There is also a second floor with souvenirs and smaller items for purchase. Taking the Laguna transit from my hotel, the bus stopped right before main beach (Laguna). And I crossed the street and right in front of me was this amazing gallery. (It was meant to be, my favorite gallery from my entire visit in Laguna) I was so impressed by all the artwork in this place. I was talking way to fast with the art consultant. Jamie (art consultant) was such a wonderful person to tell me more about the artwork. She truly is a knowledgable asset to this gallery. Jamie answered my questions, and told me more about the pieces I was interested in. The artists not only had amazing artwork but I really liked the fact that many were helping their local community in some way. It shows that this town has a great sense of being together and helping those in need. My favorite artist was Jon Seeman and his work was truly very unique. I loved the energy and construction material with a hint of science which was incorporated in his phenomenal pieces. I hope to buy at least one of his creations in the future. This might explain why there are so many art galleries on every street corner and alleyway, since it is just as beautiful and picturesque as everyone says. My friend pointed out this art gallery as we walked along the Main Street on our way to the ocean, and when we went inside, we saw some of the most magnificent pieces of art hanging on the walls. I found it to be absolutely fantastic! We met the owner and he told us all of the art pieces were created by Ruth Mayer, aka Mama Mayer! Everything was so vivid and vibrant, we were all blown away. I remember having so many Dr Seuss books growing up so it was very nice to see a lot of his art on a wider scale. There were also many displays aside from the Dr Suess pieces from artists like Andy Warhol. The art here is very comical and light hearted in nature as not to be taken too serious.
