I loved the Adam bomb cookies! I see why the cookies continue to be a best seller. I was hesitant at first thinking they were soft chocolate chip cookies. They had a nice crutch, plenty of chocolate chips, and a delicious cream frosting. The cinnamon strudel and apple crumble muffins are big, flavorful, and baked well. The banana chocolate chip, cafe au lait, blueberry maple, and peppermint white chocolate cupcakes were all a bit dry. The frosting on each cupcake had a burst of flavor. Unfortunately, cupcakes and muffins aren't items I'll consider purchasing again. Note: The shop name has changed. Unsure if there's a new owner. If disappointment was a drink, it would be exactly this lavender matcha. The color seemed like a rich green color, which gave me hope. However, I quickly found out that It was pretty much green-colored water with strong lavender flavor. I'd highly recommend this drink if you are feeling a $5.50 extra-bland drink. I saw this place before and it caught my eye because it was a bakery and a bookstore. I finally made it inside today and it was cute. There were many varieties of cupcakes, cookies and other pastries along with quiche. The bookstore section was a lot smaller than I anticipated it being but I still love the concept. My granddaughter got a sugar cookie and I got a chocolate sweet roll which both of us enjoyed. I also got red velvet cupcakes which we haven't tried yet. read more

Went for the matcha but it was way too watery. Only decent one is the lavender matcha but even then it didn't taste great

I have been here at least 3-4 times in the past week, and that pretty much sums up how I feel about this place. Such a magical place. I don't even know where to begin. This cute and homey cafe is located on Magnolia. It's almost hidden and I have driven past this location multiple times. They have a plethora of yummy baked goods that are freshly made each morning. Each time I have entered, there is something new to try. My personal favorite is the almond chocolate toffee muffin. Did I mention that their matcha is yummy and only $4.50 for an 8 oz cup? I had the best time eating and drinking my goods while reading my book the other day. Seating is limited, however, my favorite spot is next to the bookshelf and window overlooking Magnolia Street. Such a pretty sight, especially on a sunny day. They also have book-friendly curated events and novelties in the cafe. In one corner, there is a 'blind book date' section where you can pick out a book based on the blurb written by the sharer. In the other corner, there is a section where you can write little motivational messages for anyone to read or pick up. They also have sparking tea's! What a cute little shop! I really enjoyed the smaller intimate space here. Design of the shop inside is just very well thought out, and aesthetically pleasing. It was very quiet inside with very many options on literature to read, and new book releases for purchase. They are also very community involved with many events for bibliophiles. I feel this would be a great way to meet authors and hear them speak, future authors, writers and other like minded individuals to come together. I love a great book club. Large assortment of different teas to enjoy while you work, or catch up with a friend. The staff are amazing and had great tea recommendations. Great location. I love that side of town b/c it's not showy, but it's a cool place to be without all the hipsters crowding the area. :D The tea here is fantastic. I had to try the tea on tap immediately b/c ....uh hello? Fizzy tea! It was so good. I got the sparkling honey ginger along with a sweet treat from 3 danes bakery. It was all so delicious. I should have gotten another tea to go. :D The shop itself is beautiful. It's very clean, well laid-out, very cute and plenty of space to hang out, read, work on work, study, etc. it was a very welcoming atmosphere. This is a cute new shop in the Near Southside area. It is a cute book shop with simple, clean decor. Books are organized by topic: you'll find a novel nestled next to a biography next to a book on theory. The inspiration/anticipation is that if you read a couple of books from the same topic your horizon will be expanded. Bookstore, yes! BUT they also serve tea!! They have iced and hot brews. This is a perfectly lovely shop, but their tea is so weak that there is no flavor. I chose the Earl Grey, but there was no Bergamot flavor nor scent to it. What was that tea?? They also asked if I wanted milk and then charged extra for it -- and they added way too much, making the tea even worse. No other shop in the world charges for milk unless you're having Chai --even greedy Starbucks includes the milk or cream. Making that clear to a new customer would help rather than asking a standard, "Would you like milk?" If you like fruity or green teas, it may be fine, but if you enjoy a proper cup of tea -- you're out of luck here. read more

