I ordered the 20oz, nothing else, It shows up and ....it's just a disaster. wrong weight, wrong cut, absolutely filled with gristle, like well below choice grade. Good seasoning, well cooked, but a terrible, TERRIBLE piece of meat. After several great visits & awesome steaks, then a hard nose-dive on this last one... We wanted to try this place after reading the positive reviews, so dined here on Wednesday afternoon Oct. 22. Wish we had read the negative reviews also. Wife got the Ribeye Steak dinner ($26.75) and I got the Seafood Platter ($24.25). Steak was okay but we do it much better at home. We were told we needed to try Arthur Paul's. So we planned and travel an hour. It was 6 of us walking in at 8 o'clock on a Friday night. All of us ordered steak. We've been to plenty of steakhouses, including Hall's Chophouse. But the ribeye we had Friday night was by far the most flavorful steak we have eaten. They even make their own steak sauce! Gave up my sushi lunch for this, $28 +tip for two bowls of soup that had no flavor, and a club sandwich with no mayo, it was very dry. And the bread was falling apart, the sweet tea was the best part of this meal, we have been seeing the signs and kept saying we needed to try it. Maybe if there's was some salt and pepper, French onion soup left a greasy film in my mouth. I don't think we will be back for a while, we value our money and this was not worth $28 read more

On our drive back home (folly beach) from Atlanta The steak was perfect- the flavor- the seasonings- amazing! The chicken salad salad was fantastic- as were the potato boats ! Come on this place is a hidden Gem! First the outside throws off a private club vibe like the place your Uncle Vito took you as a kid to play cards and have a great steak. Looks under ground in a good way. Next I needed a steak sandwich and it appeared this is the spot. Wow! Understatement. Beth recommended mushrooms, green peppers, and give it a Swiss topper. Bam! The food is prepared to order and is excellent, it's well seasoned, fresh and hot . With that being said since the food is being prepared to order,do not expect fast food, the kitchen may be slower than some but I have found it to be worth the wait. The service is fine, sometimes the service seems slow but sometimes it's because there is a shortage of servers. They serve the BEST burgers in town! My family and I chose this place based on a friend's advice who lives in Orangeburg. We live in Columbia, SC. Walking in, the place is not aesthetically pleasing and no great food aroma. I wanted to leave, but I was outnumbers. The server (Crystal) was a jewel and apparently loves her job. However, the food was not what I'd hope for, or expected. We all ordered the seafood platter. It took 37minutes before our food was served. Nothing was hot, the broccoli/cheese was over cooked, scallops extremely tiny and rubbery, shrimp was lacking seasonings and barely warm. The only items that were palatable were the baked potatoes and the hush puppies! Woke up at around midnight with a terrible greasy feeling stomach and had to take Alka seltzers to settle it. Needless to say, we won't be returning-EVER! If the decor and ambiance turns you off, maybe that's a sign that the food will be also. Save your money, this place is not even worth your drive. Well to start the inside smell like old cigarettes, so if you are a person who can't stand the smell of cigarettes this place is definitely not for you. Our waitress Kayla was a doll and was very attentive to our orders. Now going to the food, very mediocre! To start we had the onion rings and jalapeño poppers (nothing special about it) just some regular appetizers that you can probably purchase in the frozen isle of a supermarket. You'd do better going to Ruby Tuesday's up the street near the highway. Tonight was my first time at this restaurant and it will absolutely be my last. arrived at 7:28 (reservation was at 7:30. They didn't have over half the items on the menu. Mind you this reservation was booked over a week ago. My staff and I didn't get food until almost 10pm ( they closed at 9). They were even out of most drinks. Some of my party never got a drink and we still waited and paid for our food. Then after leaving a few members of my party went into the Palms ( next door) and were refused service.... wrong people to do that to... do yourself a favor and NEVER go to this place.....EVER read more

Took over an hour just to get our food and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Ordered an appetizer of onion rings. They came out burnt. Salads were ok but only got 3 out of 4 until we asked about the 4th. Was told they had a lot of take outs. Had to wait another 10 mins for the last salad. Waitress was bad. Just don't know how else to say. Manager did get us another waitress(yes that bad). Ours was literally serving us with her mask just covering her lips. When she came around to begin with. The rest of the food was not mush better. I left hungry because our food was not appetizing. Food was delicious , but if you ever go and are assigned to a waitress named Caitlyn, ask to be reassigned! Absolute Worst service we've ever received. First we were seated and it was over 20 minutes before someone even spoke to us. Supplied no water, utensils, or even salt and pepper, we had to ask for all that. Finally, We ordered a Margarita and Mai Tai and it took her 56 minutes to get our drinks to us. We were done eating and getting ready to walk out the door when she finally brought them to us!!!!
