The proprietor was incredibly friendly and welcoming, but most importantly she can bake! While in the area i also went to the Paris Baguete (in West Hartford), and there was absolutely no comparison - Le Bahn Patisserie is operating on a completely different level, and if you are planning a trip to Paris Baguette I would highly recommend going to Le Bahn instead. As noted, there is a smaller selection, so I would probably call ahead to see what she has, but if you are looking for some of the finest baked goods you have ever tasted you owe it to yourself to make the trip to Le Bahn Patisserie - you really won't regret it! If you are a fan of crossaints, you owe it to yourself to give these a try - they are golden and flaky on the outside with an incredibly buttery and airy center, and baked to perfection. Whether you choose the almond, chocolate, or classic butter, I guarantee you won't be disappointed, and will likely feel as if you just stepped out of a Parisian café. The scones are equally delightful with a crisp exterior while remaining soft and moist in the middle, and abounding in flavor. Also, be sure to grab a Doodle cookie (or two) before you go, and give the Vietnamese coffee a try - you'll be glad you did. Above all else, the owner/baker is one of the friendliest and most personable people you are likely to meet, and I could have spent the entire afternoon talking with her. After complimenting her on the quality of her treats and contemplating the lack of decent bakeries in the area, she was generous enough to recommend other establishments which she thought would be worth trying. In addition, after telling her I would love to possess her skill, she encouraged me to give it a try and even gave me a few resources with which to begin my baking journey. Overall, I can highly recommend this hidden gem as perhaps the finest confectionary I have ever had the good fortune to stumble across, and would honestly suggest to anyone that they would be doing themselves an incredible disservice by failing to stop in one afternoon and give Le Banh Patisserie a try​

I have experienced all levels of customer service here but that is to be expected with many years of patronage. I prefer to order ahead online and grab my order from the shelf. I do also check the order as there have been a few times either cream cheese didn't make the bag or we were missing bagels. I love their cream cheese. something about it is so sweet and delicious. A cinnamon sugar bagel toasted with vanilla cream cheese is the ultimate. Easy parking. Right on route 10. I enjoy sitting outside in the summer time and watching the traffic while enjoying my bagel and schmear.

The store is so organized and clean, and pretty quirky. The owner Carly is very sweet, chatty and helpful. The items are pretty expensive. I got some whole wheat crackers coated in dark chocolate for $5.00. These are very good, a nice light snack. I also got Christmas pudding off the clearance table, I thought would be tops $3.00, it was $7.00. It's the size of a tiny can of cat food. It had to be microwaved. It wasn't very good. Dispite that, this store is adorable. If you ever travel to the UK, and forget to get a gift for someone, this store is a great safety net. The owner was a pleasure to chat with.
