He wanted to use the DV case for leverage of Equitable distribution and when I did what he ask me to do, he lied to me. unless it will benefit him financially he will NOT fight for you. They want to make as much money as they can to do as little as possible. He is evasive and manipulative and he Lies. If your kind they will run all over you. if you trust them they will use your Lack of knowledge about the law against you. It's a broken system. unless you are rich and can pay for the "extra" time it will take for them to actually collect evidence needed to fight for you then all you will get is the bare minimum. it's not about Truth or facts. We started the sale of land in 2024, and signed paperwork in March 2025 (after much prodding). It finally closed in May 2025, over two months after we signed the docs in March. They did not ensure that the buyers had hazard insurance in place at the time of closing. (We are financing the purchase.) They did not provide us with a draft of the HUD closing statement until the night before closing, so we did not have time to study the documents until after closing. Consequently, there was no hazard insurance in place for approximately one month. Fortunately, nothing happened, but when we contacted the firm, they made ridiculous excuses (often self-contradictory), and tried to defect blame onto the buyer. That's insulting because their firm represented both us (the sellers) AND the buyers in this transaction. We were/are extremely disappointed in this firm. Too slow. Too unresponsive. Too careless. (They also neglected to ensure that all of the real estate from my mom's estate was transferred to my and my husband's names. We found out about it when we got a notice addressed to my deceased mother that the property was revalued.) I'm sure this used to be a great firm, because it has been in business for many, many years. However, that is no longer the case -- at least from our experience.
