What an amazing selection! A cute gallery located in Laguna Beach on PCH right across from the the ocean. They had an amazing and wide selection of popular artist of many different styles. They had all kinds of price points, from limited editions to originals. I talked to Will, he was such a nice guy, and he was so knowledgeable about the art work. I ended up buying a beautiful piece by artist Fabian Perez of a Flamenco Dancer. I really enjoyed my experience and will certainly be back again! read more

Horrible professionalism and does not know how to treat people. The owner seems to be an angry person that has a problem. We never given a chance.... The poor angry man seemed to be very bold until he is faced with confrontation. If you are looking for art i would recommend any other gallery in the united states. The products appear to be printed canvases of pictures off google, just no quality with the customer service or art. read more

I saw all the good reviews on this place so I traveled all the way down from LA just to see all the nice art. When I walked in, I immediately felt eyes watching me and I was the only one in there. To let you guys know, I'm an asian american. I felt very discriminated against. The owner constantly gave me dirty looks and started recording me at one point. I really felt attacked. I have other friends that have been here and they said they received amazing service. My friends aren't asian americans so I'm just skeptical if it was just me and I caught the owner on a bad day. Although I felt this way, all the art was pretty so if you're looking for a nice place to go, you guys should come but be careful!! read more

The Village Gallery is a beautiful space with wonderful artwork. William offered incredible customer service and follow up from the moment we reached out to him about a Todd White painting. When we arrived at the gallery, we were treated to a fabulously informative viewing of the many different artists and their works. Poor customer relations. That old man need not to embarrass someone about taking photos. You can always approach customers going in with a nice statement prohibiting taking photos. I have obtained art for over 20 years from Village Gallery. I found the owners Pam and Marty to be very friendly and helpful in my selections. In addition to buy many T.K.'s, they have done some very nice custom framing for our family. Since I've gotten to know them well, I've learned that they do many charity auctions throughout the community and helped some of the charities I know like the Boy Scouts. A beautiful gallery! THE AMBIANCE: Two (2) separate entrances on the main street of South Coast Highway right next to each other that lead you to the two (2) sections of the gallery. The gallery swings around in an oval shape. Lovely music fills the air as you make your way around. THE PIECES: You get everything from Michael Godard, which I call the olive man (his paintings feature olives, grapes, and other characters getting into all kinds of mischief), Thomas Kinkade (the 'Painter of Light') who passed away two (2) years ago, and a wide array of paintings that make you want to travel sooooo badly. I especially loved all of the Kinkade Disney paintings. There was The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Lady and the Tramp, and many others. The sceneries/colors were beautiful and the detail was amazing. Another artists that caught my eye was an Argentinian painter by the name of Fabian Perez. Perez is best known for painting tango and portraits. The gallery features canvas, enhanced canvas, and original paintings. THE TIPS: A must go to on your walk around Laguna Beach. Spent the evening in Laguna Beach mostly in order to make a purchase at the Wyland Gallery and to meet Robert Wyland. After that nice experience we had dinner at Big Fish Grill and then took a stroll. We happened by Village Gallery and decided to stop in just for kicks. My wife is a fan of marine mammal art as well as Disney art. She just got a clean bill of health after her melanoma surgery and that was the reason for the purchase at and the meet and greet with Wyland (bucket list items). At Village Gallery, a painting of Mickey and Minnie sitting on a bench under fireworks caught my eye and I showed it to my wife. It spoke to both of us partly because of the medical ordeal we had recently braved together and the celebratory tone of the piece. The sales people were very accommodating and friendly and even stayed after closing (I think) to close the sale. When they ran my wife's BarclayCard fro the purchase, they said it had been declined. We assumed that maybe, since we had put many of her medical charges on that card, that it was maxed out. Mindful that the employees were already there beyond closing, we didn't make them wait while we called the credit card issuer to clear up the matter. I just offered to put the purchase on my business credit/debit card. Definitely not in my business budget but like I said, the piece spoke to us in the moment. The sale completed, one of the sales people was even nice enough to walk us out the back door lighting the way with his iPhone to shorten our walk to our car. This morning, my wife called BarclayCard to try to figure out the issue from last night. BarclayCard told my wife that she was no where near her credit limit and that they did not show any purchase attempt from Village Gallery from last night. They did show the transaction from Big Fish Grill though. The BarclayCard rep said it may have been an issue with the gallery's card reader or that the zip code was entered incorrectly. she recommended we call the gallery to ask them to re-run it on the BarclayCard and then refund my business card. When my wife called the gallery this morning (and spoke to someone different from last night) to explain the situation, the friendly, accommodating tone was no longer there. He was very short and not at all accommodating. He said he was 'with someone' so my wife offered to call back. He told her no and said that they wouldn't re-run the card because 'they would be charged a fee' and 'it would probably be declined again anyway'. He said the only way was if we drove back down to the gallery (we live in Riverside - about 50 miles away). My wife explained that she is recovering from two recent cancer surgeries and was not up to making the drive two days in a row but this did not seem to soften his demeanor at all. I want to say, once again, the two guys who attended to us last night were great. I hope they are always like that and not just when they see a potential sale in the works. I'd like to believe they are. But, the guy on the phone today is, in my opinion, the worst kind of sales person. Once the sale is made, you no longer serve a purpose to them and they treat you as such. We will still enjoy the piece we purchased and do our best to separate the mean spirited phone encounter from this morning from that enjoyment. read more

This is the first time I visited Laguna Beach. I heard many people mentioned that there are many galleries around this beach. However, most galleries are very commercial and not specialty. I recommend Village Gallery because it collects many stylish paintings (not all). Besides, its space is large enough to collects many different styles of paintings. Stopped by today while walking down the street. Was greeted by a nice gentlemen named Anthony. We ended up purchasing a piece and he gave us a lot of history behind the artwork. 5 star art gallery? really? I love art but am not an art snob. We have bought select pieces for hour home over the years. Something that speaks to us, and drives an emotion. The village gallery makes art fun but with all the emotion and esthetic intertwined. We went in three times just for fun before finally breaking down and making our purchase. Management makes the entire process fun as well, while sometimes buying art can be like going to the dentist. Andy Thomas made me feel at home, was willing to negotiate, and went out of the way to make the purchase special. He actually offered to go out of his way to get my piece signed by the artist.
