Dr. Mezzacappa said to me that if his own wife had breast cancer, he would send her to Dr, John Pellegrino located at the Women's Center in Centrastate Hospital located in Freehold, N.J. When I researched Dr. John Pellegrino, I learned that he is the #1 breast cancer doctor in N.J. Dr. Pellegrino successfully operated on me back in July 2021 and I am still with him today 12/16/22. Dr. John Pellegrino is not only my breast cancer doctor but my newfound best friend. Since my cancer operation I have endured a month of radiation, vertigo, kidney stones, melanoma and bladder infections. After getting each diagnosis I immediately contact Dr Pellegrino and inform him of my ailment. Dr. Pellegrino is a God Sent doctor. He holds my hand through each and every ailment and with his comforting words I am able to successfully recover. I truly believe that I would not have been able to successfully survive these painful ailments without Dr. John Pellegrino by my side. Unfortunately insurance companies normally side with physicians because they have to "trust standard of care" and likely the fake documentation she writes up on patients to get $$. She's the only rheumatologist in the area that would take my mom's insurance so that's why my mom went to her. My mom got a blood test a week before her appointment. She arrived at her appointment and waited 90 MINUTES to see Sawsan, she finally saw her for her Prolia shot and the doctor said her blood work wasn't in so she couldn't give her the shot. My mom was obviously upset after waiting 90 minutes, paying a copay, and not even getting what she needed from the doctor. The Sawsan was so nasty when my mom said this and basically suggested that she go to another doc if she was unhappy. So basically she got her $$ for the visit and DIDN'T DO A DAMN THING. Dr Fishkoff took over, and between him and PA Brandon Hom, they started the journey of figuring out what was happening to me. I was previously(2010) diagnosed with Lupus without much education or real help with staying healthy. In 2023, my health took a turn for the worse and debilitated me; I was scared and at my wit's end because no one could tell me what was happening to me. Thank God I found both offices. I was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue disease( RA, Sjogren's Syndrome, Lupus) and Fibromyalgia. My head spun; I felt like I was losing my mind. I fell into depression from losing mobility and not being who I once was. Although I am not back to where I was, I feel like they saved my life. Few offices in Rheumatology understand what we are going through. Dr. Fishkoff listened to me in my frantic state and heard me clearly when I knew I struggled to explain what was happening. He was patient and provided a plan that I am confident will get me back to "myself" to some degree. I know more about my health issues now, and I am educated and confident even in my disability. These were truly awful! Relatively speaking, CMC is day and night difference. And even in an absolute sense, CMC is outright 5 stars. The facility is new, ambiance current, technologies cutting edge, and the staff onsistently friendly and professional. Parking is close and free. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm. You checking in the lobby using your drivers license; in exchange your get a photo guest pass. There is a nice little cafeteria in the lobby immediately at the main entrance (2). My family and I were in awe of how consistently friendly, responsive and helpful each of the many staff we came to interact with was (big shout out to North 4). OK there was one exception, ironically with the receptionists at the check in at both ER the and the main hospital. They were not friendly per se. I was visiting my Mom in the ER but there was already 2 visitors with her so I had to call one of them to come out before I could go in. However there was no cellular signal inside the room they were in. I told the receptionist and he said "you still need to go sit down and wait until there is signal!". What so how would they know to come out. I was smoldering. Luckily before I made a scene he quickly corrected himself and made a call to the room to have someone come out. A near miss!!! I still won't hesitate to recommend CMC to my friends and relatives. It's top notch service. PS. Oh the meals for the patients were pretty high quality too!

Most distressing to me is having my blood drawn. Well, today was that day and it was my…read moregastroenterologist who recommended Quest Diagnostics to me. My fear stemmed from getting my blood drawn because the phlebotomist at my regular family physician's office often bruised me, leaving me with horribly bruised veins. I went onto Quest Diagnostics' website and easily created an account and set up an appointment. I was quickly sent a QR code in which I was to use on the day of the check-in. All masked up, I went in and saw the online registration station. I scanned my QR code and it beeped, stating my appointment was confirmed. You have several options for waiting: wait in the austere waiting room, wait outside, or wait in your car and they will text you when it is your turn. Brilliant! Why can't all places be like this? For those of you who do not have an appointment, you can still come in but those with appointments will get seen before you. My phlebotomist, Jocelyn, was excellent! Everyone was masked up and all had surgical gloves on. She inputted all my information from my script into the computer. She then took out the necessary vials for the ordered blood tests, as my gastroenterologist had requested. Jocelyn double-checked all notes prior to taking my blood and patiently and reassuringly, explained each process. She used a small butterfly needle and easily took my blood. Jocelyn had a total of 12 vials to fill and not once did I feel anything as she changed those vials as she drew my blood. Shocked because I have always felt it, from previous experiences, when a phlebotomist exchanged one vial for another. Other than the pinching of the needle when Jocelyn first inserted the needle, it was quick and reasonably painless. Quest Diagnostics honors most insurance but always double-check with your provider first. Always have a script prior to going. My experience was outstanding and Jocelyn was exceptional. I decided for all future bloodwork that needs to be done prior to my yearly physical check-up, I will be coming here.
