What a charming little boutique! Came in for the jellycats came out with a bunny and the cutest tenis shoes for our daughter. Service was excellent! This boutique is so charming! Everything from the whimsical little entryway to the the styling inside. As we walked by I was immediately drawn in. The shop stocks a nice selection of clothing, shoes, stuffies, and thoughtfully selected toys. They have the Maileg Mice collection, which is adorable! I bought my daughter her first matchbox mouse and will probably build her a collection over the years. The woman at the shop was super nice and helpful. We had a lovely time shopping around without any pressure. read more

This store is everything you dream of when you think of a children's boutique. The shop itself is very well organized and had plenty of selection including fancy handbags. We found some sparkling UGG boots, cute barrettes and a new stuffed lion to come home with us. I thought the woman in the shop was extremely helpful and had good suggestions for add one without being pushy. Terrible customer service. We visit Carmel a few times a year and I always come here to get something for my daughter. Today, we were planning on getting a couple of outfits because she just entered the imaginary dress-up stage and loves dresses/shoes. The owner (I think; a blonde lady) was incredibly rude and snooty. My two year-old was excited to see the shoes and outfits, and she moved a few pairs of shoes around; I put them back fairly quickly. The other staff member was nice and told me I didn't have to put them back. However, the owner was aghast that a toddler moved her arrangement (my daughter was only placing these shoes in a row next to one another--i.e. she did not throw anything around). The owner then told us Heaven is not a toy store, and if we would like to go to one, there's one down the street. The subtext of her comment is that my daughter and I should leave. Can you imagine this kind of attitude towards a toddler when you are in the children's goods' industry? Even if the owner does not consider her store a toy store, this is not the way to treat toddlers--to squash a child's excitement and wonder in this way. I left right away as I didn't want to subject my daughter to such condescension. Why would someone be in the business of owning a store for children yet appear to not take a liking to children? I left with a very sour taste in my mouth and won't be returning again; we did not feel welcome. I hope the owner rethinks her attitude towards children and parents. read more

We just stopped by today because we saw their collection of jellycats in the display window, and out of all the high-end children boutiques I've been to, they had the BEST customer service. I didn't catch the salesperson's name, but she was friendly, VERY knowledgable, helpful and gave good suggestions in a non-pushy way. They not only had a great selection of dresses and shoes, including the newest styles of Mini Melissa, they also had a ton of cute & unique hair accessories (that we ended up buying), along with Hazel Village & Maileg animals & dolls. GREAT costomer service!!! I bought an adorable outfit and when I went home to look at it again realized I had the wrong size jacket. I called the store and Katie who had helped me offered to bring it to me to make the switch! Because I was with a group of women for the weekend I excpeted her offer. She came to Roy's in Pebble Beach where we were having dinner after her shift to give me the correct size. Now that's the way to run a business! I recently went in here a few weeks ago and was not impressed. The lady working there completely ignored me despite me smiling and picking up a few things. She instead seemed to be gushing over another customer while I awkwardly stood there holding a few items I had questions about. Needless to say I put the items down and walked out feeling kind of sad for what seemed like an obvious snub maybe I didn't look "rich" enough compared to the other girl?
