My hope in sharing this feedback is that proper procedures are followed on future projects so others do not have to go through a similar costly and time-consuming experience. I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with him and he was very nice and commented several times about how unprofessional it was of the other company and said they don't treat people that way. He asked me to text him our address and email and he'd send us info on his company, and we made an appointment for him and some of his crew to come by that Monday. I never got an email but ok. I also never heard from him Monday so I text him and he replied right away. Monday his team showed up, and between us speaking with them in our living room, our back yard, and they had us follow them over to another property to see the in-process work of one of their jobs. All told we spent about 2 hours with them, and they said they'd have plans to us between 7-10 days. Several times throughout the meeting they kept talking themselves up about how committed they are to delivering on time, how they won't treat us they way the other guy did, yada yada yada. 10 days came and went, nothing. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and said maybe they meant business days. 3 weeks...nothing. 4 weeks...nothing. Finally on the 31st calendar day I texted him saying it had been a month since our meeting. No reply, no call back, just an utter waste of time, and even more so than the first company.

I called HIM close to the end of his window. He said he wasn't going to come because he had just finished a hard job that left him smelling like poop. I said I didn't hire him to be a daisy so he should honor his commitment and come filthy, I didn't care so long as he did a good job. He showed up a mere 10 mins later, looking fresh as a daisy. But didn't come with anything to scoop the old sand out. ?? (He had already seen the equipment). I gave him something and watched him do the work. He told me my pool was super small (what does that have to do with anything?) so I said it is average size play pool: 13000 gals. When I stated the gallons, he acted surprised. But why did it even matter??? I didn't ask for his opinion on the size. ?? Then he told me our house was pretty small. Again ???? I told him is is 3,950 square feet and asked what does that has to do with my filter? He said he and his dad would be building NEW homes soon, because they 'do everything now'. Right...big talk from a short dude. In the end, he finished it and I paid him $350 for a one hour job at most. Which included 300 pounds of sand at a wholesale cost of around $100. Suffice it to say, this company isn't on my future list of people to use again, AND I have told Leslies that they shouldn't recommend them. He is immature, rude and MORE than a little full of his short self.

New drive is $1,000+. He did not have a rebuilt unit in stock, but offered to rebuild one and have it ready within 24 hours for about 1/3 the price. I picked it up today, installed it, and all is good. Apparently, the digital control that mounts on top may not be compatible with the newer drives, so he provided a newer digital control with the drive which in fact I did need. He even provides a warranty on any used or rebuilt parts he sells. A couple years ago, I needed a housing for this same pump and he provided me TWO used housings for the price of one plus threw in a few other spare parts I might need. I will definitely use Complete Aquatic Solutions for any pool related parts and service in the future. Thanks again, Jeff!
