This studio is in a big warehouse.. Make sure you go to the 3rd floor and make a right. Its a little scary walking through, but it's completely safe. I loved this painting experience. BYOB and you have a teacher walk you through how to paint a scene. The teacher was very friendly. It was such a fun, relaxing experience and you have a piece of art by the end! I will definitely be here again!

I can't even express how awesome this is! I've done the in person classes prior to the pandemic and each time I went it was a great experience. Since the lockdown I've been able to do the online classes and I have found my peace and niche with ArteVino. I'm so grateful for the " create at home " kits and the staff that work to make sure that happens. Thank you James for the wonderful gift you are! 100% recommended for anyone who needs an outlet.

Beautiful memories built on a Saturday night with a great instructor and awesome wine.

Kat was definitely a pleasure to have as an instructor in a class my family and I attended on Saturday night in celebration of my mothers birthday. Class was super fun yet relaxing. She was super helpful and so chill about it. Definitely want to go back . Thank you Kat

Will definitely be going back. It was so relaxing and fun to just paint and sip after a long day. My instructor this evening was also super sweet, shout out Maggie for being so kind and making a somewhat hard painting into a manageable task. Pro tip, you should either groupon or book ahead so you can save some $$.

I absolutely love it here. I would always recommend this location for a nice personal event. This is my second time here and again it was amazing. I did a very small social gathering for my birthday and I kept it simple. Even though it was a personal event I did not book a separate reservation. We got to interact with other people in the class which I thought was nice. Although I was the one who did the planning and coordination for my own non-private event, my boyfriend and I were actually 30 minutes late. But with the help of the instructor, we were able to catch up in no time and I felt as though our paintings came out absolutely perfect. The instructors are so helpful and engaging that when you start painting and your imagination takes you away, you don't even realize how fast time flies and the class is over. I can't get over how great Artevino is. If you're in the area and have nothing to do or are looking for something to do, you have to have to have to attend one of their classes. And if you're looking for a cute date night I highly recommend their couples paintings. If you're single, you're still more than welcome to participate in the couples painting and the instructor even shows you how to paint the entire image on one canvas by yourself. And just as a heads up, if you know my reviews, you'll know I'm a big Groupon user so definitely check out Groupon (and/or Livingsocial) for a deal for Artevino. Until next time, ~~Life is blank canvas, it's up to you to make the masterpiece!

Was our first time ever painting and we were so happy with the experience! Instructor was super kind and helped us make our painting into a masterpiece

I forgot to review this place! We came in last summer and painted some AMAZING ostriches, if I do say so myself. We called the day before to book it because my friend had a gift certificate, and were told that there was no one signed up! They run with a minimum number of people, so we recruited some friends and ended up having a private session. The studio was clean and well organized. We brought wine and cheese and cupcakes and hung out. Our teacher had a great attitude and we had a fabulous time. I'd love to come back, but we're waiting for more silly animal opportunities. Bring your picture around the corner for a free beer at the beer garden!

Just had a 3-hour private class here for my birthday last week, and had an amazing time! Our instructor, Stephen, was very charming and had the patience of a saint. We selected what seemed to be a bit of a difficult painting for the class, and Stephen was able to navigate a class of 15 people (who were all drinking) through it successfully! Also wanted to note and thank them for this - despite repeated warnings to my friends during the two weeks before the event, one of them registered super last minute and showed up late. Stephen was able to quickly accommodate that person and catch them up without missing a beat with the rest of us. It also started snowing during the class, and they were able to send us all off with our photos in nice little plastic bags. This level of attention given to my friends and I really meant a lot to me! I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to have an event here, or to any small group of friends just looking to sign up for a random class. I'll definitely be back myself sometime in the future!

    Somehow it turned out okay?

Top 5 best date nights in Hoboken, period. My first paint night ever, and now I completely understand the hype! This is one of the best date nights in the universe of date nights, regardless of your artistic skills. That said, I'm unsure whether I would have this opinion if it weren't for the tremendous experience put forth by ArteVino Studio. Our instructor, Steve, was phenomenal! His enthusiasm and outgoing personality really set the tone for the 3 hour session. Our class painted Van Gogh's Wheat Field, one of the harder paintings the studio offers according to the magnificent instructor Steve. Nevertheless, Steve guided us through the process vividly and miraculously through some unknown force our paintings were not terrible! BYOB made for what was an already great night even better! Simply bring your wine and/or cheese and the studio provides the cups and plates. The entire class was having a blast and I would absolutely come back here again. Overall, the studio itself was very well put together, organized , and established as a venue for this type of event. Would certainly recommend ArteVino to any couples looking for a creative/fun night guaranteed!

This is a great place to start painting. It doesn't matter if you're a rookie or a master painter, the environment is welcoming for all. We got in a little late but the instructor got us to catch up quickly. The place is clean and welcoming, and staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus they have a free parking which is rare around Hoboken area. Plus they have BYOB. Our class was date night so me and my wife had to create similar painting which when combined looks like one big painting. The class was 2:30 hour but everyone was done in around 2 hours and they give a lot of time to touch up your work, and dry the canvas. Overall it's great way to spend and afternoon and you go home with your own creation and tell everyone about it.

Went with my daughter to a Wednesday children's paint class with instructor Pepper and it was the best class ever! Pepper was energetic and very patient with the kids! She gave clear and smooth instructions and was very easy to follow along! I would recommend this place to all my friends with children who are in kindergarten and older and any other day for adults! It is always a pleasure to sit during art therapy and have a drink to 'wine' down .

