I was really excited when I purchased the clear whey protein and had some shipping issues. After I finally got the product, I was highly disappointed and dissatisfied with the sweetness of the product. I reached out to customer service who pretty much told me there was no refund "allowed " by their company. What kind of company doesn't offer a refund 1 day after receiving and trying out a product?!?! Then they try to sell me a different product. I'm not one to stay in a store and shop for awhile so it was perfect that they had what I needed and didn't need to waste time looking somewhere else . I wrote a review about a bad experience I had with Max Muscle in Walnut Creek, CA. However, it was on the wrong page. With that being said I wanted to take some time to write a review about the Stockton location. I've been to a few different locations and the Stockton, CA location is hands down the best location I have been made a purchase. They always offer suggestions and they always remember a face. I don't go for months at a time and usually I will get remembered. In the beginning I had sooo many questions and they would answer them in a way that was clear for me to understand. For the first time ever (the day I bring my boyfriend) they suddenly don't have any sample packs/bottles to let me purchase or borrow. The guy at the front counter suckered me into buying a bottle for "only $19.99" except I went to target later and found the same exact bottle for $7.99. I was a little reluctant to buy it to begin with because it looked cheap but I wanted to tan and didn't have any other lotion on me. Its the Australian Gold tanning lotion which is super cheap and doesn't work well. I'm a little disappointed because this place always surprised me with their taste in bronzers since they worked so well ( even on the first try) but clearly they've changed up the ordering staff! Love the owners and the employees are super friendly & helpful! As a vegan in Stockton I appreciate their willingness to go above and beyond to carry products that cater to everyone! They carry D's Naturals brand protein bars and nut butters which is my favorite, then of course the Lenny & Larry's cookies are my kryptonite. They also offer chocolate & vanilla vegan friendly protein powder! I have been intending to try out their tanning and teeth whitening services as they're super affordable, quality, and the results look fantastic! I do also like that they're quick to allow you to sample something before you buy it. Now it's not a shop for the penny pinching shopper, but I definitely make visits solely for the variety of performance products, protein snacks and the customer service.
