DO NOT USE ASAP locksmith!! They will rip you off. Was quoted a price over the phone, their locksmith came and charged triple the price for 5 minutes of work. We were stuck outside our place with a crying baby, and the locksmith could clearly see I was in no position to argue and negotiate over the extra charges. They also "charged" a 10% credit card processing fee. I called them several time after the fact and did nothing about it. DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS! BE WARNED - Complete scam. Do NOT be suckered by these people. Quoted me $95, charged me $460. The technician put an expensive lock on a shack that would fall over in a stiff wind. Called the manager to discuss the bill and had to leave a message. STILL waiting for a call back. This company has 3 different names ("ASAP Locksmith," "Locksmith Burbank" "24/7 Locksmith") and refused to give me the license number. BE WARNED! No integrity. The price is not as quoted. When I called and explained that I forgot the combination to a master lock (the sort of one that they put on high school lockers), I was told it would cost $35 (15 to come, and 20 to take the lock off and "reprogram it to a new combination"). This was markedly lower than the competition, so I agreed. Once the technician arrived, he said it would cost me $130. He finally settled for $80 (which was the higher end of the competition), and cut the lock. Two stars for getting the job done, but otherwise, I think this manner of misleading customers and creating tense moments is very unprofessional. Would not choose them again. read more

Locked ourselves out of the house and called them to see how long it would take for them to send someone and I also I asked about the price. They said someone should be there in about 20minutes and the service fee is $15 plus $30 to get our door open. Sounded great. When they showed up (probably closer to 40minutes which was fine) and the guy looked at our lock and said they charge $150 to open the kind of lock we have. That's a big difference from what they told me on the phone. The guy was super nice and I understood it wasn't his fault but I advised him to tell his company know that they should just say the price depends on the kind of lock you have because from what I was told our lock wasn't even that much if you have a fancier lock it can cost you $400 to open. Jonathan was helpful in an odd situation where hours before our lock was working. He changed our locks promptly, but after a week our lock is literally free floating in our door, it takes me around 3 minutes to open my door everyday now, I'm sure you guys can relate to how badly you want to get inside your house after a 9 hour shift.
