Quality. Paid $20,000 for 10,000 gallon pool to get light acid wash, remove/replace single row of tiles around waterline, install rock feature (purchased separately), and remove/replace 500 square feet of Cool deck pool deck. I drained and refilled the pool. Everything was satisfactory except the pool deck replacement. The owner of the business never showed up on the two week job, and couple of workers said they were just hired for this job. The concrete pool deck was not properly prepared, resulting in the new coating peeling off in ten months. The owner of Artesian Pools, Ray Orta, refused to offer to redo the shoddy job. A few months later I hired another pool company, Splash Pools, to replace the deck at a lower price. Eighteen months later it is like new. Artesian Pools and Ray Orta screwed me. I called them twice to make an appointment to get an estimate with no call back, my husband called once and got a response and appointment right away. Then the day of the appointment Ray didn't show up at the according time, we sent him a message to see what happened. He forgot about our schedule appointment. Since we heard nothing but good things about this company before, we decided to wait for Ray 2 hours more. Only to be disappointed once more by never getting the estimate back. Ray is great as well as his whole team. They had to basically REDO our pool from some other bad job from another pool company. He and his team took our pool back down to dirt and began from the footprint that was existing. The pool looks great and we have really enjoyed the final product. He removed a broken Palapa and replaced with one however he didn't know that what he was installing wasn't the size equivalent to what he removed. I chose to live with the disappointment but after hearing about it from so many people saying how it wasn't a good size for our yard and why did we go smaller, I called Ray. He was gracious and agreed to rebuild and install a larger palapa like the one they took down and now it looks gorgeous. Awesome experience to say the least. As I always say, "you get what you pay for." After being a Yuma resident for only five months, I have seen and heard some of the horror stories in regard to the other contractors in town. Artesian we found to be anything but exceptional. Sylvie (hopefully I spelled that correctly) was a key player who was extremely helpful and instrumental to the pool being finished in about 60 days that was discussed. She shared with me a multitude of great ideas for the pool that were also affordable, such as vac line, Baja step, and a multitude of umbrella mounts. She came to the house and painted the outline of the future pool and spoke of the options available. After agreeing on the price, features, and all paperwork completed, digging began the following week. This was surprising after hearing about my buddy's 7-month pool venture. Two days later the rebar was added, and the following days were plumbing and concrete prep. All went fast and smooth. I have a lot of experience in concrete and observing their rebar work and concrete work for the basin, it is rock solid. Which is very important, as that it is the foundation of the pool. All the credit to Luis and his crew. Luis is a Rockstar in pool construction. Their entire staff we found to be expectational, hardworking, and friendly. After the basin was shot, the waiting game starts for the concrete (gunnite) to cure (28ish days cure time). At this point the US had closed due to COVID-19, however at the 30-day mark they were at the house pouring the deck. The next week was deck texture then paint. About a week later the project started really taking shape with tile and fence. Once they set equipment and the final inspection was complete, the plaster was shot, and water went in and the pool has been used daily by the kids, who absolutely love it. The most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with, not only did I have to fire them from completing their job but I have had to spent a obscene amount of money to fix all the damage they did to my back yard!!!!
