I've been visiting the Rochelle Park Ascend location for years, and after moving closer to the Fort Lee store, I was hoping for a similar experience to what I'd come to expect there. Unfortunately, this location has consistently fallen short in several areas. Pre-orders are often not ready upon arrival, and I've run into repeated issues with pricing, discount application, and general organization within the store. It's no longer clear where to wait, or where to pay--especially when it's busy. Long wait times are common, and the overall flow of the store seems inefficient. The staff experience is hit or miss. While there are a few team members who are helpful and pleasant, others appear visibly unhappy to be there. One particular attendant stands out due to repeated encounters that have been stressful rather than supportive. The tone is often unnecessarily loud or abrupt--something I've witnessed with other customers as well. On a recent visit, in the middle of a rain storm, I was directed (rather forcefully) to move my car despite the parking lot being nearly empty because I had parked in curb side pick up parking. The signs are small and not visible to someone backing in. While I understand policies exist, the delivery of that message could've been much more respectful and professional without screaming across the parking lot. This is a dispensary--many people come here for medical purposes or simply to have a calm, pleasant experience. The atmosphere should reflect that, and lately it feels far from it. Each time I return, I notice fewer employees, fewer customers, and more tension in the air. The only reason I continue coming here is convenience. But I've started to seriously consider making the extra trip to a location where the experience is more in line with what a dispensary should be--calm, organized, and customer-focused. read more

Hands down fresh cut weed and always a variety of new strains. I visit this place regularly. The price beats any competitor in the area. I love going to this spot. The staff is always friendly and plenty of parking. Also, they give you a chance at participating in "Spin the wheel " to win a new strain or shoot a basketball through the net. This was my first time at any dispensary so I have no other place to really compare it to. Coming in I didn't know what to expect. They check your ID upon entrance and then they allow you inside. It wasn't busy at all and there were plenty of places to park. Inside they have a few things to look at showcasing some of the items they have. After looking around I went to the screen in the back where you place your order. Someone was there asking if I needed any help right away, which I did so that was very nice someone was there to guide me. He asked me what I was looking for- pretty much explained to him I'm not a big smoker and was looking for some mild items that would assist with falling asleep or feel relaxed. He showed me a few different items that he felt would work well for me and explained the different strains; then proceeded to show me how to use the screen. The most helpful part of shopping was just like with online shopping you can search least expensive to most expensive- well with this you could choose least amount of THC to highest amount which I thought was pretty cool. I chose a couple of things- pre-rolled joints, gummies and some plant based sleeping pills pretty much to see what would work best for me or what I would like. Total cost was $85 which I didn't think was bad at all for everything I received. My friend wound up getting a vape and a couple of other items. We placed the order and when my order was ready (took 5 mins) I was able to go check out. They have a medical line and a recreational use line- the medical line was much shorter but it really didn't make too much of a difference. The customer service all around was fantastic and everyone was very nice. WARNING : They do not accept credit cards as stated here. Only debit cards or cash. Just as an FYI, if you pay with a debit card, the charge will appear as if you did an ATM transaction and their name will not appear anywhere. if your debit card is not from their bank you will be chaged a fee which will be added to your purchase total and it's possible your bank will charge you a fee as well. This dispensary USED to be good by giving discounts for shortages on edibles. Their policy has now changed and they want me to take pictures of the shortages bring the pics to them, and wait 48 hours for results. I am a stage 4 metastatic breast cancer patient and cannot go there on a whim and am on a strict budget. This is twice now that I have been shorted on VAl Halla and Ozone edibles. Terrible experience today, today was my second time, after spending over $100 here last Friday I came by today for preroll, after being on three separate lines they said oh" usually chime debt card has been giving us an issue bit no problem" after swiping my card several times, nothing.
