Pacific social is nestled in a seemingly boring complex, but when you enter it feels like you are in a high class restaurant. The decor and ambiance is super fun! Everyone I interacted with was super helpful (especially Adam at the host stand). There's lots of space for big groups, they offer a great happy hour...and PIE! All kinds of pie! Highly recommend checking out

First time here and will definitely be back. Came here on mothers day and it seems a bit slow. Only dish I didnt like and wouldnt recommend is the Philly cheesesteak it was a bit on the saltier side everything else was delicious

Trendy sports bar environment at Pacific Social is a great place to hangout for happy hour or enjoy a meal. The food is overall very good and the service is friendly. I appreciate the menu is labeled with allergens and vegetarian options. The spinach artichoke dish was creamy with a strong delicious garlic flavor. A little disappointed the gluten free substitute traded the tortilla chips with celery since tortilla chips are almost always gluten free. The chicken strawberry salad was a generous portion sized and quite tasty.

I am shocked I have not written a review here before because it has slowly turned into a spot that we love to go to and grab a seat at the bar for drinks and appetizers. We came awhile back and actually watched some football and they had a great football menu with food and drink specials. We got one of the nachos on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed them and was the perfect amount for 2 people. I love the shopping center this is in because the parking is easy and there is so much around with a very family friendly atmosphere. There is tons of outdoor seating as well which we will be taking advantage of to bring our puppy with us places!

I was hoping for a better experience at Pacific Social than I had. We arrived early afternoon and there were only a few patrons dining. We got a table and ask to see the regular menu in addition to the brunch menu, but the regular menu never arrived. I ordered the Caesar salad with the grilled chicken and my friend ordered the Cesar salad with the blackened salmon. Both items were on the low $20's each. I find the service to be interesting because after waiting for 25 minute for two salad with the place about 20% full, the served brought the salads out to the table and asked if we needed anything else. I sat their looking for a bit to see if he would notice, but I felt he did not, so I politely asked if he could be so kind to bring as a plate setting and some utensil to eat the salads with. That definitely sparked an oh "$@^#" on the look on his face. The salads were okay. My grilled chicken however was very dry and had to be chewed and swallowed. It was for sure precooked and then placed on the grill to reheat. I should have asked for a re fire, but since we were running late and it took so long to bring the first order out, I decided to pass and eat what was plated. The salad itself was good, but the dressing that I asked on the side was way too thick for a Caesar dressing. My friend stated his salmon was a little done but good and seasoned well. He's a chef and did state that the salmon was served on the wrong side or upside down. The place offers a lot of seating. It definitely had that bar and grill appeal with all the large flat screens about. The service I thought was lackluster and very, how would I say, careless to be honest. I expected better from a Cohn Restaurant Group eater. Oh yes, they still charge that 5% service charge. I don't like that.

This fun food spot is in Carmel Valley. It is currently listed on SD's Restaurant Week so my Hubs and I wanted to check it out. We both ended up getting items on their Happy Hour Menu and Regular Menu. I got a Lemon Drop Martini which was tasty. We tried the Beer Cheese Bacon Fries and Smoked Wings. Both were yummy. Just be prepared to messy fingers with the wings. Then I got the BBQ Short Rib Mac n Cheese with a Caesar Salad. Delicious! My Husband got the Pac Social Burger. Finishing the night with a Banana Pie in a Cup which I devoured! Our Server was awesome and knowledgeable. This place has a cool little arcade area upstairs and it is decorated to take tons of photos throughout the restaurant.

Soooo I needed to believe the yelp elites when they talked about this spot. First I didn't see the apparent sign for a 5% supplemental charge and I asked for them to take it off. The service was ok and the food was lackluster. I got the grilled strawberry and chicken and I can say that the chicken was rubbery and tough overall salad was plentiful but the taste of the warm chicken and the cold salad just was not a great mix. I would also say my coworkers got their food and it was like every other review where it was just OK. I do think the happy hour selection is a positive overall the prices are pretty high for quality of food and overall service that you get That being said I can see they are charging more to accommodate the price of its location and I'm sure as you can see the business was not as busy during a lunchtime It is hard to compete when you have Mexican restaurant next-door selling $1.36 fish tacos