What a great space to be creative!! I had no idea I had Monet skills inside of me, but with the help of ArteVino Studios they all came out. Great place to kick back and enjoy some quality time with friends over a glass (or bottle) of wine and a blank canvas. The artists here are really great at explaining the painting process to you with from strokes from start to finish along with step by step instructions to creating a masterpiece that you can call your own. The pictures that they have are beautiful and breathtaking and the fact that I can create my own version of it is really cool to me. When I came home with my painting by mom asked me how much I paid for it, thinking I had purchased it and not painted it myself. I was flattered, and convinced if I can do it anyone can. If you get the chance to experience a wine and painting event DO IT you will not be disappointed.

Our instructor guided us through the process with care and attention while also really allowing room for our own personalization and hands-on creating. So often, with other companies that offer creative classes, you wind up standing and watching more than you are actually participating, and the end result doesn't feel like something you yourself made or even quite understand the process behind making. Other times, you wind up with a product that may have been fun to make, but it's not something you will ever use or display. Happy to say that this was definitely NOT the case for A Glass Act -- you get to make your creation, every step of the way, from start to finish; and the instructors are very generous with their extensive knowledge of glassworks. I look forward to taking more classes (there's so many awesome ones listed to choose from!) and would highly recommend A Glass Act to others - it's a fun and fascinating process with truly beautiful results that you'll be happy to display (in your home and on Instagram!)

And as someone who loves…read moreto create, work with my hands, get messy and fill my home with things that I made, a potter course was a no brainer! Blue Skies Pottery has been on my radar for a while. I no longer live in Hoboken, but still really wanted to try my hand at their wheel course! For 2 hours, you get to done an apron, and learn from one of their very kind and patient instructors. We first made a bowl but mine somehow did not make it to the actual bowl stage. I was encouraged by the intructor saying that going too far is what pottery is all about. Why play it safe when you can just mush it back into a big ball and start over. So try 2 was for a vase! Sure it's short and swirly and imperfect but I personally love it and it now holds all of my make up brushes proudly. Their beginners course is $75 for a two hour lesson. You can choose to fire your piece or pieces for an additional $15 a piece. So really the wonky vase you think looks silly is actually a $90 ceramic masterpiece... You pick them up a month later and marvel at the fact that this was just a blob of clay 30 days prior. I'm now soooo excited to try one of the 6 week courses and get better and better, but really just mostly love the idea of working with my hands uninterrupted each week. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

Each class holds a maximum of 8 people (please don't be late). This was always something I wanted to do ever since I saw the film, Ghost. Sue makes it a point to know everyone's name from the start but she gave me a special one...mom, because I came with my 21 year old son. Lol. She kept the entire class laughing throughout by getting to know each of us personally. I really enjoyed the group we were with. I already knew that I wanted to make a bowl so I can display it in my home. I wound up with a little dish instead. On my 2nd attempt I was like okay, you got this, you can make a bowl. I must have put too much pressure on the clay while going too fast on the pedal. Sue shouts out...look at mom go, she made another good looking plate. I guess I can use it as a jewelry dish. The pieces need time to dry. Choose the colors you want on the wall and they will glaze it for you. You pick up the finished pieces in 4 weeks. Please check out their website for prices. This was an introduction session but they also have weekly classes. I thought it was so sweet of Sue to ask if I had fun. I replied...I sure did because YOU made it fun for all of us!!! I highly recommend this activity if you've never done it before. I found it very therapeutic. You will also have the softest skin ever after you wash the clay off your hands. I had a blast. This place is located in Hoboken, NJ, hometown of Frank Sinatra. It's full of tree lined streets, cafes, and amazing restaurants. So come make a day out of it.

Local event resources were hyping up an evening comedy show at a new spot called "The Collective"…read more The tickets for the show were available in various packages, some of which included a "custom hat", which was very mysterious to us. Hats seemed like an odd counterpart to a night of humor, but we also had not heard of The Collective and were not sure what type of business it was. Thanks to a sidewalk placard, we were able to locate the business on the second floor of a smaller, remodeled building. The sign called out the hat crafting, which was particularly helpful in catching our eyes, though we were still not sure what to find when we made our way upstairs. My companion was recovering from surgery and was happy to see that the modernized building included a small elevator so that he could avoid the narrow staircase. When we arrived at The Collective, we were created by incredibly nice folks! We were introduced to the owners, Gary and Grace, a young couple that created one of the most unique and creative spaces in town! Gary took us on a tour, where we saw an art gallery with pieces from various local artists, a room selling vintage rock t-shirts and records, a custom hat designing studio (trucker's and cowboy-ish styles), a candle-making facility and display area, and much more. The team was really optimizing their location by offering a variety of after-hours classes and events, all of which were BYOB. The first of which was the comedy performance, which was held in the main room, where a variety of mismatched seating and a small stage were located. The troupe was led by Matt, while the show was MCed by Grace (a different woman than the owner). The two of them were outstanding, as was every other comedian in the hour and half-long show. We had been to a good number of similar local acts and been very let down by the lack of laughter generated. However, that show was had us cackling out loud! We truly enjoyed our time at The Collective and all of the friendly people that we met there; we could not have asked for a better evening! I hope to attend some of their future events as well.
