Always happy to enjoy a discount to wonderful local productions. It allows me to go and enjoy theater more often.

The performance was wonderful and the voices of the cast were absolutely beautiful. The theater itself is large and you can see very well. I'm not very tall and even though people were seated in front of me I had a perfect view of the stage. The seats are comfortable and the ushers are very helpful. I believe there are concession stands on every floor as well as bars where you can get soft drinks or alcoholic beverages. The concessions are quite expensive but you expect that when you're at a theater of any kind. Very easy to find parking in the area. There is a large parking structure right next to the Civic Center as well as different parking lots where you can easily just park and walk across the street to the theater. The only rule that I have seen is that you do not bring in a bag that is larger than 12 in by 12 in. You go through a back check and walk through a metal detector but that's pretty common for any type of concert as well. Inside is very comfortable and I always enjoy coming here for a performance.

This being downtown San Diego of course you need to plan ahead for parking, but there are plenty of Lots nearby and walking distance, one of them that leads right into the parking lot of the theater. One of the positive aspects of being downtown is that you have plenty of options for dinner before or after the show. Of course you may want to make reservations ahead. They always offer concessions, of different alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as little charcuterie board type items, and candy, Etc. Of course just like any other venue of this type, it is priced above what you would normally pay for those items. I always try to sit in the orchestra section because I feel there is more leg room, and I hate to feel cramped. The seats also seem a bit more comfortable in that section. I will say I honestly don't think you could have a bad seat in this theater though. The sound is usually fine, but I will say for Moulin Rouge I had trouble hearing what they were saying especially during the songs. I love that everyone is always so helpful when trying to find your seat, they will walk you to your section and show you exactly where you need to go, which is nice because it can get chaotic with so many people ushering in. Overall this is a great location and the shows they have are amazing. Definitely reccomend looking at the season and seeing what they have to offer, they're is usually something for everyone

Wow....very impressed…read more Shopping around for last minute Monday Night Football tickets, I found their listing on Ebay and called their 1-800-295-0053 number. Plus, he gave me the option to park my car at their hotel location and take the trolley instead of dealing with traffic and parking at Qualcomm...talk about looking out for a DIE HARD CHARGER FAN on a budget!! I purchased Padres tickets through a 3rd party vendor that ended up being from Spectator Tickets. The vendor messed up my order and I unwittingly purchased tickets for the wrong day. I immediately called and was put in touch with Julia at Spectator Tickets. All sales were supposed to be final, but she empathized with my situation and worked tirelessly for hours to find me tickets on the day I wanted, which was today! She not only was able to find me tickets but I did not have to pay any additional charges because she found seats in the same section for the same price for me! Its rare to find companies that will bend over backwards for you these days, even going against "procedure" to make sure that the customer is happy. I'll definitely go out of my way to buy tickets from Spectator Tickets next time I need tickets. I highly recommend that you do too. And their prices were way below face value!

I went on the Percy Jackson & The Olympians panel. Truthfully, I only went to this panel so that I can get average seating to the Fluffy & Jokoy panel afterwards. During the Percy panel, we were able to see the trailer for the upcoming season coming out in December. It looked pretty interesting & I may check out Season 1! Fluffy & Jokoy were funny as usual. They did highlight their collab show next year in the SoFi stadium. All the guests who attended scored free Jokoy & Fluffy merch! Total score! Now I have to say that going to the panels was a pain since you have to go outside the convention center to enter back in again through some winding lines before you enter the event area. Then obtaining the merch was a long trek to The Hilton, good thing it wasn't too hot that day! Since I was already there, obtaining my merch, I did donate some blood and got some more free merch & snacks. Needless to say, more than half my day consisted of free merch! Not bad! Since I went on Thursday, I did walk around and bought some signed merch from voice actor Bryce Papenbrook, who was super nice! I also saw the Lego SD Comic Convention Center which was insane! I loved the outside and the inside of this setup. It was noticeably not as crowded this year as opposed to previous years. I did enjoy the cosplay but sadly didn't have enough time to partake in the outside con events this year. Will definitely be back again!

I have not received a refund, not so much as even a voucher/discount to attend an upcoming event. Very disgusted. Health and safety issues should be taken seriously and not shoved to the side for a money grab. Last year half a dozen people posted that got covid from attending Comic con in San Diego. Let's give serious issues the proper weight & consideration they deserve. And let's not steal from people who do the right thing. Terrible!

"Broadway San Diego 2016-2017 Preview Presentation & VIP Party was Fantastic ! "…read more My wife and I were invited to the 2016-2017 Broadway San Diego Preview Presentation and VIP Party a week ago at the Balboa Theatre in San Diego, and we had a great time !. My wife and I have been President Club season ticket holders at Broadway San Diego for several years. Every year Broadway San Diego has a special invitation only Preview Presentation and VIP party for President Club members. The purpose of the event is to view the entire up coming and new play schedule for the next Broadway San Diego Season. The presentation was hosted by Barbara Lee Edwards from KFMB Channel 8 news. After watching a short preview of which plays that were going to be featured for 2016-2017 season, we listened to live performances by singers from the Sound of Music, and the Lion King. Lead singer Tshidi Manye came all the way from New York City, just to sing the famous "Circle of Life" song to us. Tshidi's performance was breath taking ! After previewing the 2016-2017 season, the VIP Presidents Club members were invited up on stage for a very special party. The party included wine, champagne bars, and a magnificent collection of decadent finger foods, which were prepared by St. Tropez Bakery & Bistro. Everything was delicious ! Sarah Jordan the Senior President's Club Representative who my wife and I deal with the most, is Awesome ! Sarah is so professional and precise, as she has handled all of our wants, needs, and requests perfectly over the years. Sarah also played a large roll in the success of this event. Vanessa Davis, Sarah Jordan's boss, and who is Broadway San Diego's Groups, Patron Sales, & President's Club Manager, did a wonderful job organizing, and preparing everything for this Broadway Presentation and VIP Party. Broadway San Diego Vice President Joe Kobryner started the VIP Party off, by introducing all important sponsors and guests to the VIP Party members. Towards the end of the VIP Party, the director of Marketing and Business Development Carl Thompson, raffled off several very nice prizes for all guests in attendance. This night at the Balboa Theatre was Informative, Fun, Fantastic, and was nicely organized and executed by all Broadway San Diego employees. Great Job ! The Nederlander Group would be very proud of you !

GA can also stand on the balcony but we preferred staying on the same level. ushers / security were helpful abt telling us where we could go, but also diligent abt asking ppl to move if they were obstructive. backstage staff were also quick to mop up the stage floor upon artist's request. our main complaint was how hot it got, again even tho we were far back & not even in the crowd; even the artist made note of it. $20 parking wasn't ideal either but we've also seen worse

She made sure not to select obstructed view seats. The seats were the back row of the balcony. We could not see the left half of the stage and could barely see the heads of the center performers. When the people in front stood up we couldn't see a thing. If you select balcony make sure it's the front row. You'll be able to see everything. The sound wasn't great. There were several songs either a buzzing like a cord was bad. It continued through the whole song. They do not provide kids for their drinks at the bar which is weird because I thought it was a California law. Maybe it's not in effect yet. But it does explain why the floors were sticky. Parking was crazy. $20 with no option to park elsewhere. And no direction when you were leaving. A little chaotic. Probably wouldn't go here again unless I got front row balcony and I really wanted to see the artist.
