What an amazing dance studio! My wife and I have been dancing at this studio for 6+ years, which is a testament to Lisa, the owner, and her staff. We dance smooth and latin dances such as, waltz, tango, foxtrot, bolero, swing, rumba, cha cha and others. My wife and I each have weekly lessons with different instructors and also have lessons together. We also participate in the Arthur Murray Etobicoke two weekly group classes for our dance level and two general social parties. These parties and group classes are very enjoyable, as we practice and learn different dance steps and routines and we get to dance with many other students from different dance levels. Our dance studio is always having theme parties, where everyone gets dressed up the various themes and there are Christmas parties and more. The atmosphere is so club like and friendly, that dinner/dance parties occur outside of the dance studio. We have been to Arthur Murray sponsored, local dance competitions, which are extremely fun and help develop ones' skills and we have done many Spotlight Dances, where we dance in front of an audience. We also go to international dance competitions with our instructors from Arthur Murray, including Montreal, Rome and our next one in Maui. These international dance competitions are a great way to compete with dancers from all over the world and great way to develop more dance techniques. International competitions also include tours/excursions at the destination and dinner/dancing in chateaus with other dancers and instructors, which gives everyone the opportunity to dance/meet new people and make new friends. The instructors here are some of, if not the best in the industry and the dance studio has a very good size dance floor compared to some of the other studios I have been to. 2 yrs ago, dancing was terrifying, but now thanks to AM Etobicoke it is what I most look forward to in life! Before, at weddings or parties (and if I'm being honest, also in life), I felt clumsy, overweight, awkward and graceless. One day I'd had enough, and walked into Arthur Murray Etobicoke and asked them to teach me how to dance. I was extremely nervous, but their warm and non-judgmental attitudes put me right at ease. My highest hope was that someday I might be able to dance such that I would at least not be noticed or teased for my terrible dancing on a dancefloor. Never in a million years did I think that I would actually start to like, and then fall in love with dancing. Since I started dancing with AM Etobicoke, I've learned how to dance and follow nearly any style of dance without needing to memorize the steps. Now, I perform in front of large audiences, and dancing is what I most look forward to doing every day. I feel more confident and at ease on the dance floor. Moreover, I've lost 25 lbs. and I'm more focused, confident, grounded, connected, graceful, poised, passionate and unleashed not only on the dance floor but in life! Its made a huge difference in my marriage, my relationships, my business, and for the many people I coach. I am SO grateful to my extraordinary instructors and every single person at AM Etobicoke who have contributed to me discovering myself newly, and who give so much of their hearts and talent every day to treating me like a professional dancer even on the days when I'm scattered, unfocused, irresponsible and tripping over my own feet. There is a non-mdeicinal way to answer all those questions. It is ball room dancing at Arthur Murray in Etobicoke. You will get lots of individual attention even in their group classes. The instructors are very talented dancers and fun and encouraging instructors. The staff and the instructors are the most upbeat positive and encouraging people I have ever met. It is so much fun you won't mind the great work out you will get. I lost about 3 dress sizes as I lost weight and my muscles toned up without my even noticing it. My posture improved. I had more energy. I am healthier and happier. My doctor, work colleagues, family members and other friends have seen a difference in me in my appearance and attitude. I have met some really amazing people, made good friends and my social life improved. Dancing has gotten me out of my box and I am having more fun. It has been a life changing event for me and I have found my passion. I am doing things that I never thought I would do such as performing in front of an audience and going to places such as Vienna to compete with other students of Arthur Murray Dance Studios. I am having a "blast". I think that this studio has helped my inner extrovert to come out and I am enjoying it all. Thanks to all my great instructors there. I've been taking lessons at Arthur Murray Etobicoke for almost a year. The location is very convenient for me because it's easily accessible by public transit. The studio offers a variety of dances, and you can pick dances that you would like to learn - anything you wish - and this is great! I have already tried a couple of dances I've never heard about before... lots of fun. The instructors are very professional. They have the right education and