We have been to this location several times for various different events. This is a total of four buildings that were previously factories that are now connected together and used for events. We went here for "the other art fair" on a thursday night. The venue is amazing, the place was much bigger than we thought. Could imagine goodvfor various events. The are fair was out standing. More "art" with the artists in person. Reasononable pricing and lots of variety of 2d works. We got there at 6p and was getting crowded quickly. One of the best art fair this time of year. Would have bought something if we had the room and will definitely go again next year. read more

I attended a Markets for Makers craft fair at Artifact Events in May 2022. In terms of the venue, it was very nice and I can see how it would work well for many types of events or gatherings. The indoor area was well lit with both indoor lights and natural lights. The bathrooms were clean and upscale. There was also a nice courtyard, where they had parked a food truck. read more

I have passed this venue 100s of time without noticing it and why would I? It is a non-descript looking building, looking like all of those on Ravenswood. Also it is down the street from a spotlight and I am usually doing 50 miles/hr to make that light when I am trying to avoid traffic on the main strip. Entering the building is a different matter. I was here for one of the Candlelight Series concerts organized by Fever. The space is absolutely beautiful and spacious. The space is organized on multiple levels: North Side Atrium - 300 Seated / 500 Cocktail / 8,400 sq ft South Ravenswood Room & Lounge - 200 Seated / 400 Cocktail / 7,500 sq ft South Loft - 200 Seated / 250 Cocktail Courtyard 270 Seated for ceremony / 3,600 sq ft If COVID was not an issue, I would be calling them to do a big ass birthday celebration next month. For the concert, the setting was super intimate and romantic. It just set the tone for the night's performance. I could see how this space could look amazing for any event one chose to have there as it was made to be decorated. I am going to say this space would be a photographer's dream setting as it has quite a few opportunities for wonderful photo shoots. The area we were in for the concert was in the basement. There was a full size bar and I could see how you could easily entertain a 100 or so people without it being crowded. Based on what I could see, the space is for large parties, but I would love to have an intimate cocktail party there for 20-30 people when it is safe to do so. Not sure if Artifact would considered in safer times, but man I would so do a happy cocktail hour there if they chose to start having them. Fever mentioned that there was an outdoor area where they would start holding events once the weather got warmer...I will be there. Because it is on Ravenswood and most of the businesses on that strip are closed when most events would happen, there is plenty of free parking. read more

Great venue! But the service was questionable and were more worried about getting out of there vs us enjoying the event I felt

Located on Ravenswood off the Brown cta train, this event venue has hosted some outstanding events. Earlier in the month, the Chicago Artisan Market was filled with unique gift opportunities. Small business and minority owners designed and made tasty natural treats/food, crafting classes (ie wreath making), handbags, scented candles, cute/sexy potholders, face masks, fashionable clothing, jewelry, and imported items and toys (ie alpaca sweaters and toys) . I spent over my holiday budget. Yesterday and last week I attended Blitzens Holiday Popup. There were at least 12 photo opportunities in smartly designed Christmas themed areas. The weekend had two floating Grinches, a hipster Santa and a Gingerbread man. I attended twice because I didnt dress up the last time. There was also a small group of small business/minority owners selling hand lotions, candles and jewelry. read more

We had our wedding at Artifact Events this past October 19th and it was the absolute most perfect day thanks in part to all of our vendors especially Artifact being our venue. Christine was absolutely wonderful to work with since the moment she responded to our request to tour the property. We had been to Artifact many times before dating back to 2015 for various events but it was super helpful to hear how people used the space for a wedding as well as understanding how investment would work. It was extremely easy to lock in the date we wanted, make adjustments as headcount fluctuated slightly and reallocate some of the dollars. As the final walkthrough approached, Christine and the Artifact team were very easy for the rest of our vendor team to work with and they worked in tandem perfectly to update the platform for seating and location for tables etc. Everything went perfectly smooth on the actual day of the wedding all the way through clean up. We would absolutely recommend Artifact Events as an event space and especially as a wedding venue - thank you to Christine and the whole team for an absolutely perfect day. read more

