Most distressing to me is having my blood drawn. Well, today was that day and it was my gastroenterologist who recommended Quest Diagnostics to me. My fear stemmed from getting my blood drawn because the phlebotomist at my regular family physician's office often bruised me, leaving me with horribly bruised veins. I went onto Quest Diagnostics' website and easily created an account and set up an appointment. I was quickly sent a QR code in which I was to use on the day of the check-in. All masked up, I went in and saw the online registration station. I scanned my QR code and it beeped, stating my appointment was confirmed. You have several options for waiting: wait in the austere waiting room, wait outside, or wait in your car and they will text you when it is your turn. Brilliant! Why can't all places be like this? For those of you who do not have an appointment, you can still come in but those with appointments will get seen before you. My phlebotomist, Jocelyn, was excellent! Everyone was masked up and all had surgical gloves on. She inputted all my information from my script into the computer. She then took out the necessary vials for the ordered blood tests, as my gastroenterologist had requested. Jocelyn double-checked all notes prior to taking my blood and patiently and reassuringly, explained each process. She used a small butterfly needle and easily took my blood. Jocelyn had a total of 12 vials to fill and not once did I feel anything as she changed those vials as she drew my blood. Shocked because I have always felt it, from previous experiences, when a phlebotomist exchanged one vial for another. Other than the pinching of the needle when Jocelyn first inserted the needle, it was quick and reasonably painless. Quest Diagnostics honors most insurance but always double-check with your provider first. Always have a script prior to going. My experience was outstanding and Jocelyn was exceptional. I decided for all future bloodwork that needs to be done prior to my yearly physical check-up, I will be coming here. read more

With an appointment, you can be in and out of here in 5 minutes with routine bloodwork! What else could you ask for?! Very convenient, super clean testing facility for blood work and other medical prescriptions. It's back in the far left corner of Mounts Corner shopping plaza. Park as if you were going to Baco's pizzeria. It's across from it tucked away towards the back. Once you find it you'll be glad you did. A very professional, friendly staff awaits you. They have the process down like clockwork. You do have to login on a computer which can be a little temperamental. But once you get the hang of it it's super fast. Don't press the screen too hard or it won't work, the sign on it says press lightly. And they mean it!! The reason for the 5 stars is how easy it is to make an appointment and most importantly how well they HONOR the appointment. If you make a 730 appointment, they will call you at 7:30. Not 8 o'clock or 830. Even if others were waiting before you. I have gone there before without an appointment and really didn't have to wait too long. They move pretty quickly. But I never go without an appointment anymore since it's so easy. Highly recommended for bloodwork, etc. read more

I switched to Quest after another lab started appointment only but didn't bother to let anyone know. When I got there it was a large room with only a drcent amount of chairs. I was called about a minute after signing in. My dr. Hadn't faxed the prescription but they got it in a few minutes. Very professional and pleasant. The blood drawing was quick and painless, and I was out of there quickly. The only suggestion I have is to get the nonstick tape. I always get a huge bruise from the regular stuff. read more

My go-to lab testing facility. This place is kind of hidden in the back corner of the shopping development. If you're not paying attention you can miss the signage (I did that the first time)for this place. I have never had an issue here. As long as you have an appointment there will be a minimal wait (if any.) The lab technicians are super quick. The facility is clean and runs like clock work. They accommodate walk-ins, I'm just not sure how long the wait would be because I've never done that. If you are having fasting blood work done I would suggest making an appointment. When you make the appointment online you can view the calendar with all the open time slots for the day of your appointment. Easy-peasy. :) read more

I love this Quest. They're very speedy and will have you in and out within minutes. Sometimes I pass out or feel faint when I get my blood taken but they make the process so smooth there isn't too much time to get worked up about it. Plus there's lots of good places to pick up food for lunch afterwards to break your fast! :) read more

Today received a $10 check back from Quest. It was attached to Quest Diagnostics billing from Freehold NJ. Wondered why I got a check back. On billing sheet was a Reference column. Just had blood drawn by a very nice young man. I normally prepare myself for the ouch but honestly, there was none. If you are lucky enough to have Victor draw your blood. you won't feel a thing. Best experience ever. read more

I sat down in the chair and told the employee I get vasovagal so he was aware (short with glasses male). He said ok. As he prepared to get ready, I asked if I could go into another room as I sometimes faint. He said "oh you should've led with that". I said "I did. As soon as I sat down". He said "I wasn't paying attention" - WHO SAYS THAT!!!!! He also didn't seem to even know what vasovagal even was which is very odd given his profession. (Honestly, if he had started off professional and warm in the beginning, I probably would've been fine sitting in the chair. But I didn't like his demeanor and got nervous). Then he took me to a room to lie down and I said yea I have like no veins it's not easy to draw blood from me. Of course, I didn't mean this literal .. but he said ummm yea of course you have veins. Although other reviewers have apparently had better experiences, I've been to many blood labs and this Quest location fails in several regards. I was told there would be about an hour wait and that I could leave and return, so I left and returned 30 minutes later, at which point the employee sitting behind the desk told me she had removed me from the waiting list because she had called me and I wasn't there. I then waited another 30-50 minutes. Upon politely inquiring what the wait time would be when I'd returned, the employee attributed the simple question to "frustration" on my part for having to wait, rather than owning up to her incompetence. Friendly staff. Horrible check in Portal!! I had trouble with it. As well as other patients. The portal is like an iPad that is on a stand that moves when you try to push the button. It's difficult to put in the correct information and takes a long time to check in. Very frustrating. read more

I had been going to this lab on Mounts Corner Drive in Freehold for 10 years. I donated my kidney so need to always be checked among with other testing from time to time. The staff had always been nice. However, I noticed in the past year or so the staff completely changed. The wait has been ridiculous. Total time from when you walk through door is 40 min. This is with an appt. Last week I had to deal with someone who was obviously new but I was there 40 min. Totally ridiculous. She had to call for help. I don't have time for that. Then yesterday I went to drop off a 24 urine sample from an order that was put in that day & I have NEVER, EVER delt with someone so rude in my life. Her name was Shana. They couldn't find the orders. I was (slightly annoyed b/c I was there for so long the week before). I didn't blame her or anything, just shared it was a little ridiculous being all. She kept telling me to relax and sit and was just simply very rude and seemed like she was looking to argue... Before I knew it she started to get louder with me, then went on to tell me I cursed at her. (I think she was trying to cover herself from her co-workers next door). I was furious and got loud back and got really upset as. you can imagine when someone accuses you of doing something I didn't do. Needless to say, I left with my blood pressure through the roof - not good for one kidney! & now have to drive 10 min further to never deal with someone like that again.. Horrible experience.. Terrible experience at Quest Diagnostics at Mount's Corner in Freehold NJ. The office installed a new Registration kiosk system, to take your information when first entering the office. The is terribly designed and not at all intuitive. There was a line of 8 people deep waiting to enter their registration information because the system is so poorly designed. In addition, the system repeats entry of the same information I previously entered when I made my online appointment. Finally, the person at the front desk had no concern for my comments about the system and claimed that management does not care either. I will likely use Labcorp next time. read more
