There's as much of a small town vibe as one can expect out of a faceless, monstrous, anonymous giant retail construct. In any case, I don't feel as rushed or as crowded in or in danger of trampling ankle biters. The people who ask if I need help appear to be sincere about it and happy to be asking. They tend to watch the line up-front and get more cashiers on as appropriate. They also seem to try harder to fix things, find things and get things. Maybe it's because I'm not in any rush when I'm visiting family in Red Deer instead of being in the rush of my life in the City, but I find this to be a kinder, gentler Chapters.

I got 2 boxes of very cute Papyrus Christmas cards (sparkles and colourful!). Each pack had 16 for $20.75. They gave a little discount at the register, something like $5 off when you buy 2 boxes. I actually need one more box, I will return next week and get a box of smaller cards, Papyrus of course! They are my fav! Got some yummy Starbucks, the line is always super long here, but shopped a bit then got our drinks. Also picked up 2 packs of the cutest book marks for my fiance, a little Peanuts (Snoopy) holiday book and a onesie for my niece-2-be, it is really cute, all white and says "Little Sister" in pink. Great location and I always love my Chapters :)

Good explanations and order time for these. I had engravings done on all of them and they also converted our company logo and the etchings of it on the trophies and plaque came out great. Didn't get any deals but I feel they really informed me well, worked with my timeline, were friendly (even dropping off the trophies for the fundraiser to the pool hall) and provided good service. Oswaldo went above and beyond, looking in the attic to make sure he knew where the dryer vent was. He even got up on the roof to see if he could do anything. He was able to clean the screen in the vent to give us a temporary fix, and made suggestions on where to call to get the vent hood replaced. Charged us very fairly. I would recommend him to anyone.

I wish there was a zero star option. I went to their sample…read moresale in March to purchase my wedding dress. I picked out the perfect dress that had a smoke lining to it in my eyes. The entire time I was with the consultant I was saying that I didn't want a white dress. However, when I received the dress it was completely white and I felt pushed out of the store and told that the dress only came in one color. Believing it might have been the lighting I left the store since they were not helping me. When I got home and did some research I realized that there was in fact 2 colors. I didn't understand that "LATTE" was the color of the dress I tried on and simply signed the contract with the color "IVORY." I told the consultant that the sample dress I tried on was what I wanted and when she gave me the contract stating Ivory, I believed that was the color of the sample dress. When I made a complaint to the store, the manager didn't make any arrangements to meet with me face to face. She said it was my responsibility as a customer to review the contract with the consultant. After countless emails back and forth I decided to keep the dress and pay for alternations myself to put in a smoke colored lining. They did not offer a suitable solution. Worst customer experience ever! Future brides, make sure what you are requesting is being ordered!
