This paint and sip was super fun. The instructor was cool. It's a laid back painting experience yet fun. You can bring wine or non alcoholic beverage. My friend and I shared a light snack. We were able to talk and paint and also listen to the instructor. Honestly as someone who is not artistic my painting came out pretty nice. This is a wonderful place to have a date night! My date and I learned how to paint alongside other people who signed up for the class. There were only 10 participants (including ourselves), so it was not too rowdy at all. You're expected to bring your own wine and snacks for the event because it will last up to four hours (6-9pm) but time goes by quickly when you're having fun. There will be music playing while you paint and you're free to talk, so don't stress about this being taking super seriously. The painting is taken step-by-step and the instructor was a very patient young woman. She encouraged us to ask questions and request help if needed. She who knew her craft, but never looked down on us if we weren't painting exactly to the original material. After all, art is subjective. By the end of the event, you'll be able to take your painting home so it's encouraged to leave your signature. I felt incredibly proud of my work and it's a great conversation topic to go on about for the rest of the night. I would come back over and over again, as long as I have a partner with me. I do feel like the class was rushed. The instructor was waiting for everyone to show up. Which unfortunately cut into the painting time. The whole time I felt like I was rushing through the painting and couldn't fully enjoy it with my girlfriends. The painting was complex and the additional time should of made the difference. It was a very nice painting and I do feel like the instructor was very nice. I just wish the class would of started on time. Whoever was late, that is there problem. read more

I find it unprofessional that private parties take precedence over customers that have placed reservations well in-advance. It makes financial sense, of course - a private party will yield more money than a reservation of a few people - but it still leaves me at a major disadvantage to scramble and make new plans for a birthday surprise. This studio is in a big warehouse.. Make sure you go to the 3rd floor and make a right. Its a little scary walking through, but it's completely safe. I loved this painting experience. BYOB and you have a teacher walk you through how to paint a scene. The teacher was very friendly. It was such a fun, relaxing experience and you have a piece of art by the end! I absolutely love it here. I would always recommend this location for a nice personal event. This is my second time here and again it was amazing. I did a very small social gathering for my birthday and I kept it simple. Even though it was a personal event I did not book a separate reservation. We got to interact with other people in the class which I thought was nice. Although I was the one who did the planning and coordination for my own non-private event, my boyfriend and I were actually 30 minutes late. But with the help of the instructor, we were able to catch up in no time and I felt as though our paintings came out absolutely perfect. The instructors are so helpful and engaging that when you start painting and your imagination takes you away, you don't even realize how fast time flies and the class is over. I can't get over how great Artevino is. If you're in the area and have nothing to do or are looking for something to do, you have to have to have to attend one of their classes. And if you're looking for a cute date night I highly recommend their couples paintings. If you're single, you're still more than welcome to participate in the couples painting and the instructor even shows you how to paint the entire image on one canvas by yourself. I forgot to review this place! We came in last summer and painted some AMAZING ostriches, if I do say so myself. We called the day before to book it because my friend had a gift certificate, and were told that there was no one signed up! They run with a minimum number of people, so we recruited some friends and ended up having a private session. The studio was clean and well organized. We brought wine and cheese and cupcakes and hung out. Our teacher had a great attitude and we had a fabulous time. I'd love to come back, but we're waiting for more silly animal opportunities. Just had a 3-hour private class here for my birthday last week, and had an amazing time! Our instructor, Stephen, was very charming and had the patience of a saint. We selected what seemed to be a bit of a difficult painting for the class, and Stephen was able to navigate a class of 15 people (who were all drinking) through it successfully! Also wanted to note and thank them for this - despite repeated warnings to my friends during the two weeks before the event, one of them registered super last minute and showed up late. Stephen was able to quickly accommodate that person and catch them up without missing a beat with the rest of us. It also started snowing during the class, and they were able to send us all off with our photos in nice little plastic bags. This level of attention given to my friends and I really meant a lot to me! I brought my own beer and didn't expect a CHILD in the class , at first she wasn't walking around the class but after 20min into the class she was jumping around and in front of the class . I expect just adults in the class , I was recommended by others friends and family to come and enjoy adults time, not to see a child around 7 years old jumping around while drinks are open and near her reach . Great place to kick back and enjoy some quality time with friends over a glass (or bottle) of wine and a blank canvas. The artists here are really great at explaining the painting process to you with from strokes from start to finish along with step by step instructions to creating a masterpiece that you can call your own. The pictures that they have are beautiful and breathtaking and the fact that I can create my own version of it is really cool to me. This is a great place to start painting. It doesn't matter if you're a rookie or a master painter, the environment is welcoming for all. We got in a little late but the instructor got us to catch up quickly. The place is clean and welcoming, and staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus they have a free parking which is rare around Hoboken area. Plus they have BYOB. Our class was date night so me and my wife had to create similar painting which when combined looks like one big painting. The class was 2:30 hour but everyone was done in around 2 hours and they give a lot of time to touch up your work, and dry the canvas. The highlight of the night was the service. I called the place up a few time before hand to know what im getting myself into. The woman on the phone was so sweet! Then our instructor Carmine was the best. He was patient with everyone. And constantly asking if we need help or if she slow down. It is byo and the provide the cups and wine opener for you. You can bring snacks in as well. But there is not a lot of room at each station, so i wouldn't load up with food. There are always deals or coupons for the paint night, you save a good amount when using them. I loved that it was something different and unique for a Saturday night. Eclectic fun! You don't have to have ANY artistic ability to enjoy this; and if you do, you can enjoy it all the same. Not a bad idea for a date, by the way. You start by tracing an outline to create a sketch of your future painting. Then the instructor (Maggie in my case) guides you step by step until your chedeuvre is complete. The whole process took 2.5 hours. About 20 minutes in, I entered a Zen-like trance and did not come out until the art piece was finished. I wish they would take an MRI of my brain as I zoned out, because I was either in samadhi or teleported into another universe - I admit, it could have been the wine that I brought with me. They allow, and most people take advantage, to BYOB and consume while composing. There are usually snacks around, such as free bagels and orange juice - so if you're hungry, you may partake. All supplies are included and the fact that its BYOB is incredible. My first class I had gotten a groupon for my mom and I to go. She loved it! I got this as a groupon for my sister and I and we were finally able to go 6 months later. My sister is the creative one and I am not at all so I was a little worried my painting would come out horrendous, especially since we picked a Van Gogh. The place was tough to find, it's in this huge unmarked building in the outskirts of Hoboken. The room was huge and there were plenty of paintbrushes to use. I have to say the experience was great, I love that it's BYOB. Our instructor was very good and helpful even with the large group of 30 in the room. She walked around and have each person 1 on 1 time throughout the night. I ended up having a painting that I was able to hang in my room without fear of embarrassment!
