This is a gem of a store in the Lincoln center. My husband and I stop here whenever we go to Stockton. They have a unique collection of items ranging from supplements to teas and snacks. It feels like the Whole Foods health and beauty section on steroids(in a good way!) I always find something new and exciting at this store. It is a very small store and sometimes they have local vendors at the store. The girls at the counter seemed friendly and yes they were talking to each other but did not notice anything disrespectful as other reviewers had noticed. I highly recommend this place and also their magazine. It has delicious recipes and is a nice read for an afternoon tea time. read more

Artesian is my go to store! I've been shopping at Artesian when they were located at the 6300 block of Pacific Ave. Every time I go into their store I am always warmly greeted with a "Hello" and "Let me know if I can help you?" The girls in there are rude & unprofessional. They follow you around making the whole experience uncomfortable then you can hear them talking negatively about other customers, so you know you were already a topic of their conversation. They don't look at you or say hello when they ring you up. If you like the mean girl vibe then go here, otherwise I'd recommend going somewhere you're treated like a human. read more

I've been shopping at this store for years and recently have not been impressed with the customer service going in lately. There's been a few times that I've visited the store recently & was never greeted or ask if I needed any assistance. As I've worked retail for many years customer service is the main focus when retaining a loyal customer. The ball has recently been dropped when it comes to service & I'm thinking it's because of new staff members. I stumbled across this hidden gem in search of vegan nacho cheese. I first called and spoke with Allie and she checked to see if some were in stock. She Also told me about other items i questioned, which made me go in. I came in a couple of weeks ago and Mallory assisted me while shopping. She gave me feedback/opinion on items I was interested in. She's awesome and hilarious. Both of them made me feel like I was shopping with my friends. Everything I love that's vegan, they have it! I love the little natural health store's as they seem to have such a great variety of products and this store is no exception. I think I must have spent about 30 minutes just looking at all of the shelves filled with bottles and packages of so many different products many of which I have not seen anywhere else. They also have a large refrigerated section filled with drinks, meats and cheeses. The staff are also friendly and knowledgeable, if you're looking for something in-particular they can help you out and chances are you'll even find things you didn't know you wanted. read more

What can I say? This is the place if you are looking to improve your health. Great selection of supplements, body care items and groceries. Lesley and her staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Yes, you can go to sprouts or Whole Foods and get the same things but what you won't find is knowledgeable staff who ask the right questions to get what you need. For being a health food store I was surprised and put off that no employees are wearing masks. When I asked for help there seemed to be no effort to maintain distance from me by the employee who was not wearing a mask. I wasn't greeted when I walked in everyone looked at me and continued about their business , i also wasn't offered any assistance finding products since it was my first time in the store , I brushed it off since I can read and I can see plus it gave me time to really browse the selection, they have almost all of the cruelty free items that Any could ever desire , the store is small so don't expect a Whole Foods , sprouts selection since it assuming this isn't a franchise business you can expect a higher price point for some items , overall I will be frequenting this store since it's conveniently located right around the corner from my apt , I love supporting small businesses but they're definitely lacking in the customer service department , the energy was way off and very lackluster might I add , the cashier did attempt to engage in conversation when she asked me was I interested in joining their rewards program read more

I've been a customer of Artesian Natural Foods for over thiryfive years, when they first opened on Robinhood Drive and Richard was the owner way back then. I really love shopping at Artesian the staff is outstanding, kind, friendly and so knowledgeable. They have a large variety of vitamins, herbal supplements and essential oils. Many gluten-free and healthy food choices. Leslie and Mike are the current owners and they are awesome, they really care about their customers health and wellbeing. My rating isn't for the quality of the products sold here. I've shopped here many times to purchase CBD and protein powders. Today was a different experience and unfortunately I've come to find out the encounter was with the owner Leslie Brennan. I was standing next to the locked CBD section on my phone to make sure the picture I had matched the one I purchased. I noticed Leslie coming towards me and asked if I needed one out the locked glass and I said yes. Following her was another customer and she needed something out of the locked glass door as well. Leslie grabbed hers out and handed it to her, and when she grabbed mine she walked it to the counter.( For reference I'm Mexican and the other customer was not, you guess) it just didn't feel right and I asked her ( Leslie) why she walked mine to the counter and not hand it to me like she did the other customer? Her response: " I knew she was checking out right away". However I never indicated I was going to look around nor did she ask, and yes I was checking out right away. So what I thought was great customer service by noticing what I needed was actually me being watched and stereotyped. Leslie I hope you remember our encounter as I didn't cause a scene and spoke to you directly to which you had no response. Please educate yourself, especially when running a business on how to treat your loyal customers, that wasn't it and it doesn't go unnoticed. read more

