We had a few…read morespeedbumps pulling the trigger on this trip for health reasons but Kait patiently waited for us to find the right time and planned a trip that proved to be well worth the wait! Her attention to detail before, during and after the trip was unparalleled and she saw to it that things ran seamlessly. The itinerary was planned with care and consideration of our preferences and the hotels, excursions and even connections were arranged with us and our desires in mind. As I've said before, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kait and Roam Travel to others or to call upon them for any future trips whether they be a few states away or across the world (well at least as far as I am willing to sit on a plane for lol!).

It was our first time traveling in Europe and she made the whole experience seamless and stress free. At every location we were greeted by a private driver, we had the most beautiful boutique accommodations, and each of our private tours was better than the last. She elevates travel to provide you with a one of a kind personal and immersive experience. I feel like we got to know Croatia better than any other place we've been and now I don't want to travel any other way!

It gives all the basics needed for train travel, but could use an update hopefully in the future. Definitely not bad, it handles its purpose well for the most part. The Deets: I spend quite a few weekends in Asbury Park now. Two of main ways to get there besides driving from "the city" is either by ferry or train, and of course the NJ Transit train is both less expensive of the two and gets you right to the center of town. This part brings me to the subject of my review today, the NJ Transit Asbury Park station. Mainly, it does the job and is adequate. Yes, it may be a bit dated (OK quite a bit dated) and not in that old classic nostalgic type of way. But it has a pretty spacious waiting area inside where you can shelter from the cold/heat, a dedicated ticket office, bathrooms, etc. It even has a little snack area available when open, which is a modest simple little corner you can order and get refreshments while you wait on your train. The station seems to have limited hours for accessing the inside on weekends, just a heads up on that one. The AP station is not bad however it definitely could do with a facelift and some TLC, but it handles a customer's needs adequately. Wikipedia offers a good little write up on it at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asbury_Park_station .

I was excited about the trendy aesthetic, but this place is filthy. I am not a dog owner, but *am* a dog lover and my "fresh" pillowcases and bedding had animal hair embedded in them. The rug was badly stained- entire room felt so dirty, like a public restroom. Thanks for the slippers- but this is a shoes ON kinda place. I had such a bad reaction to our room I slept the last 3 nights wearing a mask. Being in the room made my eyes red and burn, shortness of breath/wheezing- symptoms would lessen as soon as I got fresh air. Eww. Just allergic to all the dander and filth. Developed & left with the worst sinus infection I've ever had. And with all my cleanliness concerns, we were googling legionnaires symptoms. Not being dramatic- it was really bothersome and worrying to feel so awful IN a hotel room. We were out of our room daily by 10:30 am (do not disturb sign NOT up) and we didn't get our room remade 2 of the days. I had to call down for clean towels once we returned from the beach. BUT! We did arrange (& agree to additional charge) for late checkout and KNOCK KNOCK (do not disturb UP!!) housekeeping at our door on checkout day as we are packing- ready to flip our room! Annoying. Additionally, the pool was disgusting. The adults never went in but it's hard to keep kids out. You couldn't see the bottom it was so cloudy- We were worried about them dunking their faces under. Especially after watching a late night adults only pool party following a sweaty group tournament in the park. Gross. The pool was cleaned once during our stay, with a robot vacuum. BEFORE that party. That water needed TREATMENT. Stick to the ocean. Valet is only parking option and you wait an insane amount of time for the attendant- when you can see your car parked right out front. Please give us our keys! At that point you're not providing a service. We are going to be late for our reservations and you're wasting our vacation time. At $50/night for that, you're just taking advantage in a seemingly not very busy part of town. There is no access to ice, so to fill your water bottles etc, you need to ask the cafe in lobby. During busy coffee mornings, the barista was not thrilled to be dealing with this and we were not thrilled to wait over a half hour for a cup of ice. Understaffed- needs more than one overwhelmed person. We had SO SO much fun enjoying the beach & boardwalk. Really wish this hotel was a dream and we "found our new place" but absolutely wouldn't stay here again. We would have left after 1st night, if we didn't need to be here for the family thing. We were shocked how well reviewed it is. There are so many options along the shore. **wait! I just remembered- one morning there was a siren/alarm going off for nearly 15 minutes and the manager came over the loudspeaker in our room (yup, that's right- intercom loudspeaker) and said repeatedly that there was no emergency. Extremely loud, for a really long time. Mmmmkay.
