Best ribeye I've had in a while!!!!

So glad we found this little gem. So worth it. The food, service and ambiance were top notch. Definitely recommend if going by Orangeburg.

Setting: MILITARY GOING AWAY DINNER 15+ guests Food: OK - grilled shrimp/fries/side salad- fries tasted like homemade fries , cut up fried potatoes which was a plus for me .. to say their a "steak and seafood restaurant" , the options are very slim - they only have 1 steak, 1 chicken, 1 shrimp, 1fish, 1 pork option and they charge extra for certain sides like a baked potato, fried okra and one other thing I can't remember .. I circled the option for "adult beverage" on the menu but was never given an option. Ambiance : GOOD - nice for location, was clean .. I remember when it was a night club Service: ? Potential - server advised us that "the boss" basically forbid us to have more than 15 guests which was wierd.. You would think that it wouldnt matter especially since we had to fill out our own order sheets and they add 25% gratuity on the bill ... speaking as a precious server myself , should've been easy ... prepare sauces while they cooking and get pitchers of drinks ready for refills ... she also couldn't give us sauces for the meals Until "the boss" said so.... Not a good look *Sn- we requested "the boss", they never showed up I doubt if I'll return, unfortunately... if so

on the way to Savannah for a few days (MLB said $250 to Costa Rica and back would likely entail additional charges so yeah) and thought sitting down for snacks was preferable to sitting still on 26. if you come in the wrong way it seems kind of an odd location behind a strip mall one level down and adjoining a private club but hey, you know, Orangeburg... got sat and requested wings to start followed by fish and veggies and slaw. half dozen hot crispy-skinned wings come out slathered in a mustardy sauce with celeries and blue cheese for dipping. yea chicken! fishes were mostly good battered cods, light and white but not entirely flaky plus shredded white slaw and steamed veggies. good but not great in the late afternoon lull, maybe better when busier in the evening :-\

Today's lunch visit was a spare of the moment type of lunch. I asked my friend to pick a location for lunch and he chose the spot. Well to start the inside smell like old cigarettes, so if you are a person who can't stand the smell of cigarettes this place is definitely not for you. Our waitress Kayla was a doll and was very attentive to our orders. Now going to the food, very mediocre! To start we had the onion rings and jalapeño poppers (nothing special about it) just some regular appetizers that you can probably purchase in the frozen isle of a supermarket. Now, the steak was very bland with no seasoning to it. This is not the place to come if you are looking for some good food or steak. You'd do better going to Ruby Tuesday's up the street near the highway. Also they have a bar but it's next door so if you want a stiff one or a cold beer just know it may take a while since they have to go next door.

    Shrimp pasta

Took over an hour just to get our food and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Ordered an appetizer of onion rings. They came out burnt. Salads were ok but only got 3 out of 4 until we asked about the 4th. Was told they had a lot of take outs. Had to wait another 10 mins for the last salad. Waitress was bad. Just don't know how else to say. Manager did get us another waitress(yes that bad). Ours was literally serving us with her mask just covering her lips. When she came around to begin with. The rest of the food was not mush better. I left hungry because our food was not appetizing. Kids ordered pasta which was way over cooked, partially cold, and had a taste like it was cooked in seafood water. I ordered steak(was not good) and will leave it at that. Hubby ordered seafood platter and it said it was good. Would not give a second shot.

According to Facebook and also on their website, they offered a variety of foods on different days and I chose Sunday. I was attracted by the carving station in particular and many other items that were listed. Morning of the day that I was to visit, there was again a Facebook ad listing the foods that would be available that day. When I arrived at the restaurant, they were very busy. There was a waiting period of about 30 minutes. I had to sit outside where it was extremely extremely hot and I was getting bit by bugs. Once inside, I was disappointed to see that there was no carving station and items listed in their advertisement on Facebook that morning and other days for Sunday, which included prime rib, ribs, ham, etc. we're not available In all approximately 90% of what had been listed that morning on Facebook as well as in previous ads for Sunday, were not available. The manager (who is also the cook) informed me that the carving station with prime rib etc., was available on Friday. He could not explain why it was listed in their ad for Sunday. Ultimately, I ended up getting a refund and leaving --- do not ever plan on returning

I was in the mood for something with gravy for breakfast, so searched yelp for "biscuits and gravy"…read moreand this place came up. Sadly, they didn't have biscuits and gravy but they did have these delicious looking smothered pork chops with gravy and onions. And it was yummy! The cheese grits were also outstanding, creamy and super flavorful. The stewed tomatoes were memorable. They were slight sweet with a seasoning I couldn't identify but they were delicious and I kept going back for more. It was definitely more than I could eat in one sitting for about $12 Now, I'm also going to say that they also had shrimp and grits, and they let me try a little of the sauce. Girrrrrl! This is truly an OMG sauce! Next time in town I'm definitely ordering that! The place is smsll, clean and the staff are super friendly. The AC isn't the chilliest, but they do a nice industrial fan flowing to keep it nice and breezy.

We have gone to Longhorn several times. As I read these reviews and thought about my own experiences, the reviews made perfect sense. Sometimes the food and the service are very good. Sometimes one is better than the other. And, sometimes I wish I had gone somewhere else. Which brings me to the conclusion that consistency is the real issue. They always seem to have new wait staff and some are better than others. I don't know about the kitchen staff, but they may well be changing out frequently too. This makes it difficult to recommend going here. I feel like Dirty Harry saying "Do you feel lucky, punk?" That having been said, I would like to take a moment to address customer behavior toward the wait staff. Last Monday some friends of mine and I had lunch at Longhorn. Once again our waitress was new. This was her first day to wait tables on her own. She was nervous but did pretty well. Granted she got a couple of our orders mixed up but when serving a table of 15 on your first day, the best of us are bound to make a mistake. We took it stride and made light of it wih her. At a nearby table there were three younger guys, who for the most part were engaged in their own conversation at a normal inside volume. But, when this girl came to their table, their volume went up a few notches as they berated her and were very rude. When she brought their checks, one of them raised his volume to so as to he heard by several tables, that he would tip her what she was worth, "nothing". Needless to say she was hurt and visibly shaken. When she brought us our checks, the manager was with her. He explained this was fer first day etc etc etc. To a man we all spoke up for her and said she did a fine job. We also tipped her very well, to make up for the idiot's actions. My personal take away is very simple. If you feel like you need to go into public and very loudly berate and insult a server who is just trying to make ends meet, you need to make some changes in your life. You don't impress anyone. You should just stay home and order a pizza. I'll shut up now.

Un-attentive. Music so loud it was hard to converse. Food was mediocre, which was made worse by the server's scowl.