experience to keep students motivated and entertained. Usually, every student has two alternating instructors. I think I benefit more from two different opinions on my dancing and two different teaching styles, even though all instructors stick to the same program outlined in Arthur Murray's syllabus. On the down side, Arthur Murray is a bit pricier than other studios. However, while other dance studios tend to charge students separately for every group class and practice party, at Arthur Murray, those come at no extra cost with the purchase of private classes. The schedule is very flexible and can be changed according to your availability. I wish the dance floor were a bit bigger, though. Sometimes, during group classes or practice parties, it can be very crowded. Other than that, Arthur Murray is a great studio and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering taking ballroom lessons. read more

It is true that in life you go through stages. Three years ago, I was searching for something that will challenge me, something to do out of my comfort zone. I asked myself, "Since my passion is singing, why not dancing?" I did not have any background in dancing, no knowledge about Ballroom and/or Latin dances. Since I wanted to challenge myself, I gave it a shot. I still remember the first time I stepped inside Arthur Murray Etobicoke studio. Nervous, shy and telling myself "What am I doing here?" But the staffs were all friendly and tried to make me feel comfortable. They knew how I felt because everyone went through the same thing. With the guidance of very professional and educated dance instructors, I was able to learn new things about dancing little by little. And before I knew it, that very shy, nervous guy has now the confidence to perform in front of fellow students, teachers, family and friends. Arthur Murray not only helped me prove that I can take the challenges I set for myself but it also boosted my self-confidence. I discovered new passion and my gift of dancing. Because of dancing, we believe we have grown immensely in our ability to connect to people. Now we are both much more sociable, approachable and friendlier and this new attitude has spilled over in other areas of our lives. Dancing allows us to block everything else that is happening in our everyday lives. At the studio we escape to a world of entertainment and excitement. Dancing is passion, relaxing, distressing, seductive. It is simply incredible what our bodies can do at our age and considering our various ailments. The technique might not be there but we just don't give up and we are still at it after five years. The body might be weary physically and emotionally but on the dance floor we feel a sense of accomplishment as we master, or at least attempt yet another new dance figure. Simply said, 'You won't regret participating the Arthur Murray Dance Studio!'. I can attest to the skepticism for taking something so out of touch with modern society but color me wrong! Ballroom is back and it is fun!! The AM Dance Studio has definitely helped in a few aspects of my life, be it confidence or actually dancing with a left foot AND a right foot, and most importantly - it's fun (yes two times FUN)!! The staff, the teachers, the students - It's an awesome place to meet great people from very interesting walks of life and learn something new while you're having fun! Dancing at the studio has enhanced my life socially, emotionally and physically. I look forward to visiting the studio three evenings a week and working with staff and fellow students who make learning challenging, fun and very rewarding! Dancing is a great escape from life's daily activities and is a healthy way to reduce overall stress! I have developed greater endurance, feel more fit and have an overall sense of well-being. A friend recommended that we check out Arthur Murray Dance Studio as a way to improve our dance steps before going on a cruise in the new year. We were given a few free dance lessons and then invited to join. The instructor Daniel was a fantastic teacher and we had a great time learning the basics. We have gone back many times now and will continue to do so, it is a great way to let loose on a Friday evening, meet some new people and even attend demonstrations from some of the professional dancers. I 've been a student for a little over a year at the Arthur Murray Etobicoke studio. Although it's more expensive than the studio I went to previously the teachers at Arthur Murray have learned to customize there teaching to the style of learning best suited to the student, and I have found that I'm learning a lot more and becoming much more comfortable dancing. The Teachers are fantastic. The price is the only reason they don't get a perfect score but the teacher's are worth the added expense. read more

I joined Arthur Murray Etobicoke 5 years ago. The most difficult step is walking through that door. After that, it is a piece of cake. Do not worry about a partner, they have lots. Everybody is friendly. Prior to Arthur Murray, I took lessons at the local community centre. I did not learn much.