Made our way to Pacific Social yesterday for a late lunch. Started off by sitting at the bar. Ian was completely engaging and made both esthetic and delicious cocktails. The $7 retro martini menu is unmatched!!! I typically steer FAR away from "well" cocktails, but Ian educated me on Cutwater (Vodka) and I gave it a whirl. Needless to say, I was completely impressed! We moved to a table in the sunshine for our meal. Our server, Anthony, recommended the chicken wings and artichoke dip for appetizers. Not sure what magic is happening in the kitchen with the wings, but the were so good, that we brought two orders home, so the kids could try them. Since Anthony hit it out of the park with app recommendations, we asked him for his top picks on entrees: Hot chicken sandwich, Philly Cheesesteak, Salmon, and the steak Cobb salad. What do you order when you can't decide?? Yep...just order all of it! I cannot believe we were able to get seated without a reservation...the team at Pacific Social is killing it! Lorraine and Sadie both checked on us to ensure that our visit was perfect. I love seeing managers on the floor, keeping a pulse on their guests. Ian and Anthony-thank you for making our afternoon!! The service was top notch, food incredible, vibes immaculate! This would absolutely be my "Cheers" spot, if it was closer to home. Please bring Pacific Social to the South Bay!!

We have been here for brunch in the past, mainly for their bottomless mimosas! We just recently discovered their happy hour - which is everyday! Today we ordered the $20 burger combo on the happy hour menu. This comes with a glass of wine or a pint of beer. Can't beat that price anywhere! Happy hour is Monday-Friday open until 5:30. Saturday-Sunday 2-5:30. Bon appetite!

So this was an interesting experience. The food was pretty good and prices are pretty reasonable. We enjoyed the flatbread and they have great beer! What we didn't like was how things smelled like spilled beer everywhere. I won't decrease my rating in this, but mgmt needs to address this.

I came to get brunch with my mom on a Sunday afternoon, it was Avery's and and welcoming restaurant. It's a definitely a fun spot to eat lunch or brunch at. They had a variety of drinks, food and sides. The prices are reasonable and I would recommend! The parking is a bit hard but they do have a parking structure close by. The food tasted amazing and the waiter was friendly.

Ok so check this out. I am a foodie. I love to eat and drink on what's poppin on tap. When you walk in, you are hit with a feel like no other. TV screens, active games on the tvs. Arcade room upstairs for those kids that can't sit still. The beer menu is pretty decent. Although I don't really drink anything under 7.5%abv, the 12% abv stout was delicious. It was like drinking a dark banana crème pudding. However, that was the flavor. It was the strongest beer they had and I loved it. I chose the burger. Why? Because I'm a burger man. Side options? I chose the salad. Not because I need to watch my dad bod figure, but I already got the bacon bit cheesy fries. I didnt want to raise my cholesterol with all those carbs. But in my line of work, I need it. Wife got the cheesy Mac short rib and it was so THICK, i was mad that it was better than what I make at home. This was absolutely fulfilling. I left the restaurant in a slight comatosis from food. I looked like the pillsbury doughboy walking outside woddling like a penguin. Then got annoyed when my wife wanted a picture outside in front of the restaurant lookin goofy like a pair of tourists from Texas. But I couldn't help myself. I am a glutton for good food and good beer. This is a nice spot to go right after work, no wait time, instant sitting, instant service, food and drink came out quick as if Usain Bolt was working in the kitchen. Highly recommend if you are a first timer looking for a nice vibe

    LMAO

Food is ok, just standard American food. Not bad but not amazing either. I don't write bad reviews normally but currently am on crutches and obviously have a harder time getting around. The glass door outside is super big and heavy and I can't open it. One staff member was at the counter facing the door the whole time I was waiting to be let in and didn't do anything. Another walked right by the door again nothing. It took me giving my mom a phone call for her to come let me in. Ironic considering there's a handicap sticker right next to the front door and a sign that says they'll accommodate disabilities. Rude, the ADA would frown upon this terrible service.

Once seated, though, we sat for about 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. I eventually had to flag someone down just to get water. We then waited even longer for our server to take our order. Because service was so slow, I ordered all of our drinks and food at once since I wasn't sure when we'd see our server again. What stood out even more was watching a couple seated next to us receive immediate attention. They were greeted, served water right away, and the woman was offered a purse hook. Meanwhile, we were sitting there with our purses shoved beside us and weren't offered the same courtesy. It may seem like a small detail, but combined with the lack of attention, it made us feel overlooked. The drinks came out quickly, and the chicken satay and mac and cheese were decent. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out food-wise either. The highlight of the evening was definitely the live music. The performers were fantastic and created a great atmosphere that honestly was the only enjoyable part of the evening.

