I've been wanting to get lip blush for years but due to personal reasons, I haven't been able to get it done. I had my eye on Jen/ Artizen the whole time, just waiting for the right time. It's finally come! Right off the bat - everything is clean and sanitary; Jen washed her hands before touching me, high touch points were taped and if Jen touched something that she wasn't supposed to, her gloves were changed immediately. I booked lip blush, picked a converservative color and thankfully Jen numbed me up the whole time, even though there were parts that still hurt! I knew about the phases of healing and I followed Jen's advice to a T, but it still healed light. So I trusted the process and picked a darker color & wanted it more saturated for the touch up... I'm so glad I did !! My lips look awesome, they have a beautiful color and when I put plain chapstick on, they look like I have a lip stain!! Highly recommend lip blush. I wish Jen would have more services so I could hang out with her more if you're on the fence... DO IT! The atmosphere is really chill with good music so you're still relaxed. I'm surprised at all the positive reviews for this business. The lady who did my lip neutralizing (Jenny) was unpleasant and incompetent. When I got there for my lip neutralization appointment, she made me wait 30 minutes. She told me I would most likely need just 1 session and then could get the permanent lipstick. She gave me a "numbing cream" though she said it wouldn't hurt and I'd probably fall asleep during the process. It was the most painful experience ever. When I asked for a break to use the bathroom, she rudely said, "Again?" I didn't know it was a crime to use the bathroom twice. Despite the agony I was in, she didn't give me any breaks to catch my breath even though she had promised me as many breaks as I needed. It was like she was trying to rush through, even though she was the one who started late. Despite all this, I gave her a very generous tip - in fact, she said I was being too generous. After all that pain, rudeness and money, the procedure didn't work. She was terse when I wanted reassurance during the healing process. When I told her after waiting nearly 3 months the procedure was ineffective, she said I needed a neutralization touch up before I did the final permanent color. She wanted payment while booking the touch appointment, so I asked her how she knew the touch up would work since the first time didn't. And then she blew up, telling me she had wasted enough time with me and wouldn't finish the job. I told her she had to refund the charge in that case, as the treatment hadn't worked AND her customer service sucked. Net-net, she did a bad job, and was rude and impatient. There are other excellent places in the Bay Area. Avoid this place. read more

I have dealt with a few different brow artists and Jenny is BY FAR the best choice I made. She is open and honest about all the different options and shared her thorough knowledge of which technique would suit me best. She had great knowledge of the different color options and even focused on the fade out, which I've never really experienced an artist actually caring about how it faded out. I am OBSESSED with my new brows from Jenny, I absolutely love how they turned out! When I first arrived, she took the time to explain the process to me and asked questions on what I was looking for, and we talked through what would be the best approach. She really takes the time to measure your face, draw out her plan, check in with you for adjustments, and talk through each step. We ultimately decided to do a combination of nano-strokes and powder shading to really blend in with my brows and give me the fuller boy brow look that I wanted. Jenny used a numbing cream on my brows to make the tattooing more comfortable, and it honestly worked so well that I didn't feel any discomfort. I could just feel the pressure of her pushing and doing her work. I have body tattoos so I knew what to expect for the tattooing sensation, but I wasn't bothered by this procedure. She asks you to keep your eyes closed during the tattooing, so between not feeling any pain, laying down on a padded chair, keeping my eyes closed, and her relaxing playlist, I actually drifted off to sleep a couple times during it, hahaha. Jenny is so dedicated to getting everything perfect, I greatly appreciated her attention to detail! The appointment does take a long time between the consultation, preparation, and application so I would definitely recommend blocking out half a day for this but it's completely worth it. The studio is easy to get to in downtown Willow Glen with plenty of parking. The vibe of the studio puts you at ease with the abundance of plants (I'm so jealous of Jenny's huge fiddle leaf fig!) and boho chic aesthetic. She takes all forms of payment; I really liked having the option to pay for my appointment ahead of time as well so I could just leave once it was all done. Her appointment booking system also sends you appointment reminders which is also greatly appreciated for folks like me who have to write things down with multiple reminders or I'll forget. I'm eager to see how my brows heal and settle in, and I'll be booking my follow-up appointment for touch-up per Jenny's recommendation. This was my first permanent makeup experience and it went so well and made my hopes come true, I'm so grateful to Jenny for her expertise! read more

I've had my eyebrows done and am now having my eyeliner done. Jenny is by far the most knowledgeable, hygienic, and caring I've come across. She has a great eye for what works on your face. Jenny is absolutely incredible. I had sparse, misshapen brows with scarring from a dog attack as a kid, and she spent over four hours perfecting my brow shape so that it looked natural. I came to Jenny for a saline lightening for previous nanoblading that wasn't her work. It has started to blur our and turn gray and so I desperately wanted them to go away. Before booking, I contacted a few other places. Jenny was super responsive and gave a realistic assessment from the photos I sent her. It was super easy to book online. Her place is adorable and parking is very easy. Jenny is super knowledgeable and the whole process wasn't too painful thanks to the numbing cream. She's a great conversationalist and the almost 2 hours went by quickly. She even provided a sweet post-procedure kit with instructions and a few goodies. We'll see how this goes with the saline lightening, but after this first session (and I'm still in the healing process and I'm healing as expected) I'm super impressed with Jenny's skill, knowledge and attention to detail and I plan to continue my brow journey with her!
