"CAROLINA" was not honest to me and not share her full knowledge before I paid for application fee AND DEPOSITE MONEY BEFORE I MOVE IN TO THE PLACE. I explained to her about my income and clearly they saw back and forward, my statements and even mentioned I have a co-signer with good history for the past 6 years and she made me to do all that and without any phone call 30 minutes after she sent a bunch of email for rentals verifications, her manager "DIANA" very rudely sent an email about rejection because of my co-signers credit and on phone call she brought another excuses, my co-signer used to be a co-signer for another 2 people with the letter of explanation we have a proof everything was on time but it's only report. Also, pay stubs are more than x3 and even x5 for source of income. As today on 26th of Feb, not these people wasted $118 only for a small commission for themselves and money from me. Also not sending my $400 deposit check back. I am trying to keep emailing and calling and leaving voicemails for DIANA and CAROLINA but non of them communicating with me. This check supposed to send out last 2 weeks and after a week Diana called me and apologized they just sent out after 10 days and because I am in LA, I would get it in 3-4 business days and now we are a week more (3rd week) I do NOT HAVE MY CHECK AND ANY RESPOND from these people. If you are self-employed even high income, stay away from this unprofessional team who would judge you because you are just smart and making money from your business.

When you request for things to be fixed, they lie and say it's already been fixed so they can collect rent from you without doing their job as a landlord. Not to mention you will be sharing the building with roaches and rats that are out day and night. There's constant brawls happening in the halls in the middle of the night that leads into the hallways, homeless people living right outside the building and sometimes making their way into the building and roaming the halls begging for drugs and food. I went two months without a functioning toilet or shower and after several complaints I was never reimbursed for having to pay for the repairs. This building is old so things break and need to be fixed all the time but they will delay you to make repairs as long as they can. The new management is very shady and never gives any answers to problems because they're trying to push all the old tenants out while they do illegal repairs on the building. They'll lie and say you haven't paid your rent when you have so they can attempt to scare the remaining people living here into leaving. Truly despicable. Look elsewhere for a place because this is a haunted house at this point.

I loved having a huge area with windows in the kitchen, and the interiors are fairly modern with a cool-toned grey walls and a chandelier. Loved having a full size fridge, compact stove/oven, and spacious walk-in closet. The onsite manager, Jessica H, is wonderful. She is always courteous and responsive via phone, email, or text, and always responded in a way that showed she genuinely cared about the experience of the residents. When I had a hornets nest outside my window or my pilot light was out, she made sure it was taken care of even when I was at work. Even now that I've moved to another area, she always lets me know if a package accidentally gets delivered there so I can come pick it up. Having strong management was definitely a bright spot of Cherokee Villas. Thanks Jessica!! I rate this building 4 stars because of the parking situation. I did not like having to pay $144 a month to park in the city lot, which often left me waiting in a 5 minute line of tourists to get into the structure. Also I lived on the third floor, and I did not like having to walk all the way down to the basement to use the washer and dryer. Oh well! Other than that, this apartment is exactly what I needed for the two years I lived there!

Rose, the property manager, is responsive, professional, and actually cares about the people living here. Maintenance requests were handled promptly every time, and when something was beyond fixing, she replaced it without making it a whole ordeal. That kind of follow-through is rare and it made such a difference in day-to-day life. The apartments are all newly renovated and a great size, especially for the price. Parking is included in the garage, and street parking in the area is easy enough that guests never had trouble finding a spot. Laundry is in the building and fairly priced, which is honestly more than you can say for a lot of places. 18 years is a long time to stay anywhere, and I genuinely think Rose is a big part of why I did. If you're looking for a place where the people running it actually do their jobs well and treat residents with respect, this is it.

Management at Burton Way Luxury Apartments gave a key to my unit to my stalker -- yes, you read that right. My stalker created a fake email pretending to be me, told the office that a "friend" would be picking up a key, and they actually handed it over to him. This was after I had already given the management team written and verbal instructions not to respond to anyone using that email or any other number but mine. As a result, my home was broken into, thousands of dollars worth of belongings were stolen, and I was left feeling completely unsafe in my own apartment. On top of that, the building is infested with roaches. They're all over the property and eventually made their way into my unit. I complained about this repeatedly. Every time, management said they had "treated it," but nothing ever changed. The problem clearly runs deep in this building, and they simply refuse to take it seriously. And if all that wasn't enough, after everything I'd already been through, a new employee started working for the management company and -- unbelievably -- called my stalker directly, thinking it was me. This is after months of me explaining the severity of my situation and begging management not to make that exact mistake. It's beyond careless -- it's dangerous. For the amount of money they charge to live here, tenants deserve safety, professionalism, and basic human respect. Instead, what you'll get is a roach-infested building run by people who clearly don't care about their residents or their safety. There are plenty of great places on Burton Way, even older buildings that are managed far better than this so-called "luxury" complex. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. This is especially true of the elevators, which were excruciatingly slow and dilapidated previously (and elevators are not a cheap task). Management (on-site Property Manager, Valerie) is rather responsive now (where previously under different ownership, things that weren't plumbing emergencies, for example, would just not get fixed for months). Valerie has technicians at the property at least a couple times a week for maintenance. One tech in particular, Victor, has helped me a couple of times and is absolutely great. Love the location of this building as I can walk to a ton of retail, and it's far enough west that it's less chaotic and cleaner than Hollywood proper. Two blocks away, Plummer Park's Monday farmers market (9AM-2PM) is on the small side but has everything that you need. Be sure to check out the Eyes and Ears Corn Roasters for an amazing lunch at the market. The Spaulding Square neighborhood just northwest of the building is pleasant for walks if you've got a four-legged friend, and Runyon Canyon is also a short walk if you're into something more strenuous. I would love if Villa Elizabeth would spring for a small gym with even a few cardio machines, but Crunch, Equinox, 24 Hour Fitness and Gold's are all within a reasonable distance as are Pilates and yoga studios. Drop by The Electric Owl two blocks up the street after your workout for happy hour and enjoy a locals spot with a great patio. Blackwood Coffee essentially across the street from The Owl is also fantastic. This building really is close to everything...if only it were a little bit closer to a freeway :)

He's always been available for questions in his office, and even offered to help with temporary furnishings when my furniture delivery was delayed by two weeks. Separate from that, he's also given me local restaurant recommendations in the area, along with places to go sightseeing. He has made the transition from the east coast to he west coast incredibly seamless! Edgar also deserves a shoutout! When I decided to last minute upgrade my apartment he made sure I had my keys in a timely manner and helped make sure the move in/move out went off without a hitch. I'm incredibly happy with the level of service Eduardo/Edgar have continuously provided since I've moved in. As for the apartments, they're nice with the amenities that you'd definitely want. There are assigned electric charging spots, gas range, central air, parking garage, dishwasher etc. There's also an efficient system for buzzing in food deliveries - no need to run downstairs (or take the elevator) to let deliveries in! I would gladly recommend the Adler to friends if I could first convince them to move to the west coast!

Not only is Rah super responsive, but she also communicates with tenants regularly, keeping us updated on any changes, repairs, or events in the complex.