This place is so amazing! The girls that helped me are awesome. (Wish I remembered their names) anyways walked in and showed the associate some pictures of what I needed. Was in and out in about less than 7mins. I know if I had look myself probably would've taken me 30 mins haha. They signed me up for their rewards and even put me on the list for some product that was out of stock. They have called me TWICE to ensure I was getting my product. So awesome. Wonderful store. Amazing service. My daughter has Celiacs disease. She is unable to eat gluten. Which makes it hard for a child. Stopped in today to pick up some vitamins for the sister type person... I have been going here for vitamins and such for years now...I do still order the bulk of my stuff online but when I need something specific and I need it now this is my place in Stockton to go. Its a nice, small, clean store..there isnt stuff crowding the shelves and everything is nice and organized. The staff there is pretty darn attentive...I walked three steps in the door and... BAM "Hello there sir can I help you find anything today?" I told her what I needed and I had my stuff and was out the door in 3.8 minutes. The only thing is that they are a bit on the pricey side...they give you a little punch card that is worth 5 bucks when you buy a certain amount of stuff there but its like 100 bucks of stuff before you get that. I guess if you are there alot it might totally be worth keeping in your wallet. On a side note: The store has been there so long it has the distinct aroma of vitamins and healthy stuff. I guess I spend alot of time in places where the commerce is bad for me because its a foreign smell. And... The door at the entrance you have to PUSH to enter...it does not swing both ways. Man! Why didn't I find out about this place until now?! For a small health foods store in Stockton, this place is clean, organized, well stocked, has lots of variety, and not crazily unreasonable priced (which I GREATLY appreciate). Obviously their products are going to be slightly more expensive than your average grocery store, but I mean that's what comes with shopping at a health foods store. So if you're a health junkie or have certain dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free) this place will most likely have almost everything you need! Ezekiel bread, soy ice cream, protein supplements, beauty products, vegan cheese, snacks, and best of all: VEGAN MARSHMALLOWS! Definitely one of the few small health foods stores with the nicest variety I've seen at reasonable prices. Oh and you can grind your own almond butter here! Health freaks go go go! read more

I moved to Stockton 3 months ago. I lived in West Los Angeles for 5 years and it was natural for me to seek out a natural foods store (Los Angeles is decently health conscious!) Here is my experience of this place- 1. 90% of vitamins have MAGNESIUM STEARATE and GELATIN. VERY DISAPPOINTING to see. True health nuts or Mercola followers aren't purchasing any supplements here!! 2. The male owner is RUDE. He compared my mom's memory slip with his mom's aging memory (my mom is in her 40's, his mom is in his 90's- two very different reasons for memory slips and his comparison was very insulting for me). 3. Pasturized Kombucha- really? What would GT Dave say... **Mostly from the unpleasant encounter with the male owner, I WILL NEVER return to this store. I'll make special accommodations elsewhere to get raw milk and buy everything else they have there online where I'll find quality ingredients ( example- Turmeric from Organic India is fantastic, it's purely turmeric in a vegetable capsule!). The only positive thing I have to say is some of the staff they've hired are really sweet people. read more

