The Published Page Bookshop has a wide variety of books, magazines, vinyl records, comics, adult coloring books and some other book type accessories for sale in the shop. They have been independently and family-owned for over 40 years, and they are a must-stop for all book and music lovers out there. This store is HUGE with over half-a-million books, movies, music and memorabilia. However, I think what makes them extra special is the curated selection of Horror and Thriller books, including some very unique collectibles. I am more into contemporary, so keep in mind those books are located on the top floor of their second building. Their children's book section was also incredible but frankly I didn't have the patience to go through them. This store can be a little overwhelming so definitely take a breath and ask for help if you can't find the genre you are looking for.

This HPB location also ranks toward the top in cleanliness and organization (books kept in alphabetical order and easy to find despite constant client browsing). The children's area is clean and inviting, with stuffed toys to entice kids in. The store also has a few tables and chairs, which I appreciate more the older I get.

During that time, I have consistently chosen to support this location and have recommended it to others. My most recent visit, however, raised concerns significant enough that I no longer feel comfortable returning. I am low‑income and shop exclusively in the clearance section. On this visit, every item I selected was clearly marked clearance. At checkout, the cashier (name on tag: Ivane) isolated one book and stated, "You have the wrong sticker on that." The statement was delivered in a manner that was abrupt and accusatory. Given that all of my other items were clearance, the implication that I would intentionally misrepresent the price of a single book was both illogical and inappropriate. When I asked for the correct price, the item increased to $39.98. I declined the purchase. As I exited, another employee offered a "bye" that was noticeably forced and insincere. The overall atmosphere -- from the register to the door -- conveyed discomfort rather than customer service. I was wearing a visible Star of David. As a Jewish customer, the tone and conduct of the interaction left me feeling singled out and unwelcome. I cannot speak to anyone's intentions, but the experience did not align with the standards of fairness or respect this store publicly promotes. After more than a decade of loyalty, this experience was not only disappointing but concerning. I will not be returning. Given the seriousness of this incident, I am currently evaluating my options for addressing it further. I would prefer to resolve this directly with management before taking additional steps. I am open to being contacted so this matter can be appropriately addressed.