Probably the WORST customer service I've experienced in all of San Diego. We walked up to ask how…read morelong the wait was, the hostess on the outside said it was 25 minutes, not a problem. We put down our name and number after receiving the confirmation text, we decided to walk the market the next street over, that took 20 minutes. We came back and waited and saw other people walk up and be sat to a table instantly. We then asked how much longer it would be we were told 5 minutes. We waited, not a problem. We saw at least 5 more parties walk up and be sat down instantly (we were a party of 3 btw). We asked the hostess yet again, when will we be sat down, at this point we've been waiting for an hour we saw a table be cleaned and yet again another walk up was sat down instantly, that was a party of 4. We asked what the hold up was, one hostess said we can be seated now, we walk in and then she stopped us then asked would we like to be sat outside, we said doesn't matter at this point, she jetted outside and left us just standing there on the inside. I asked her what's going on are we being sat down? She said no wait 5 minutes for a table. At this point we're getting frustrated because why is the organization at this point TERRIBLE, but a walk up is not an issue. I then tell the hostess we've been waiting over an hour and you mean to tell me every walk up gets sat down instantly but not the people who have been waiting on the list, she answers me by saying "yes". After a table is cleared on the inside a hostess tells us to follow her to a table, she then asks how many is in my party when she was the main one who checked us in and saw us waiting the whole time. After all that time, our waiter was running behind so his manager took our order and kept apologizing to us. When we finally get our orders, the food was equivalent as to going into IHOP or Dennys. Nothing stood out, flavor was lacking. At this point we were better off going to Broken Yolk across the street. Customer service and the waitlist system seriously needs major improvement here. Simple manners and accountability lack here as well when it comes to making mistakes. Only thing I liked was my chai latte. Most likely will not come back here.

Came here for Mother's Day brunch and, predictably, the place was absolutely buzzing with families!…read moreEven with the holiday crowd, the vibe was great and the energy was high. You can't come to Richard Walker's and not get the Dutch pancake. We went with the Apple Pancake (the fan favorite for a reason) and it was honestly out of this world. It's got that perfect contrast with super fluffy in the middle but with those amazing crispy edges. We also tried the Belgian waffle, which was exactly how it should be: crunchy on the outside and delicious throughout. What really blew me away, though, was the service. Despite it being one of the busiest days of the year, the staff was absolutely superb fast, friendly, and totally on top of it. If you're in Downtown San Diego, this is a must-visit for a solid, convenient breakfast. Highly recommend!

Outside of the peanut oil surprising us, everyone's food was phenomenal! The service was great and we even got to meet Richard himself and he was very sweet. We ordered the thin Swedish pancakes which were yummy especially with the lingonberries! We also got the German Baked Pancake which took ~20 minutes as it said in the menu, so all of the food took that time as well. We got the GF/peanut oil free pancakes and they were still good. The inside was beautiful with the stained glass look and there was tons of outside seating as well. We walked right up on a Thursday morning around 9 AM and got seated instantly.

I recently took a trip out to San Diego for an appointment and stopped by Breakfast Republic; and…read morewow, everything was absolutely delicious! The interior is super organized, and I loved that they have a full bar area as well. We started with some mimosas, which were fantastic and the perfect kickoff to breakfast. For food, I ordered the Vegan Tres Leches Pancakes, and they were incredible. They were so naturally flavorful and moist that they barely even needed any maple syrup; the combination of the pistachio brittle and vegan buttercream on top was perfect on its own. My friend ordered the Shrimp and Crab Cake Benedict and loved it. He said it was packed with flavor, not dry at all, and didn't taste overly fishy; just perfect in every way. To top it all off, our server was so sweet, checked on us often, and was incredibly proactive throughout our meal. Great food, great drinks, and excellent service. I will definitely recommend to vegans and non vegans. Just to clarify for anyone looking to visit; Breakfast Republic isn't a fully vegan restaurant, but they do have a fair amount of great vegan options clearly marked on the menu.

The atmosphere didn't feel kid-friendly at all--loud, crowded, and not really accommodating if you have children with you. On top of that, the food didn't match the hype. It looked good but the quality just wasn't there, especially for the price. What really stood out to me though was the dynamic in the restaurant. The entire dining area was filled almost exclusively with white customers, while the visible staff roles felt very segmented in a way that didn't sit right. Here's the puzzle: look around the room, look at who is being seen, look at who is serving, look at who is clearing... and then ask yourself why the only person worth looking at wasn't even part of the experience they're trying to sell. Between the atmosphere, the food quality, and that underlying vibe, it's not somewhere I'd go back to.
