    Canned products

I visited Angkor Asian Market on Saturday, 3/16/24, in the afternoon. What I liked about this market was the huge variety of wonderful products, especially Asian-based items. The great selection of items included fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, canned products, bottled sauces (i.e. Sriracha, Hoisin), prepackaged products such as sushi rolls, spring rolls, fried rice, sandwiches, and more. The price point of items was decently affordable. The staff members were pleasant, quick, and helpful. The entire market was clean and nicely organized. I recommend visiting the Angkor Asian Market.

    Beef Jerky, $1.99

Angkor Asian Market is located in the corner of a plaza that has the 99 Cent Store. This plaza is also across the street from Empresso Coffeehouse with plenty of parking available. My husband and I stopped by this market this past Monday and liked coming to this market that we ended up coming back today. On both of these visits, we purchased some premade food items that are found on the counters by the Entrance. We purchased the following: Chicken and sticky rice, $5.99- This came with 2 chicken thighs and a side of sticky rice. My husband and I shared this and thought the chicken was good, along with the sticky rice. Shrimp Cha Noodle, $5.99- My husband took this meal with him to work for lunch and thought it was good. The entree is served with dry noodles, shrimp, stripes of egg and lettuce. There is sauce on the bottom, which taste good when mixed all together. Beef Jerky, $1.99- This beef jerky has pepper flakes on it so I didn't have any, as I do not like to eat spicy food. My husband thought this was just okay because the beef kind of tasted old/ stale. Spring Rolls, $5.99- comes in a set of 3. The spring rolls weren't as good as the ones I normally get at the Vietnamese bakeries and restaurants. It was missing the crunchy egg roll skin on the inside and I think I prefer the peanut sauce over the sauce that was provided. Corn Dessert, $1.99- My husband also decided to pick this, which you can find in the fridge by the entrance. This dessert has coconut milk, corn and tapioca. It wasn't too sweet and surprisingly all of these ingredients go well together (my husband's mother makes this so this is a dessert from my husband's childhood). Nam Chao, $3.25- Spicy pork sausage with garlic and other seasoning, my husband enjoyed eating this as a kid and decided to purchase it when he saw it in the fridge by the entrance. My husband liked it and said it tasted just how it should. I didn't really like it and thought I was a bit salty (it's cured) and wasn't a fan of the texture. ---------------------------------- (Total= $25.20) This Asian store (I believe is a Hmong store) sells a fairly good selection of Asian snacks, foods, ingredients, drinks, cookware, premade meals and desserts, etc. There are also egg rolls and sesame balls by the register that you can purchase. Although a smaller Asian market than ones that I typically frequent, this store has plenty of variety. Overall, had a good experience and would visit again, especially for the premade meals.

It all started when I was watching TikTok this past week. You know what happens. Someone posts a video of them cooking some amazing meal and you decide you have to try it. That's what happened to me. But as Murphy would have it, I was missing a couple key ingredients. Add to that the time crunch because the vegetables that were in my fridge weren't getting any fresher and it was a FREAKING EMERGENCY! I decided to stop at Angkor Asian Market because it was right across from the gym. Turns out, they have so much good stuff. I asked the woman behind the counter for help and she was super nice taking me all over the store showing me different products. They had a huge chunk of beef liver that I wasn't shopping for, but bought it anyways. I was really tempted to try the pickled salmon belly that they have in 32oz Ball jars. Maybe next time. All of the produce looks fresh and yummy. Finally, the prices on products are pretty normal but where you can purchase a 3.5oz jar of sesame seeds for $4.50 at say, Raley's, at Angkor you can get an 8oz jar for fifty cents more. It's good to hit the local markets. I encourage you to give it a try.

I attempted and since I had specific images I wanted on the cake, I knew I needed assistance from a staff member. Myles directed me to speak with a decorator, suggesting that they could better address my requests, he gave me the times they come, so I returned the following day at the designated time and met with Mya, only to find out that she would not be available on the day I needed the cake. She explained that the decorator had already reached her limit for orders, which left me feeling frustrated, especially since I had come in the day before. Mya empathized with my situation and took the initiative to discuss my case with the decorator, but unfortunately, the refusal remained. Nevertheless, Mya offered to create my cake a day early, as she was working that day, and her effort truly paid off. I love to cook, so of course grocery shopping is fun to me. Their house generic goods usually cost a fraction of the price that competitors charge (including the other store that starts with a W!) Make sure to hit up the bulk bins. I bought about 2.5 weeks worth of groceries -- including cheese and some delightful chocolate wafers -- for under $65. I even found some brands and products that I can't easily find in my own area (Contra Costa County.) At checkout time, things move pretty smoothly and efficiently. My checker was friendly and super speedy. I was able to bag up my own groceries out of the way of the next shopper, which I think keeps the lines running quickly. I'll definitely be coming back again!

That's disgusting" and proceeded to put on hand sanitizer in front of me. May I add, I took an hour long shower before leaving my house to be met with horrible, rude, bitter woman. Winco HR please look into her customer service background because I'm pretty sure she has none. She is rude. I'm 24 years old and I have more respect than her. And lady, grow up. With curb side- Items were missing from my order a few times, called the customer service number and they refunded it. Not a problem but defeats the purpose of why I ordered it to be picked up by the curb because now I had to make that trip to get the items anyways. Moving along. I placed an order for 3 items online giving them a benefit of the doubt once again to have it delivered at home but to my surprise, these items were scheduled to delivered at 3 separate times, honestly, news to my ears because why would I want 3 different deliveries for one order that was placed together and they were small items to begin with. Had I known this prior, I'd not bother ordering. First item arrived, with no issues. Great. What can go wrong now right? Wrong! 2nd item was delivered past 6pm and was left outside of my apartment complex on the entrance gate. Yes no contact, no phone call from the delivery person whatsoever to even make it to my unit. He just left it there and left. I found out about this particular delivery after, a pic was sent on my phone about it being delivered. I mean, who leaves a package at a gate? Regardless, I walked around the complex, hoping it was still there but of course, someone must have picked it up being it was on the outside of the complex. Frustrated, I reached out to customer service yet again and they refunded my money and this is when I was informed that Walmart uses 3rd party delivery services so, somethings are out of they control but they are sorry for the "inconvenience " Cherry on the cake. I received a text the next day about my last delivery being delayed so I tired to cancel the last item because by now, I had enough of them but then I was hit with "cancellation may not be guaranteed" but "you'll get a response in 48 hours"- so basically they said- "You paid for your item to get it on time" but now, you have to wait for what's convenient for us? Seriously, wth is going on with their online and delivery services? As a customer, who frequently purchases at Walmart being it's close to where i live, I can definitely say I will not be using online anything at Walmart anymore after my last item is delivered. Thanks but no thanks. Way too many issues.
