I called the number he gave me and the number is for 24/7 locksmith and they don't have any order for me in the system. I got locked out of my apartment on June 14th,2021. I was quoted $25 for the service call and $45 to open the lock. It was supposed to be $70 all in. Upon arrival, the locksmith told me that it would be more expensive since the lock was not a smart lock. The new quote was $25 for the service call and approximately $145 to open the lock. I declined as it was an exorbitant amount. The technician and dispatcher stated that I had to pay the $25 even though I did not proceed with the service. I was not explicitly told that I would incur the $25 charge regardless of whether I proceeded or not. Furthermore, they did not state that the $45 charge was contingent upon the type of lock. They should have stated that. Also, they could have simply requested a photo of the lock and then provided a quote. Instead, they chose not to clearly articulate pricing and contingencies in hopes that I would simply agree once the locksmith arrived at approximately 1:15AM. Lastly, I left a message on June17th at 12:43PM and June 18th at 11:59AM for the manager. A case was also opened regarding my complaint. I lost my keys to my mailbox.. so I decided to call them after a quick google research. Made a call, get a quote 80$ max. BAD decision.. A young guy showed up. Ask me for 200$. Looking very unprofessional. negociate the price down at 120$.. "Fixed" the mailbox in 2 minutes.. I really hesitated before to hand my credit card, I know I shouldn't.. The mailbox on the exterior looked fine, the keys kinda worked.. then 2 days after, I couldn't even open the mailbox. I got locked out of my apartment and called ASAP Locksmith for a quote. They asked for my address and said that their quote was "$15 for the service fee and $45 for the lock." I agreed and they sent Rome, who came within 15-20 minutes. When he got here he said it was a "five pin" lock and the cost would be $135 with a $15 service fee for a total of $150. I told him that was very different than the estimate I was given and called back to confirm with the woman on the phone. She acknowledged providing me the estimate of $45 but now said their services start at $45 and go up. I was desperate to get home and ended up paying them $150 but feel completely taken advantage of. This is not an honest company and I can see from the other reviews that this is a common practice for them. Please take your business elsewhere. read more

If you are looking to be lied to and charged 6x times the rate quoted to you, this is the locksmith for you. While the service was speedy, in the end they requested nearly $400 dollars for a man to spend 7 minutes UNLOCKING my door- not even replacing the lock or making a new key. Just unlocking. In addition, they held my friends international ID (passport) as collateral until payment was received like some sort of mob. This is illegal and highly offensive. I would highly recommend contacting another company unless you are looking for a company to lie to you directly multiple times and without apology. read more

This company is an ABSOLUTE SCAM. Classic bait and switch. We got locked out of our apartment so we called this company based on their positive Yelp reviews. After assessing our situation, the receptionist quoted us a starting price at $60. The technician arrived within 20 mins, opened our door in literally ONE SECOND, commented that our lock was "so easy" and then charged us $180?!! We've gotten locked out before and were completely expecting that we might have to pay a bit more than the quoted starting $60, but to charge us THREE TIMES that for an "easy" lock. Ridiculous. The technician told us to call the company. We called back, the receptionist offered to drop the price to $170, then to $130...then eventually told us to "just work it out with the technician." Interesting. Basically, if you do decide to call this company for for whatever desperate reason you have and they attempt to scam you, first of all, um, don't be surprised. Second of all, STAND YOUR GROUND, stick to the quoted price, and say you'll report them to the Better Business Bureau. The technician will then take whatever amount you "can give" him in a heartbeat and be on his way. read more

Locked my keys out my house so I called ASAP locksmith because of the good reviews. The receptionist told me it would be 25 minutes before they arrived. I told her that was fine but I will continue to try to open myself until he arrived. Sure enough 5 minutes later I was able to open door and immediately called to cancel the driver. She asked me if I was still willing to pay $25 since she did dispatch the driver and I asked her why would I pay for a service that wasn't performed, she said F**k you and hung up. Very professional. So update...the car is now at a dealer as according to dealer the person from this company that tired to make a car upset the whole system. This man asked for $69 for his time over a week ago and apparently that money would go towards the completion of the product. This man was paid via Venmo, which I know sounds shady AF but we just wanted a key. The man came the next day and could not ,make a key. We are at the dealer and this ASAP wont give the $$ back. BAIT AND SWITCH / Locksmith failed to open lock I called ASAP to have a standard bedroom lock picked after I stupidly left the keys inside I was quoted $15 to show up and $25 to open the door. 10 mins after the quote I got a phone call from the locksmith confirming address and the $40 quote. The locksmith showed up and without even trying to pick the lock told me it was now going to be $70. I was frustrated by the old bait and switch tactic but agreed because I needed to get this over with. After about 30 mins of trying to pick the lock the locksmith said he couldn't pick it. I called the company back about the situation and they apologized. I brought up that I was told by a female employee over the phone that $40 and 20 mins or less time the lock would be open. Then I got the reply I didn't want to hear: "She doesn't know what she was talking about" But how could an employee running the phones and giving out quotes not know what she's talking about?!
