Yeah, yeah... I know. Ticket scalpers are whack, but sometimes when you REALLY want to see a show, a sporting event, or a theater production... a professional ticket scalper is your only safe option. The argument can be made that ticket scalpers are the reason a lot of hot shows sell out in San Diego, but since there's no law against swooping up enough tickets to spiff out an entire African village, there's not much we can do if we wait too long to buy our way into a concert. Flight of the Conchords, for example: I waited two days to buy my tickets after they went on sale... and guess what? Sold cleeeeeaaaaaaaan out. Damn! Now I have a few options: 1. Creepy Craigslist encounter where you're essentially gambling on the fact that the person you're buying your ticket from is honest (and won't kill you in a Rite Aid parking lot). 2. EBAY... I always suck at buying stuff on there. Always outbid right at the last second. 3. Stub Hub... a great alternative, but a high mark up on tickets and service fees. 4. Local ticket scalper. This time around, I went for option 4. If I'm gonna be throwing down a few ducks on concert tickets, I might as well spend it in town to help boost our local economy, right? OG tickets to the Flight of the Conchords show were going for $50 ($35 base, $10 'convenience charges,' and taxes). Because the show is tonight, Atlas had a special ticket price of $60/ticket. Not half bad, considering most of the tickets floating around the internet are going for anywhere between $85 and $100 each. These guys are pros and they've been selling tickets locally for 20 years. They won't burn you (as it's their livelihood at stake), so even though it puts you in a strange moral dilemma, it's worth the peace of mind to buy from a legitimate source. If you're reading this review and you're teetering on buying tickets of your own... DO IT!

Beautiful stadium.

It's been a while since I watch a movie in the cinema. It feels like a lifetime ago that I would…read morepay money to sit in the dark on a very straight-backed (yes, the chairs are very upright. This AMC does not have the inclining seats) chairs, surrounded by strangers to enjoy an uninterrupted movie for about 2 hours. I liked it, even though the person next to me was kind of a mess; he had a bunch of dirty napkins stuffed in the cupholder that was meant for me at the start -- which he kindly removed (but missed one). In any case, still an enjoyable experience.

You've got to be kidding me…read more We showed up early for our movie, and nothing happened. No previews, no ads, no movie... just a dark screen and a theater full of people sitting in silence wondering what was going on. After waiting, I called the front desk and was told they were "trying" to fix it. No apology, no updates, no offer of a refund or any compensation for everyone's wasted time. What makes this even more frustrating is that management apparently already knew the projector was having issues, yet customers were still being seated without any warning or communication. I usually arrive early because I actually enjoy watching the previews and ads before the movie, but instead we spent that time waiting with no information and no customer service. Technical problems happen. Ignoring your customers and failing to communicate is the real issue. Very disappointing experience.

Wow....very impressed…read more Shopping around for last minute Monday Night Football tickets, I found their listing on Ebay and called their 1-800-295-0053 number. Spoke with Greg and he actually gave me a better price over the phone and offered next day delivery from San Diego to Los Angeles. Plus, he gave me the option to park my car at their hotel location and take the trolley instead of dealing with traffic and parking at Qualcomm...talk about looking out for a DIE HARD CHARGER FAN on a budget!! Thanks again, Greg....looking forward to my first Monday Night Football Game in San Diego to watch my BOLTS versus the COLTS....GO CHARGERS, BABY!!!!

I purchased Padres tickets through a 3rd party vendor that ended up being from Spectator Tickets. The vendor messed up my order and I unwittingly purchased tickets for the wrong day. I immediately called and was put in touch with Julia at Spectator Tickets. All sales were supposed to be final, but she empathized with my situation and worked tirelessly for hours to find me tickets on the day I wanted, which was today! She not only was able to find me tickets but I did not have to pay any additional charges because she found seats in the same section for the same price for me! Its rare to find companies that will bend over backwards for you these days, even going against "procedure" to make sure that the customer is happy. I'll definitely go out of my way to buy tickets from Spectator Tickets next time I need tickets. I highly recommend that you do too. And their prices were way below face value!

The bands (FLAT OUT, Buffalo Farm, and TX2) were AMAZING and we got to meet all of them. Super kind people. The venue itself was super cool. It kind of reminds me of the voodoo room at house of blues but a bit bigger. The only down side was I almost passed. But whatever. Awesome place to see a show.

Not my favorite venue in SD. We prefer to go to other places, if it can be helped…read more Let's start with the good. The employees have been very nice, which helps when you're trying to navigate shows as ADA. You email to let them know you're coming to a specific show. And sound is decent, but definitely bring ear protection if you're going to be up front near the stacks. We go to a lot of punk, metal, hardcore, etc and that gets LOUD. Concessions isn't too bad. The snack bar only takes cash for sodas, candy, etc. But you can use a card for alcohol at the bars. Go figure. And now the not so good. First of all, a weird layout, because it used to be a small movie theater in the old days (hence the exit stairs and pairs of windows super high up along the wall, lol). This makes for some strange pockets where getting out of the up-front area becomes almost impossible for a sold-out show. A not so comfortable seating option for ADA. Small folding stools aren't comfortable for more than a short period of time. (I know someone that's an ADA consultant for venues and festivals, and he would love to work with you guys, just saying....) The womens bathroom is always horrible. Two of the stalls always seem to be flooded, and I feel like the first stall hasn't locked in years. Seriously, it needs a lot of help. Don't park in the handicap parking places, because you will never be able to get out when everyone is leaving. And if there's police activity or tons of rideshare, they'll block you in. The parking lot definitely is super torn up and needs to be repaved, but I'm not counting that against them because it's not up to them. So do we come here? Yes. Are we excited to? No.
