The Las Laguna "Art" gallery/booth is located on PCH in Laguna Village. This place is small and cluttered with lots of shelves and tables of rocks and gems. When I say small, I mean maybe 80 square feet or less. You couldn't park a smart car in this booth/space. I think maybe 5 people could stand in this booth comfortably. I've been there multiple times because the restaurant and fantastic view. I usually stop and look when the bands are playing. There are only two walls for artists work, it is hung salon-style, very cluttered and not at all professional. The person I spoke with knew nothing about the artists in the show and tried to sell rocks. If you want ethically sourced crystals, gems or minerals, this might be for perfect place you. If you are interested in art, you might look elsewhere. read more

This venue features a select quantity of Artist in Gallery and even more Gallery Artist on their website from Contemporary Artwork to Fine Art. They also have an assortment of Crystals, Minerals, and Geodes. They also have mini 3D Art sculptures among a variety of 3D Art. Lori, the owner, is amazing, generous and always professional. Todd, who sells his art and crystals there is always friendly and makes my visits warm and inviting. This is not an art gallery. They sell crystals and shells in a small shack with paintings hung inside. Most of the pictures in their About section are not of their gallery. And if you are person of color, visiting the "gallery" is unpleasant. It's a beautiful beach town with a very "Get Out" vibe. I wouldn't go back. Well except for the Russian shop nearby. My wife and I happened to stumble across this tiny gallery when we were checking out the band that was playing at The Cliff one Friday night. The rocks and minerals on display out front were what caught our eye, and we walked inside to peruse the paintings, sculptures, and other works. My wife decided on one of the minerals and a Trumpty Dumpty postcard (check it out on the website!) LLG sells a wide variety of art work and they host a number of different exhibitions, for which they have open calls. Their hours are kind of irregular, so you might want to call before you go. I liked this place! The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. The staff seemed very responsive to my online questions and worked with me in person. What I appreciated most was that the art is mainly smaller artist's work and it's a nice thing to see representation of pieces you might not see elsewhere. There is also a wide variety of styles and genres, giving it a more interesting collection than some of the other galleries in the are. Perk: the views are amazing overlooking the ocean! read more

I attended an artist reception last night. I was so impressed with the owner, Lori. Her knowledge of art and her love for all things relating to art was so interesting. The gallery was neat and clean, and the art was tastefully presented. She provided appetizers and made everyone in my party feel welcome. First class treatment! A bonus was the live band under the twinkling lights right outside the door. The location can't be beat. Situated in Laguna Village, the gallery is steps from the ocean. I was very disappointed with this gallery. I enter a call for an art show and they over charged me. I reach out with email and Facebook message about a refund and they never answered. Also they had a deadline and then extended the deadline because a lot of people miss the deadline which is unfair to artist and not a good look for this art space. read more

A glorified Shell shack, Their website is very misleading, this place is about 50 square feet. the website shows pictures that are not from the gallery, as to make it look bigger. I believe this gallery has a racket going with Art contest monthly with an entry fee then they try to hit you up just to post on their Facebook and Instagram accounts. I warn any artist applying to their contest, this Gallery is not one. don't fall for it as I did. read more

The gallery owner and staff are very friendly and helpful during the submission process for shows. I had many questions on how to have my piece hung, how to have it delivered safely, and anything I needed was answered in a quick manner with no hassle. The percentage that they charge artists is significantly lower than other galleries I've shown pieces in, and the opening for the show I was in had amazing catering from the restaurant that hosts this space, a live band, and wonderful views. I wouldn't hesitate to show again with them, and enjoyed the assortment of other pieces on display. read more

Las Laguna Art Gallery is a great little gallery right next to The Cliff. The owner, Lori, and Todd are both great to talk to and very knowledgeable. They have a bunch of art posted on their site and some selected works hung in gallery, which gets rotated out monthly usually. Great shop in a high foot traffic area. I'm sorry to have to say this but this is definitely not an "art gallery." It is an open kiosk in an open want I be art area of Laguna Beach. That's the best I can explain. They lure artists and get you to display your fine art in a beginner's art gallery. I was fooled once. I was in total shock when I decided to make the drive down to see my art in a gallery in Laguna Beach. I was feeling so proud until I arrived. What a disappointment. I don't like leaving poor reviews but artists need to know. This "gallery" should be honest and upfront about what they really are. You've been warned. read more