I first visited Artifact Events in July of 2021 for the candle series hosted by fevers. I recently got engaged, and my fiance said let's check it out for a wedding venue. I reached out to the event Manager Jen, and she was so helpful. The space is the venue, and Jen was very responsive and answered all our questions with care and concern. It took a lot of work to decide which venue. I am not selecting art event artifacts as my final choice, but it was a top contender, and I highly recommend the forum. If you ever attend the venue, you will be satisfied. read more

Wonderful place to hold a event spacious and good food and very nice people working there. I was there for the Green Tie Ball soiree a fundraiser for a great cause keeping Chicago green and beautiful The space is awesome with indoor and outdoor option for your guests I did find it hard to hear the speakers a various times Maybe could use some improvement on where they set up the audio system The upstairs was open into even more party space to enjoy . Will have to go back for to look at the artifacts and antiques some more saw many good finds. read more

Attended a wedding at this venue super nice and spacious! Staff was nice and friendly and the bathrooms were spacious and clean.

I came her for a String Quartet performance with my girlfriend and it was one of the most lovely experiences I've ever had. I loved it so much that I genuinely thought about the possibility of a wedding there (let's keep that between us though ). It's a lovely venue that is perfect with the right mood. They had a quartet performance with a bar and stage lighting. It was really beautiful. So much so that I'll go back for sure when it happens again. There's parking right out front that's free and you're in a relatively suburban area, so there are food options around if you'd like to grab a bite before going. It's a gem I wish I knew about a long time ago. Even if the drive is far for me coming from the suburbs, it's worth it! read more

We recently had our wedding here and it was such a wonderful experience. We loved the space as the decor matches the surrounding neighborhood and really reflects Chicago. The staff including Christine were super helpful in getting our day setup just right and answering all of our questions. They have a really great list of vendors, are flexible/accommodating, helpful. We did one of our elopement shoots and quick ceremony here after having been in to browse over the past few years. The space is absolutely stunning. Artifact Events was the PERFECT venue for my wife and I to get married in on 3/7/2020. Everyone who works there has been such a pleasure to work with and made our entire process easy. We used the North Atrium and it was honestly our favorite thing about our whole wedding. All of our guests loved the industrialized look; it was so romantic and comfortable for our guest count of 175. Christine was very enjoyable and professional to work with. I was just there today and I have to tell you guys that I absolutely LOVE this space. It is very charming. Romantic. Elegant. Also, industrial and modern at the same time. As a wedding photographer I think I appreciate that kind of places a little bit more. The thing is buildings like that are very inspirational for me. Our venue search was pretty much over before it began - as soon as we walked in, my fiance saw the look on my and my sister's face and knew that everywhere else was going to pale in comparison. Lucky for us, it was everything we needed, and at a comparable/reasonable price for a venue that can hold 200 in the city. Sachiko was responsive and professional, and was proactive about communicating changes to the space as it transitioned from being an antique store to solely an event space. The space is accessible, felt both bustling but not too crowded at 175 people (200 might have felt a bit tight but manageable), and they were very flexible about dropping in to look at the space, dropping wedding items off the day before, etc. My only drawback is that it is a little dark - and the additional lighting that pretty much every wedding example that we looked at in the space will add about $2000 to your budget. We had our November 12th wedding reception at this venue and it was absolutely perfect. It's an amazing space with the wood floors, exposed brick and super high ceilings. It was the perfect backdrop for our event. We had cocktail hour in the smaller space off the courtyard and used the main Ravenswood room for our reception. It comfortably seated about 160 for a sit down dinner and a large dance floor. The experience working with Christine was flawless and she made sure our day was perfect. I'm a wedding photographer and this is one of my favorite places to photograph. Couples should absolutely tour Artifact Events when looking for a wedding venue. The space is incredible and you have lots of options to choose from. Ample indoor and outdoor space for getting ready, portraits, guests, ceremony, reception. We had our daughter's September wedding and reception at AE and it was absolutely perfect. It's an amazing magical space with an urban chic feel, exposed brick and super high ceilings; the perfect backdrop for our event. We had the ceremony outside in the courtyard, followed by cocktail hour in the lounge area off the courtyard. The dinner and dancing was in the atrium on the north side of the space, with sit down dinner and a large dance area. Christine and Micah were both very professional and easy to work with, and the entire event was perfect. We really lucked out with the weather and were able to have the ceremony outside but one of the things I really liked about AE is the rain plan would have required no compromises. There are several indoor ceremony options that are all viable and beautiful. read more