I love this sweet little Book and Tea Shop. While it has been on my radar for quite a few years, my first time visiting was for a special event in their dinner and conversation series. They offered the coziest of spaces, delicious tea, and a very intentional selection of books. The programming for the event was on Death and Dying and it couldn't have been better. Cute little shop in a growing part of Fort Worth. We were surprised they were open on New Years Day, as everything else in the area was closed. Pleasantly surprised. There isn't a large selection of books but had an interesting collection. One corner is dedicated to local authors, which I thought was very cool. There is a nice mixture of seating that was comfortable and the atmosphere is relaxing. The woman behind the counter was friendly and explained the teas to us. There is a box on the counter with their selection, so you can smell their offerings. Sounds weird, but is very helpful when deciding what to order. I chose the iced coconut chai. The aroma was lovely though the flavor was mostly just chai. I enjoyed it and the cute little handled mason jars it was served in. I wish I could have sampled the sparking teas as that sounds interesting. It is $4 for an iced tea and $3 for hot. There weren't any pastries on the day we came in, but it was New Years Day. It was a fun stop in an interesting area and I will be back around check out more of what the southside has to offer. read more

Such a cute tea shop!! I can't believe it's been around for so long and I just now found it because this place is so cool!! It's right next to a bunch of other cute shops too! They have so many books and teas to choose from. Such a great environment and plenty of tables to do work on! I came across this gem over the weekend. It's set off in a developing area just south of downtown. Street parking was readily available. The inside of the tea and bookstore is charming. There are interesting shelves with a good selection of books. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the staff. They explained all the different teas and offered samples. I went right for a slice of delicious looking cake that turned out to be a chocolate Earl Grey cake. It was as tasty as it looked. I decided to wash it down with some iced Earl Grey. The tea was perfectly steeped and tasted amazing. I suggest you take a trip and try it out sometime. It's a great place to have some tea, read a book, and relax. read more

Had some time to myself this afternoon so I decided to have a cup of tea after visiting the Kimbell. This tea shop is in an interesting courtyard with a pretty church down the street on one side, and a bit of a creepy industrial area the other way (don't let it scare you off!!). The shop is decorated in a lovely way - not a huge amount of seating, but it was very slow while I was there on a Friday afternoon so that was just fine. They have board games and books, and quiet classical music. I had a cup of Assam tea that was perfectly brewed. Ask for milk or cream at the bar - they don't have it on the condiment shelf. I also had a slice of the lemon cake, which was super delicious! I'm a picky cake eater, but this one tasted like homemade. They have a few more pastries under a glass case, but this place really focuses on the tea. Really fun approach, and the service was super kind and friendly. I'm not in Fort Worth often, but if I come back, Leaves will be on my list! read more

My wife loves this place! We've been buying mostly their dry tea mixes and carbonated iced tea. The tea is about the best quality I could hope for and is less expensive than central market's imported teas of similar quality. Some of my favorites have been the Texas breakfast, earl grey, and English breakfast. The carbonated teas are delicious and perfect for a hot day. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, so ask questions! They're also doing a great job keeping the shop sterile and safe amid Covid. Try them out! read more

I like this place. . . But I don't LOVE it. PROS: -lots of tea -bright and cheery aesthetic -quiet -accessible parking CONS: -as a bibliophile, I would struggle to call this establishment a book store as there are just not that many books and despite trying to engage their tea makers in book banter (which is a great joy of my life and why I go to small independent bookstores in the first place) you can't get very far because they're making tea and either don't love the books or can't waste time on such frivolities -their cups of tea are small and $3 for hot tea and so I'm that person who spends about $12 when I go there on cups of tea. I wish I had a tea bag to reuse OR there was a small discount on cup number 2.3.4 -the seating isn't that cozy and the ceiling fan is like the polar vortex. That's all. It's 3.5 stars. I need to emphasize that I am not a tea-lover, yet this place made me love tea. It was that delicious! I loved the atmosphere too. It was like a little book shop that also sells teas and pastries. There were people reading, studying, and chatting with friends. The space isn't too big, so there isn't a whole lot of seating - a few tables with chairs, a bar with stools, and a couch area. We visited because it was listed as an independent bookstore, but it was so much more! State of the art tea brewing operation with staff assisted tea selection for the uninitiated - we had iced teas: Tropical Green and Sparkling Earl Grey (who knew that iced tea could be carbonated, brilliant!!). They were fabulous. Then if you are not in a hurry, you can kick back and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and peaceful decor. Spaces for lounging and working were available and the whole vibe was one of calm and relaxation - there was even an outdoor space to enjoy the sun. We would definitely make this our local if we lived in the US, who knew that tea could be so trendy (or is this place setting the trend?). read more
