Located in a pleasant sidewalk-lined row of shops, Aubrey Rose is a hidden gem of a quaint, distinctively feminine and vintage-style tea parlour that offers a charming and cozy British afternoon tea experience. As guests enter the venue, they can feel like they are stepping back in time, being transported by elegant, traditional and vintage English charm. The ornate space is romantic floral themed and antiques-filled with tea-related gifts and Victorian décor that fill up the shelves which create intimate table spaces set with delicate fine bone china. At Aubrey Rose, the cherished ritual of afternoon tea is elevated to an upscale affair. I like to opt for the Queen Victoria Tea which includes a Seasonal Soup Course with Accompanying Savoury, a three-tiered tray, organized by savoury and sweet (Bottom Tier: Assorted Finger Sandwiches and Savouries, Middle Tier: fresh Seasonal Fruit, and Top Tier: an assortment of Petite Treats and Sweets), Dessert Scone and accompaniments served as the last course, and Unlimited Premium Loose Leaf Tea. I highly recommend the chilled cantaloupe soup which is beautifully presented and deliciously refreshing. The house made tidbits and sweets are also delightful. Service is welcomely warm, friendly and attentive. The Aubrey Rose Tea Room experience heightens a simple pause for a beverage, blending comfort with a touch of elegance, into a moment to slow down and appreciate the finer things in life...with your pinky up.

I thought the food was delicious. It started with some fresh fruit and then we had our choice of broccoli cheese or tomato basil soup. A few girls in our group got each and both were enjoyed very much. The pastry tower was really lovely. Standouts for me were the egg salad sandwich, shepherds pie and chocolate mousse. We tried a few of the teas, everyone loved the Buccaneer Black Tea and the Peaches & Roses. The women who owned the business were so nice and we had fun looking around the little shop afterward. We would definitely return to this business.

I can't say I had the interest in going, however that changed and my curiosity about what a High Tea was, and the crowds here at "Tea Time" left me wanting to try it out. This was not just Tea, this was a bounty of tea, they had so many different types and flavors of tea (40+) that you sort of want to try them all, while technically you can as the tea is unlimited, but trust me you won't as the two pots of tea you start with, is a lot of tea for two! Sure, in a larger group you can try a lot more, but it's still a lot of tea. The Grand Tea, High Tea option was what we went with, and you started with a soup, followed by a tiered selection of sandwiches, desserts and scones. I assumed that I would have a snack here and then get something else to actually eat but I was filled to the brim when I left here. This place was full to capacity when we went, but you did not feel encroached on, the owner Louisa, the servers, all amazing, welcoming and nice. I feel like I was a bit unprepared as everyone else was dressed up with little hats, and my wife and I had no little hats! Next time, I will 100% at least sport that little hat, and there will be a next time, absolutely great experience!

There were 5 kids total, the youngest being 5 and the oldest being 11. All 5 of the kids thoroughly enjoyed this experience! The pirate map activity and the introduction were both great. I loved the enthusiasm of the owner, and appreciated that she really leaned into the fact that there were so many kids (the other party had two kids as well) and made adjustments to the intro and quiz questions for them. I wasn't sure whether to expect a fancy teahouse to cringe at the sight of so many kids around China, glasses, and hot teapots- But they seemed totally unbothered, and were very welcoming! The staff at Britannia has always been top notch and this was no different! It really was a fun tea and a fun way to share my love for tea with my kiddos! Parents, you know your kids! Your kiddo may be a bit too young/rambunctious for a teahouse, and that's OKAY. But if you think they'll get along well, it's a wonderful time with amazing staff to make the experience lovely! The teahouse itself is lovely, the decor is beautiful. Don't forget to check out the giftshop, there are so many things to see! The coconut cacao is my favorite, do try it! The savories and sweets are always delicious and you leave here feeling satisfied and happy.

I would absolutely recommend Claudia's for an intimate special event or just to have tea time with the girls! It was a beautiful event and we all had such a fun time!

We did the afternoon tea, including one vegan and one vegetarian option, and everything was amazing. The tea was honestly some of the best we've ever had, and the food was just as delicious. They even planned out the color of the china that was used to match our birthday girl. They made our birthday girl feel so special by bringing out a cupcake with a candle so we could sing happy birthday. They also let her pick out a pair of earrings as a birthday gift, which was such a sweet touch. One of my favorite parts was hearing about the history of the house and the spirit that's said to haunt it. The ladies who work there shared some fun stories, which made the experience even more memorable. If you're into haunted history or the supernatural, you'll love it. The only thing to know is that it's a very quiet atmosphere, so just be prepared to keep your voices down. Parking is easy, however you will be walking up cobblestone to reach the house. One of my friends who lives in the area had been here before and had suggested it for the outing. Located in an almost hidden little shopping center in the middle of a suburban neighborhood, it had gorgeous decor, especially all decked out for the holidays. We were seated at one of the outdoor patio tables, which was very pleasant on a beautiful warm day. We all had their special Christmas high tea, which came with a generous array of food that went above and beyond a normal tea service. There was a starter soup course (roasted winter vegetable soup, very delicious), then we got a massive tower with 5 different savory items, scones, and 6 different desserts. Needlessly to say, we were beyond stuffed by the end, even after opting to take most of the desserts to go. The tea selection was very nice as well--I just opted for the English Breakfast, in keeping with my preference for picking the most coffee-like tea. Our server did an amazing job, even though it seemed like she was the only one serving the entire packed place! My friends and I had a wonderful time, and I'd love to come back again.
