This time I had a photo session of my beautiful dog who at 14 is going downhill rapidly with kidney and heart disease. This is a black poodle and trying to get a descent picture of her has proven to be impossible for me. I have taken dozens of pictures that look like black blobs. I asked David if he would do it and he was happy to do this session. Poor David, my Indy was not the most cooperative subject but David was determined. He must have taken several hundred shots and from the few I got to see through the camera at the time of the shooting, the pictures are amazing! I want to wallpaper my house with them! I can't wait to get these photos. Last week he did a photo shoot of my family and the results were spectacular. Every member looked terrific and even the youngest squirmy boy was captured perfectly by David's creative and intuitive sensitivities. Soon these pictures will be framed and hung in our house and I know they will be looked at and appreciated daily. I recommend David whole heartedly. He is simply a master photographer!

The pictures in his studio are stunning however when we opted not to buy the bigger, more expensive package on canvas it was like our pictures did not matter anymore. They were not delivered on-time and the quality was awful. There were no touch ups, and his name (which appeared at the bottom of the photo ) was half-way cut -off!! I could have taken a picture and printed an 8x10 at Riteaid for a lot less. The experience itself of working with David was great and fun, but afterwards the professionalism dropped off.

Jack was our wedding photographer, and I have got to say that he was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I wanted our wedding to be as fun and easy as possible, and Jack fell into step with us, all while providing us with much-needed guidance throughout the process. We spoke several times over the phone, and he took particular pains to be sure that he captured our personalities on our special day. He talked with us about different moments throughout the ceremony, especially focusing on trying to give US the best experience possible. He was not just our photographer, but I feel that he was our guest. He was incredibly easy to work with, and the pictures we were given as a result were just incredible. He expertly captured not just moments from our wedding, but the feeling and that's incredible. There's just no other way to say it. Jack is professional, sensitive, has exquisite attention to detail, but most of all: he makes you feel like you're the most important person in the world. My daughter 5 years ago, and this past year show her maturing and still playing and having fun. My two boys were engaged when we did the first sitting 5 years ago, by now they are old pros at it. We engaged Joey to take photos of us enjoying the outdoors together. He suggested Rodeo Beach, one of our favorites! Joey scouted out several perfect locations before we arrived. He met us at 5:00, when the evening sun would be soft. During the photo shoot, he made us laugh to help us be "natural," even though he was recording what we did. Joey took photos of us walking on the beach, sitting on a bluff looking out over the ocean, hiking through flowers - the list goes on. We are thrilled with the variety and quality of our photos!

There are only so many pictures a parent can take of the back of their kid's head before she…read morerealizes that it's time to call in a professional. In our case, we even have excellent photographers and fancy cameras in the family, but capturing our 1-year old as anything but a blur and getting a picture of all three of us together was next to impossible. I had been keeping tabs on Joey's work for some time and when we were ready, I went through his gallery and wrote to all the friends I recognized who he had done sessions with (he's the go-to guy in the City now, apparently!). They unanimously said that he was easy to work with, professional, and caught the shots they were looking for. So we set it up! One of things I was struck by was how easy the logistics were, such as paying the deposit online, filling out a pre-shoot survey that asked helpful questions about what we had in mind, and choosing shots for prints from our gallery on his website. Joey is also affordable and turns the photos around quickly--we were able to choose shots to frame for Christmas presents within a few days of our session. The company he gets prints through was also speedy and the quality was perfect (especially compared to the DIY photo site options I've been floundering with this past year). Most importantly, Joey's documentary style of shooting was the right fit for us. He knows the city and it's backdrops extremely well, but I liked that he recommended we stay in our neighborhood so that when we look back at the photos, we will remember this time in our lives. Plus it made our kiddo more comfortable to be in his own space, playing with his own stuff. I was nervous that it was starting to rain and we wanted some outdoor shots, but it was no problem! We have some pretty lush landscaping in our condo complex that we showed Joey and he lit up, seeing the possibilities and taking some of the best shots of the bunch. And being a father himself, he has a cool, easy-going way with kids that brings out their best. We are totally thrilled with the process and the results and will definitely use Joey again.

He is a professional in every sense of the word There was a lot of a communication to ensure that I got exactly the photographs that I wanted. We scouted a bunch of locations, discussed the reasons for taking the photographs, and walked through the editing process together.
