My family has been a patient of Dr. Mena's for the past 2 years almost 3 years we have enjoyed him as our primary care doctor! He has doctor privileges at Memorial hospital, St. Joesph Hospital & Tampa General right in the area of his doctor office and Memorial Hospital is right across the street for easy access. His office staff is always friendly his nurses are always friendly and they will do the normal check the weight, temperature and fever to make sure your not coming down with a cold, flu or anything bad like. They'll take you to a private room where they'll ask you what brings you in to the doctor's office and then you'll wait for the doctor to come in and he'll exam you in the area your having a problem at. Trust me if you or someone else is needed a great doctor in the Tampa or the surrounding areas check out Dr. Mena he's awesome.

When you personally call the office for a refill they tell you it will be 3-5 days before they authorize the rx. Not good when you have a massive case of hives and no steroids. That's just one example. Not only our family but other patients of dr mena have had stories of when they were sick and needed to see a doctor and called dr mena he declined to see them and us. We have asked repeatedly for him to call us-nothing. We have sent emails to his email. Nothing. Not worth the extra money. We are going to find a better doctor- and that is a low bar.

It has been 6 months and my legs hurt worse than before and cosmetically the veins seem to protrude much more! I am not sure this procedure helped at all! Second issue is billing! I have never had such professional, kind, attentive treatment in my life. When I began seeing Dr Serneel my kidney function was at barely 20 %. As of my last visit it was 63% and I attribute it all to Dr Serneel's focused approach to getting my numbers up. She and her staff will cause you to think that you are their only patient because they are so laser focused on any and all needs you have. Doctor Echevarria was running behind appointments but it was understandable. I thought he would be able to be my Surgeon for my hiatal hernia but unfortunately he is not up to par on robotic surgeries that deals with hiatal hernias or hasn't done them much to feel safe with the surgery that I need since my surgery is a complex or hard surgery. He did not charge me for a office visit due to being sent to his office for something he can not do and this was very nice for him to do so. But my troubles he did refer me over to another surgeon he knows that deals with hiatal hernias with robotics. The office lobby is a small to a medium size with a small tv and free WIFI for the patient to use while waiting to be called to see the doctor. The patient rooms are some what small but nothing to worry about.
