I think I went through 4-5 clinics in the area until I finally stumbled upon Bronson Sports. They were extremely welcoming and accomodating. Was able to be seen right away by Kevin. He was professional and very knowledgeful. Helped me out right away and I left feeling quite relieved. The whole facility looks amazing and I would definitely recommend anyone to see any of the specialist here. This will be my definite default place for all my health care visits now.

He is an extremely kind and caring doctor, with the surgical skills to back it up. He set the bar high for all the rest of the doctors to come in my life! Next up, Dr. Bowman. I had torn the meniscus in my knee many times, over many years, and finally we were able to get insurance (pre-existing condition, so thank you, Obama-care) and get it operated on. 7 years of extreme pain and limited mobility, taken care of with ONE single surgery. Dr. Bowman is very smart, and his mind is so agile that you can practically see it making connections during your time with him. He is thoughtful, and addressed all my concerns with patience and great suggestions. In all of my appointments, he has been kind, courteous, and most of all, a problem-solver. WOOT! I went back to him this week, years later, with more knee problems. He asked how I wanted to treat it, I concurred with Aggressively, and away we went. I appreciate a doctor who makes a treatment plan WITH me. Lastly, Dr. Jensen, who saw me for a broken toe. Yes, I dropped a cast iron pan on it...much blood and broken bone as a result. I was concerned because I have hardware in my ankle, and there are lifelong repercussions to that, namely, you need to be careful with wounds because of infection. Dr. Jensen was also kind (seems to be a theme here, thankfully), treated this somewhat minor injury with care, and was always on top of my concerns, as well as some I should have been aware of. Other great things? Fast xrays on site, spacious waiting room, NO loud tv (although there is one, playing sports, behind the elevator column), welcoming staff, courteous nurses, fast MyChart responses, and wide hallways, for those of us on crutches. If you've got a sports injury or a mobility injury (for those of us non-sporty people), HEAD HERE. You'll be glad you did. Note: surgeries are performed downtown, at Bronson Hospital.

In fact, I was able to get a doctor visit and specific test within DAYS here. That was great news because the specialist & test my Bronson system GP referred me to could not see me for months. Women at check-in office area are especially nice, helpful. One was able to speed the plow for me when she had this idea: "You can self-refer to our MD who can then do the test." Thank you Jesus! Now, within a week their MFB physiatrist* has seen and diagnosed me, and I got evaluated by a physical therapist, doing therapy, and I'm well on the way to having less pain. Plenty of handicap parking spaces -- four, I believe. TV set in waiting room doesn't play mindless, loud chatter and zammo blammo. Instead, it plays relaxing music and calm scenes of puppies, the beach, mountains, etc. LOVE that. Instead of trying to get me to watch what they want me to watch, they think of ME -- how I probably want to relax if I'm in a healthcare facility waiting room. THANK YOU. Waits are not long. I've seen an MD and a physical therapist so far. I've just started my own rehab. So far so good. * A physiatrist (pronounced fizz-EYE-uh-trist) is an MD or DO who concentrates on diagnosis and non-surgical treatment/therapy of musculoskeletal and nerve disorders, physical handicaps and injuries. I have trouble saying "physiatrist" so I just call them "fizzy doctors".

They currently hold management meetings with assigned seats and no masks, forcing employees to disregard social distancing and putting the living residents in greater harm. This place is an unethical, illegal deathtrap!! I've reported them to the state several times.

I had been long walking on a left knee that ached and hurt. My internist's office referred me to…read morethis group. I'm now three weeks past a left knee replacement and I have been completely satisfied with the services from this group, from the DO (VanHuysen) and the orthopedic surgeon (Roehr) to the nurses, the Physician Assistants, and the X ray technicians. All have been professional. I'm impressed by the quality of care and the attentiveness to my situation. And, best of all, my left knee no longer hurts at all. The previous review (from '13) blames the billing issues on the practice but I bet it is more about the hospital at large. I've noticed that when patients carry a balance (e.g., their insurances have paid the hospital but the patients haven't yet paid their portions) they are often asked if they want to "pre-pay" some amount on subsequent services. My portion of the bill after my insurance paid was $323 (not an unreasonable amount, I thought). Payment was due Sept. 9. I mailed my check to the hospital in mid August. But before the check cleared, I went to the Outpatient Lab for labwork. It was there I was asked at Registration if I wanted to "pre-pay." Of course not, I said. My insurance is awesome and I always pay my bills on time. I suppose it's a reminder that hospitals are a business and they need to pay their bills too. About the practice in question, I know that pre-authorization for services was successfully sought, I had in August received in the mail an Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and MyChart shows an itemized bill. I would have no reluctance recommending this practice (and, as it turns out, one of my friends who is marveling at my progress, decided to pull the trigger and get an appointment at the practice in early September to look at his wonky knee).
