photographer LoL! We tipped him for his kind gesture. It was a cool short history lesson. Review #3334
