My friends and I came here to watch one of the FIFA games. Sadly, our US team lost to Belgium, but we had a nice time at he start of the game. We liked how the venue had lots of TV screens at different games. We snatched a table across from the bar and had a great view of the TVs. For bar food, I have to admit it was pretty good! This is a go to spot for upscale sports environment. It's the only sports bar in the area, and you're going to be happy that it's the only one. The space is pretty massive, both in and outdoor seating for the lovely days. There's several TVs so you don't have to sacrifice missing the action wherever you're sitting. Lorraine helped me out at the bar and she's a super sweet chick. Lovely human that had some amazing things to say about the owners and this location. Sahil is the friendliest bartender I have ever had here and honestly will continue to come here because of him! I have enjoyed coming to this spot to watch a game or just enjoy happy hour on the patio since our pup can sit out there with us but Sahil really made sure to check in on us and recommend different appetizers and drinks. They have a good variety of food here but the menu is on the smaller side. I do wish some of the happy hour food items were on the main menu as well because we enjoy them a lot but we continue to come back here frequently even to just grab a drink after shopping at Trader Joes. read more

They stayed on top of everything with refills, good pacing of taking drink/appetizer/entree orders, and serving the different courses. We were sitting inside because of the rain, but it was still a nice atmosphere. Everything was clean and it was a modern, bright setup. I really liked their hand soap in the bathroom - Lemon Verbena scent! In terms of food, the star of the show was the BBQ Short Rib Mac & Cheese. I ordered it as an appetizer for the table and it was LOVED! I had the chicken pot pie - delicious, though the texture and consistency wasn't exactly what I expected. It was a bit denser with more shredded chicken than chunks of chicken. The flaky crust was buttery and amazingly tasty. One of my colleagues got the salmon and enjoyed it. Attentive refilling coffee and water. Ordered from the brunch menu: pan social breakfast burrito (short rib, eggs, applewood bacon, French fries, chipotle sauce, pico de gallo and smashed Ava avacado). I appreciate the menu is labeled with allergens and vegetarian options. The spinach artichoke dish was creamy with a strong delicious garlic flavor. I was hoping for a better experience at Pacific Social than I had. We arrived early afternoon and there were only a few patrons dining. We got a table and ask to see the regular menu in addition to the brunch menu, but the regular menu never arrived. I ordered the Caesar salad with the grilled chicken and my friend ordered the Cesar salad with the blackened salmon. Both items were on the low $20's each. I find the service to be interesting because after waiting for 25 minute for two salad with the place about 20% full, the served brought the salads out to the table and asked if we needed anything else. I sat their looking for a bit to see if he would notice, but I felt he did not, so I politely asked if he could be so kind to bring as a plate setting and some utensil to eat the salads with. That definitely sparked an oh "$@^#" on the look on his face. The salads were okay. My grilled chicken however was very dry and had to be chewed and swallowed. It was for sure precooked and then placed on the grill to reheat. I should have asked for a re fire, but since we were running late and it took so long to bring the first order out, I decided to pass and eat what was plated. The salad itself was good, but the dressing that I asked on the side was way too thick for a Caesar dressing. My friend stated his salmon was a little done but good and seasoned well. He's a chef and did state that the salmon was served on the wrong side or upside down. The place offers a lot of seating. It definitely had that bar and grill appeal with all the large flat screens about. The service I thought was lackluster and very, how would I say, careless to be honest. I expected better from a Cohn Restaurant Group eater. Oh yes, they still charge that 5% service charge. I don't like that. read more

