We needed to change locks after moving into a new place. It was late in the day and we weren't able to search for a walk-in business. Moreover, taking the locks out and leaving the house was not a practical option. We had little energy left after a full day of moving boxes, so it made sense to seek a mobile locksmith. I called ASAP and got a quote for three locks. The dispatcher explained pricing structure for our job. And also stated that a locksmith would be able to come within 20 minutes. It sounded okay to me. The mobile locksmith, Rom, soon contacted me over the phone to confirm our job. Indeed, he arrived promptly and surveyed the job. He was able to clearly explain what was needed due to the differences in two of the three locks. Because of this there was a slight increase in the quoted price ($5). This was a horrible experience. I was told they would arrive in 15-20 min., it was over an hour. The guy didn't show up in a company vehicle but a car with his girlfriend. After looking at the door, he told me I had two options, explained the options, filled out the receipt and wanted me to sign it before he told me which option he had to go with. After he decided which option, he wanted me to pay and then he would do another receipt for the doorknob. To say I was upset is an understatement. After he was done, he wanted me to give him a good review right then and there so he could get a "tip" from his boss. He charged me twice what it should have cost me. We were stuck outside our place with a crying baby, and the locksmith could clearly see I was in no position to argue and negotiate over the extra charges. They also "charged" a 10% credit card processing fee. I called them several time after the fact and did nothing about it. DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS!
