I called Pelican for a second opinion and rather than just push new hardware, they did their due diligence to pinpoint the problem.They figured out that not enough power was being supplied to the pool panel and it ended being a bad breaker that was supplying too little voltage for the pump to operate. The guy taking care of it didn't know what he was doing. One week it's clear then the next he did something and it had a green tint. no idea what he's doing back there. But to charge me more than double and not to call me about it first is crazy. If you're treating pool and you mess up something it's not my fault. They asked me to send a couple of pictures and answer a few questions, then provided quotes for both repair and replacement options. I also did some research on the company and found out they are licensed, bonded, and insured, which gave me peace of mind. Their pricing was also very reasonable compared to other quotes we received. In the end, we decided to replace the pool pump. Chris explained the quote and options, Robyn handled the scheduling and payment process, and Michael came out for the installation. Took it to the West Ahwatukee Leslies store for a checkup. Picked it up the next day ... they replaced several worn gears. Works perfectly now.
