I came to see Shankar this past December for neck/left arm pain caused by a disc injury; he was highly recommend to me by the doctor's office that made the initial diagnosis. All I can say from there is- I made the right decision. Shankar did an amazing job with my rehab program and less than 2 months later I am pain free with INCREASED range of motion than what I had previously. Shankar works one on one with his patients, is very genuine in his concern for each patient's needs, and was very flexible with my work hours vs. appointment times. I have seen Shankar for herniated disc and issues before and after fusion surgery. I have never had a physical therapist that I have been more pleased to see. Shankar is extremely knowledgable and always willing to discuss his assessment and what's going wrong. I haven't explained an ache, pain or weakness that Shankar wasn't able to give excellent advice on how to improve range of motion and reduce pain. read more

I would highly recommend this facility for physical therapy treatment. I have been going here for about 2 weeks now. Shankar, the physical therapist is very professional, knowledgeable, and good at his work. He takes the time to explain what he is doing or why he recommends a particular exercise. I have noticed a significant improvement in a short period of time. The physical therapist assistant, Chelsea, is very kind and helpful as well. They have been great about letting me know about cancellations if I would like to get in sooner. They are very attentive to detail, about spending time with each client to make sure they are comfortable, and making it a relaxed atmosphere in general. I have had the misfortune of suffering a couple of injuries in recent years, but as they say every cloud has its silver lining, and in this case the silver lining is Shankar and Ascent Physical Therapy. Shankar and his team are incredibly knowledgeable and have a deep understanding of the body and how to rehabilitate an injury. They not only treat the actual injury, but also identify and remedy the underlying cause such as muscle imbalances, posture issues and issues related to flexibility. They create treatment plans to ensure that you address the underlying cause and won't be back with the same injury down the track. I am thoroughly disgusted with the unprofessional behavior of Shankar Krishnan owner of Ascent Physical Therapy. After receiving care at his office Mr. Krishnan provided a multitude of fallacious and defamatory comments to the Physical Therapy Advisor at my Long Term Disability carrier. When I questioned him about the phone call he refused to provide any assistance stating the information he verbally gave to the PT Advisor was not in my record and I was on my own to defend myself regarding his comments! Mr. Krishnan further indicated it is not his problem how the PT Advisor interpreted his comments! I am left to do the same for my medical records! My records from his office are inundated with inaccurate entries regarding pain scores, patient stated improvements, functional ability, social history etc. The records also lack objective testing documentation of how my functional capacities were arrive at. Mr. Krishnan has refused to correct the inaccuracies in my records. He has also refused to provide me with any objective written documentation as to how the functional capacities in my record were arrived at! As far as I am concerned Mr. Krishanan does not care who he hurts as long as his PT claims are paid! read more
