I had a slab leak in my house. The water damage mitigation company tore out all the carpet in one room and ripped out the tiled baseboard in my master bedroom and bathroom. Devon from Artistic Carpet One came out looked at it, took a sample of the tile and he managed to find the matching tile. My bedroom baseboard has been restored and it looks great it matches the existing tile and there is no difference to be seen. The new carpet in my guest bedroom looks great and professionally installed. I am very happy that I followed my plumber's recommendation to contact Artistic Carpet One. read more

Extremely frustrated several years ago we had vinyl flooring put down in our hallway, dinning room and living room. When it was installed we told them we have a alkali problem in our concrete was told by Bud wouldn't be a problem. When they did the install they said they needed to level the floor out I told them go ahead was told that wasn't in the price we payed and had to pay extra for it. Which I did. Then after it was leveled they came back a day later and sanded pretty much all the leveling out of it. At this time I was over it and just wanted it down After the install they had to come out several times to fix it. Over the past year or so we noticed that the planks were cracking (was told that wouldn't happen only hardwood would do that). My roommates and I decide we would take care of it this time. I had a box left and we thought we would go get another box just in case. When we went over to inquire the price spoke to Bud told him what we were doing and his comment was you didn't put a vapor barrier down. My roommate and I looked at each other and told him you put it in and I specifically asked for the vapor barrier and you told us no u don't need that just lay it on the concrete. At that point I was so pissed that we spent all this money and now redoing it. I never called back after he called with the price. This last weekend we took out the floor and noticed more damage the thresholds were glue down and we are unable to get them up. The bathroom threshold was glued to the tile so when the planks moved it cracked the tile. I was able to relay the floor it's not perfect but Atleast it doesn't feel like a spring board and Looks a lot better. I'm frustrated that I had to redo it after paying money to have it done. I am to the point if I had the money I would rip it all out and do something else. Now I'm just waiting for the dining room to do the same thing. We recommend them to several people who had floors done and they look beutiful. Guess we got the crappy work!!! read more

Don't judge a book by its cover, though the prices seem steep when you first walk through the door give them a chance. Along with excellent customer service "Thank you Devyn!" they will give you a great quality product at a competitive price. ANGRY!! Spent over $10,000 on new floors and the contractors who came out came late if they even showed up! Signed contracts and 2 months later, crooked floors holes in the walls, chipped walls a mess. Supposed to come back and repair mistakes - no show! No leftover supplies (floorboards) Nothing!! We had used them several years ago to install tile throughout the downstairs. They did a beautiful job. I guess things have changed, and not for the better. They are super friendly and welcoming in the showroom, but when you have an issue with crooked wood, broken floor, etc. the friendliness turns to aggravation. Not to mention they got full payment before the job was done! No incentive to complete a proper job. Stay away from this place. Bud is not your friend! read more

The repair of the two damaged areas and the installation of the new flooring in the laundry room went fine on the day of the installation. About a week later I noticed a few puffy areas. It seemed as though the adhesive wasn't holding the flooring down in a few areas. My husband called and spoke to Bud, the gentleman we had bought the flooring from and been dealing with throughout the process. He said he would get a hold of the contractor and get back with us. We never heard back, so my husband called again and we were told to try to get the floor to flatten back down by placing a stack of books on it. That didn't work either, and frankly, I found that suggestion to be a bit ridiculous. We kept calling and either leaving a message, or being told that the contractor would be calling us to fix the problem. After almost three months of this nonsense, we finally gave up. It is very frustrating to have paid for a job that was not completed properly. We had this same flooring put in most of our house in 2008 and the contractors that installed that did a wonderful job. Unfortunately the quality of the contractors they use has gone downhill. Even though they used a contractor to install the flooring, I feel as though they, as the business that we bought it from, should stand behind the contractors work and make sure that the problem is fixed. The first time I called devin came out almost immediately. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. I got the appointment for the estimate he came out did it and it took literally almost two weeks of begging to get the quote. I was obviously not a priority at all. It was a very high quote for the tile we wanted downstairs after getting two other estimates from metro and carpeteria artistics was the highest at 5.25 a square foot installation not including the tile of course. So then weeks later I got two other carpet quotes for upstairs from metro again and this time absolute flooring my husband said I needed three quotes before deciding and after several phone calls over the course of 2 weeks or so of leaving messages on the machine speaking to Devin him saying he'll call me back leaving messages with co workers, nothing! I gave him almost two weeks cause I figured he was busy maybe? But dang not even a call back. I have a 14000 dollar floor budget and I'm begging this guy to be in the running to take my money. I am totally done with this company and have given up on ever doing business with them. They have a lovely showroom but I just don't get it.. is it cause I'm Mexican? Cause I live in the hood? I'll never know cause I'll never attempt to deal with them again. read more
