ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE SERVICE nicest lady I've ever met. went there at around 5:30 on February 10th and the service was the best I've had from anywhere. She was helpful, showed us her dog, let us play fetch with her dog Cinnamon, showed us items including swords and explained them. I believe her name was Debrah (may be spelled differently). I was completely satisfied with my experience there and I would recommend to anyone that they should visit. This is also just a cool store with many trinkets and things to buy. While visiting from 3 hours away, I purchased a sweat jacket that I needed to return to get a different size. I called, and said the jacket had not been worn, and I have the receipt and asked if they would exchange it for one size larger. They declined saying it was against store policy. THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. There are plenty of stores in that area, I would recommend visiting anyone else besides "As seen on TV", and what an assine name anyway. Talked girl down on a hundred dollar military statue. Was a hundred said she would do 85 then taxed the 85. Place is a scam wish I could 0 stars or negative stars. Not to mention I didnt notice statue was previously dropped and glued back again. I'm sure they knew cuz a big sign said dont grab statues. Should be renamed to garbage u wont see on t.v.. I'm a military veteran seen the statue knew if I didnt get it I would regret it. But they should of priced dropped and disclosed it instead of trying to rip people off. This is, just like it says on the name, a store what mostly has the kind of stuff that is on eternal rotation on the shopping network. You know the kind of stuff that your grandma buys that is usually (but not quite) almost useful. As this is smack dab in the center of the most tourist specific places in Monterey you can give up on parking close by. Your best bet is to try for the parking garages on wave street assuming you are emotionally able to handle the permanent traffic jam or any other spot that offers cannery row parking. I note that the farther away from the row you get the cheaper the parking is. In the summer they run a free downtown shuttle to and from the row if that helps any. This is a medium sized store which in addition to carrying all that cra....er, unique stuff that you find on television infomercials, also has a lot of kitschy americana and stuff that is just bizarre. To be fair some of the inventive made for tv stuff can be useful-I still have (and use) that shamwow towel thingy i bought a couple years back, but a lot of it is solutions for problems that don't exist. Still entertaining to take a look though and who knows you might find the one truly useful thing in the whole store along with such gems as john wayne chewing gum. I don't think they do returns, and items are priced as marked, so make sure you are okay with spending three bucks on a tin of chewing gum that's john wayne patriot flavored. Otherwise checking the randomness on display here is a hoot. read more

Cute little spot at first. I liked some of the items on display until I saw a small stack of "Make America Great Again" red hats in between the other junk they sell. Was really grossed out and sickened to see a store so openly support and advocate for someone that is ruining our country, dividing us with hatred and racism. Those hats have no business being in Monterey. I will not support this business until they get those ugly symbols of hate off the shelves. read more

My family went into this store on Saturday January 27th where we were treated terribly by whomever was working this day. My great niece was crying and my niece was told she cannot have her here. I bought one of the blue folding helper things.. forgot what you called it but it looked cool at the time. Never used it once even though I lugged it with me to Denver for a couple years from San Francisco... surprised I didn't dig up my Ronco Food Dehydrator that I bought on TV when I was like 15 years old to Denver as I'm sure I thought about the possiblilty of making and marketing my own buffalo jerkey... Wild mind I have... Anywho, heard this place is gone and recently replaced with a frozen yogurt joint. Look forward to trying it soon. read more

We were waiting for a table at Bubba Gumps and ended up in this store. Lots of wild, funny & crazy things in there. We laughed the entire time we were in there. I ended up buying a shirt I always wanted "The Rules for Dating my Daughter". Wore it when my daughters first boyfriend came over - it was perfect. read more

Wow. The old hag at the register needs to not be anywhere near customer service!! I stumbled in here last Saturday to observe the interesting (albeit trashy) novelty items. I was in good spirits, and got a bit excited to see a few of the masks. I picked one up to show my other half in amusement and immediately heard "Yeahhhh. You guys really need to learn how to read" as she motioned to a sign. I did not see the sign and initially felt bad, before I realized how insanely rude and insulting her dusty self was. I put the cheap $25 mask back and informed her I was capable of reading and didnt see the sign. Im not sure how someone like this stays employed here or anywhere but it really pissed me off. A place of intrigue. The majority of these things are absolutely ridiculous with a very specific niche purpose, but that's what makes this store so great. It's kind of like a museum of strange things, except you can buy any of the "art" on exhibit. If you've ever felt the need to wipe your butt with Trump's face, this is the place to go. read more

At first I thought they closed but they just moved to another location down the street and in the shopping mall. What struck me as odd was that half the store was the "As Seen on TV" products and the other half was leftovers from whatever business used to occupy this space because some of the items were definitely not ASOTV products. They included offensive garden gnomes, provocative wine bottle holders, Mexican Day of the Dead figurines, knives and weapons, bootleg Duck Dynasty t-shirts, and other things of the sort. I think I remember seeing some of this weird stuff from the last time I was here (many many years ago). Pretty much every section had a "you break it you buy it" or "don't touch, please ask for assistance" sign so I guess people like to put their hands on everything. The ASOTV items were in pretty bad shape. Basically, everything was beat up, opened, dusty, or dirty. Just like the TV prices, nearly everything was $20 each. Might as well buy it from the TV people because at least they throw in an extra of whatever you're buying. read more

What a random place to have a store such as "As Seen On TV". I usually see stores like this in the middle of malls next door to Hot Dog on a Stick. Hmm..I guess the tourists in the area get a kick out of their products.. shoot, got me interested to see what was inside. Really nothing special about the place but funny as hell to see products that you again, normally see on TV. For instance everyone remembers the stackable tupperwares with the same interchangeable lids that conveniently tucks itself away in your pantry. Oh, and how about the perfect pasta cooker.. everyone needs one of those right!? haha.. Right. Really entertaining but not the right place for this kind of store if you ask me. read more

The one guy who worked here was extremely rude. He didn't make us feel welcome into the store. He made us feel very uncomfortable so we ended up just leaving. He also checked all of me and my friends drivers license before walking into the store to make sure that we were over the age of 18 else we couldn't walk into the store.The whole experience was just terrible. I have been going into theses stores for a while. They are of No interest to me usually but my girl loves them. But today was my day, my family was looking threw the store and my son found the one thing I would have paid 10 times as much for. I was so happy he found it. As Seen On TV store came threw for me. Horrible. If you buy something at this store, regardless of the fact that it may be in the packaging, open it in front of the employees and/or manager and confirm it works. I bought something, took it home, and upon opening it found out that it didn't function properly. I've attempted to return it; however, even the store manager told me "Sorry, we wouldn't be able to sell it again so we can't give you your money back". I find it hard to believe that this store is still in business with an approach such as the one they have in place. read more