Soooo I needed to believe the yelp elites when they talked about this spot. First I didn't see the apparent sign for a 5% supplemental charge and I asked for them to take it off. The service was ok and the food was lackluster. I got the grilled strawberry and chicken and I can say that the chicken was rubbery and tough overall salad was plentiful but the taste of the warm chicken and the cold salad just was not a great mix. I would also say my coworkers got their food and it was like every other review where it was just OK. This fun food spot is in Carmel Valley. It is currently listed on SD's Restaurant Week so my Hubs and I wanted to check it out. We both ended up getting items on their Happy Hour Menu and Regular Menu. I got a Lemon Drop Martini which was tasty. We tried the Beer Cheese Bacon Fries and Smoked Wings. Both were yummy. Just be prepared to messy fingers with the wings. Then I got the BBQ Short Rib Mac n Cheese with a Caesar Salad. Delicious! My Husband got the Pac Social Burger. Made our way to Pacific Social yesterday for a late lunch. Started off by sitting at the bar. Ian was completely engaging and made both esthetic and delicious cocktails. The $7 retro martini menu is unmatched!!! I typically steer FAR away from "well" cocktails, but Ian educated me on Cutwater (Vodka) and I gave it a whirl. Needless to say, I was completely impressed! We moved to a table in the sunshine for our meal. Our server, Anthony, recommended the chicken wings and artichoke dip for appetizers. Not sure what magic is happening in the kitchen with the wings, but the were so good, that we brought two orders home, so the kids could try them. Since Anthony hit it out of the park with app recommendations, we asked him for his top picks on entrees: Hot chicken sandwich, Philly Cheesesteak, Salmon, and the steak Cobb salad. What do you order when you can't decide?? Yep...just order all of it! I cannot believe we were able to get seated without a reservation...the team at Pacific Social is killing it! I gave this place a second chance after having a terrible experience the first time. There won't be a third. Food was mediocre at best. Food is way overpriced for what it is. Beer was sour, as if lines don't get cleaned. Then had an issue with cocktails and bartender was beyond rude. Now I know why we had no problems getting a table on Friday night and the restaurant/ bar were only at 50% capacity. Ok so check this out. I am a foodie. I love to eat and drink on what's poppin on tap. When you walk in, you are hit with a feel like no other. TV screens, active games on the tvs. Arcade room upstairs for those kids that can't sit still. The beer menu is pretty decent. Although I don't really drink anything under 7.5%abv, the 12% abv stout was delicious. It was like drinking a dark banana crème pudding. However, that was the flavor. It was the strongest beer they had and I loved it. I chose the burger. Why? Because I'm a burger man. Side options? I chose the salad. Not because I need to watch my dad bod figure, but I already got the bacon bit cheesy fries. I didnt want to raise my cholesterol with all those carbs. But in my line of work, I need it. Wife got the cheesy Mac short rib and it was so THICK, i was mad that it was better than what I make at home. This was absolutely fulfilling. I left the restaurant in a slight comatosis from food. I looked like the pillsbury doughboy walking outside woddling like a penguin. Then got annoyed when my wife wanted a picture outside in front of the restaurant lookin goofy like a pair of tourists from Texas. But I couldn't help myself. More like half size appetizers. $7 house craft beers is a good-not-great happy hour price. Warm, fresh pretzel sticks are tasty and disclosed at 2 for $7. Ok great for sports fans but I prefer a vibe like Richard walkers or breakfast republic. Don't get me wrong, I love hard liquor and cocktails but it really smelled like tequila here. Service was very good and it wasn't busy on a Sunday morning at 11am. I ordered chicken and waffle and the salmon Benedict. Chicken and waffle 8/10 nothing special but just good. The glass door outside is super big and heavy and I can't open it. One staff member was at the counter facing the door the whole time I was waiting to be let in and didn't do anything. Another walked right by the door again nothing. It took me giving my mom a phone call for her to come let me in. Ironic considering there's a handicap sticker right next to the front door and a sign that says they'll accommodate disabilities. Rude, the ADA would frown upon this terrible service. read more

We visited for brunch on a Saturday, and while the restaurant wasn't busy, the service was surprisingly slow. Our server seemed either very new or just having an off day, which set the tone for a less-than-ideal experience. I requested a lunch menu that never arrived, so I had to look it up online instead. The food was brought out at random times, and at one point, our server asked if everything had arrived--even though only one dish was at the table. It gave us a good laugh, but it was definitely frustrating. As for the food, it was average. The chilaquiles lacked flavor, the croissant sandwich was decent but came with soggy bacon and fruit that wasn't very fresh, and the breakfast burrito was probably the best of the bunch, especially with the tasty salsa. However, the coffee was a definite miss. The ambiance was just okay, and overall, for the price and service, I felt like I could have made a better meal at home. Came here to watch the Euro Cup (Spain vs. England) with my family. We opted to sit outside. My first thought to this place was that it had a really fun vibe. The decor is fun, bright, and cute. In addition to it being really nice, the food was good too, which is a WIN because I know we're all sick of getting catfished by places that look nice, but the food is mid. What I got: Rose slushy: perfect sweetness, even when it melted, it was still really good. Breakfast burger: this was a really good burger. The meat was seasoned well, the egg pop was satisfying. Overall, a solid burger. The fries were also seasoned, crispy, and satisfying. I believe that on the menu, the breakfast burger usually comes with breakfast potatoes, but they allowed me to sub for fries. Chocolate espresso pie: decadent, not too sweet, and definitely hit the spot! The service here was also impeccable! They didn't mind that we were there a little before the game and stayed for the duration of the game. They actually stayed bringing us water, and whatever else we needed. Shout out to Julie! Disclaimer, if there was a line of people waiting, we would not have stayed at our table for the duration of the game. lol. Also, I saw someone complain about the noise level lol. If you're looking for a more calm or quiet environment, this spot might not be it, as it's giving a place you go to meet up with friends/family and socialize and have a good time. I hear eating at home allows you to control the tv and music. I'm sure Pacific Social has a to-go option. There's a mini little game room in the "attic" by the bathrooms. Beware and review your receipt. We did the happy hour Burger which includes the wine or a beer. When they brought the bill they charged me extra for the wine when I brought it to their attention they did remove it but that is a tricky way of doing things I almost didn't catch it. Secondly the suggested tip percentages of 18%, 20% etc are not the actual percentages They say right on the check that tip is based off the total before taxes. However the suggested tip amounts are well above the actual percentages that you would leave. Meaning 18% tip that they suggested was about $2 more than actually 18% would have been on the check. They also charge a service fee that they don't tell you about on the bill so all in all I felt like they were trying to take one over on me. When I brought it to the manager's attention about the tip percentages not be an accurate, she shrugged her shoulders and didn't seem to care. read more