my back hurts. I didn't sleep good. got dat out the way. they sell Tofutti Cuties singly, for $0.50 each! Berry flavor/pink flavor is the best flavor. The only place in town dat sells Ezekiel whole sprout grain tortillas...dats for folks dat can't have wheat, and all dat jazz. dey also got dis tea dats 0.5% alcohol! it's about 5 bucks each, so 8 of dem things, youll be KKK-kkaa broke, & u shouldve just bought a six pax or a paxil to give you dat mood change. but you really just buy one, cuz it has health benefits n all. I bought a rice shake here yesterday (it was disgusting) after eating vanilla-filled cream flute cookies dipped in organic yogurt (not from here), organic corn chips w/ organic KKK-kkaa sorry salsa (da lady told me it was bombish), and a piece of a protein bar: i got stomach cramps like a female's monthly, and droppin muddy kids off the pool. Not to mention I threw up. So yeah, dis rice shake had rice koji in it, which i think is the bacteria they use to make sake... well dat thing karate chopped me up, and dropped kicked me rodney king. overall doh, good place to go to for health stuff. This place has GREAT content but INFURIATES me at the same time. The hours are a joke. I have been there both too early and too late and wanted to scream every time. As someone who goes to school and works, I find it very hard to get there after they open at TEN in the morning and before SIX THIRTY in the evening. I love the goods, but despise the hours. I would be spending much more money there if their hours were more reflective of average Americans' schedules. I like holistic healing and natural remedies and try to use natural products as much as I can (afford). I went here today to pick up a bar of Olive Oil soap for my dry winter scalp. This will be my first time using Olive Oil in my hair so we shall see! I like Artesian because if there's something you are looking for but isn't in the store, the ladies behind the counter can order it for you if it's in their catalog. I've ordered Henna from them last year and today I ordered Mochi rice puffs...they're the best whole grain snack I've ever had, seriously! I've looked at every natural foods store, and Japanese specialty stores, for this product and Artesian has placed an order for me! Yes, they are pricey but which health foods store isn't? Still love this place. But I think because of its popularity, the prices have been hiked. There are things I get here, and there are things I don't. Particularly my gluten free items :/ I can get brown rice pasta for a HECK of a lot cheaper elsewhere- Trader Joe's, Raley's, Asian Supermarkets. And Apple Cider Vinegar. Safeway all the way. I LOVE this store to death. I have been going here since I was little with my parents as far back as I can remember. I've been there since they were located over by Bev-mo and recently they moved over to Lincoln center. Personally I think it was an amazing choice, the store looks great, and they will definitely get more foot traffic. The quality of products in the store has definitely improved since they moved. I feel incredibly sterile walking in there, not to mention they have vitamins, teas, and natural pain relievers of all kind. The staff is ALWAYS helpful in assisting the customers to find whatever they need. They always have been, regardless of their location. If I can't prove to you enough how wonderful this store is, I live in Los Angeles and every time I come home I come to this store because I love it so much. I am an absolute health freak and I thrive on natural organic medication because I believe that drugs of any kind (OTC or even prescription drugs) should be the last resort, and your body won't be able to absorb it as well if you use such drugs too often. I walked towards the vitamins/supplement section and the lady who was behind the register followed me then I made my way to the refrigerated section where she continued to keep an eye on me. First store I went to after moving here from the East Bay in Sept. 2016. I miss Berkeley Bowl and Whole Foods but this place is a little gem. They special order lots of items for me. And with their punch card I save $5.00 off at least once or twice a month. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome and answer any questions. I just wanted to say what a great store Artesian Natural Food is. I was recently diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitus (bladder disease). I was searching for a store that carried probiotics and marshmallow root capsules that are supposed to help my disease. I found the store online and decided to check it out. The store is in the Lincoln Center and was easy to find. I walked in it was fragrant of natural herbs and spices. I was greeted by friendly staff and they quickly located what I had come for. I was surprised at the large amount of the Gluten Free foods and natural foods they stock. I also have Gluten Sensitivity so I will definitely be back. I found what I needed at reasonable prices and my son even had an organic chocolate cookie. He loved it! If you are into homeopathic medicine or just want to eat healthier foods it is a great place to get what you need. read more

I wish I could give this place more stars because they do sell so many products and have a big selection but unfortunately I had the experience of calling to ask if they sold a particular product 4/10/19 and was told they do not sell that product at their store. I drove all the way to Elk Grove to purchase this item at the vitamin shoppe. I walk in today and find the item on the shelf literally across the register ! So clearly the staff 1. does not know what they have in stock! 2. They just didn't even bother to check to see if they have items for the customer. Poor customer service can ruin a business.
