I lived here for 18 years, that should say it all. But I'll say more: the management here is truly one of a kind. Rose, the property manager, is responsive, professional, and actually cares about the people living here. Maintenance requests were handled promptly every time, and when something was beyond fixing, she replaced it without making it a whole ordeal. That kind of follow-through is rare and it made such a difference in day-to-day life. The apartments are all newly renovated and a great size, especially for the price. Parking is included in the garage, and street parking in the area is easy enough that guests never had trouble finding a spot. Laundry is in the building and fairly priced, which is honestly more than you can say for a lot of places. 18 years is a long time to stay anywhere, and I genuinely think Rose is a big part of why I did. If you're looking for a place where the people running it actually do their jobs well and treat residents with respect, this is it. read more

I have been here for two years and I promise I wouldn't leave here unless I was purchasing a home. The location is A+, the parking garage and guaranteed spot is A+, laundry downstairs and most of the machines are digital, the elevator (just having one makes life so much easier) A+, balcony, walk in closet, great size one bedroom, mine has a little den that I use as an office, more light than I have ever had in any apartment I've lived in, and the renovation that happened before I moved in made for an updated, well painted apartment. The building manager Rose lives in house and I love that she's here. It is so much better and easier to get things done than any other property I've lived at. I've only had a few issues since I've been here and they have gotten fixed within a few days and none were emergencies. She's on her stuff and I don't think she'll ever know how much I appreciated the work she did for me. Been here for 4 years, never had any issue till a little prior to the pandemic. Corporate Management was changed and issues started arriving. On site manager Rose is AMAZING to say the least. She is responsive event at 9pm when something happens. The corporate Portobello tho is an other story. My AC has had 7 service on the last years and a half because it stops working during the day. Love Rose! She's always available to answer questions and actually let's you know when packages have arrived. As for the property, there were a few small things in my unit that should be fixed up eventually, but they are truly minor details (ie. Doorbell). To note, although a bit loud (totally happy they are doing it), they decided to redo the hallways! The hallways were carpeted, so there was a lot of dust. However, they are in the process of switching to wood, which will help the air quality and the floors will stay cleaner. My unit was fully remodeled prior to my move-in. Laundry unit is advanced with coin-less operations. You pay money into an app, scan the machine, then done. I hate quarters, so I was ecstatic! The parking garage is gated for security, and the area is really nice because there is plenty of street parking for friends of family visiting. All-in-all, great first month here! read more

She helped me out with any questions I had and directed me to whomever would be the best contact to handle any situation. Very communicative and even lets you know when you have a package waiting for you. Such a nice person + will do what it takes to help you out. The company that owns the apartment complex has a bunch of other properties as well, all super affordable, depending on where you look. My rent was such a steal. I rented a newly renovated 2 bed 2 bathroom for $2395, had two car parking with ample street parking as well, laundry facility, and in the heart of Hollywood. Really can't get a better deal than this. I lived at La Ventana for about 6 months (went back home for the remaining 6 months of my 12 month lease because of covid) and there was never really anything to complain about during my 6 months of living there. As mentioned, my apartment was newly renovated and everything was modern -- granite countertops, grey wood flooring, beautiful cabinetry. It's a fairly quiet area and I never had to make any noise complaints despite it being super close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We've lived here for 9 years now. When I walked into our apartment the very first time when Rose, the manager showed it to me, I fell in love with it. It was bright and it had hardwood floor (we've always lived with carpeted floors). Considering it's on the first floor opening to Lexington and has a one-story building right across, it is still very bright throughout the day. We don't have a view as some people on the floors above us might have, but we're hardly ever home, so it's not really a concern. Neither is the fact that there's no pool. And yes, the walls are thin and you can often hear the neighbors, but I sleep with ear plugs, so again, not a problem. As other reviewers have said, the "heart" of the building is Rose, the manager. She's on top of everything all the time. She's doing her best to have things fixed as soon as possible. Most recently I requested that the towel rail gets replaced on our shower door (it broke off earlier). We ended up with a brand new shower door and all the rust and mold that encased the old shower door was beautifully cleaned off as well. We couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, sometimes it's not up to her how fast things get fixed. If it was, believe me, everything would be fixed and done within 24 hours. Rose has actually done a good job at selecting new tenants and getting rid of problem tenants over the years. The building these days is really peaceful. You couldn't wish for a quieter place. Yes, the neighborhood is not the best, but that's no fault of the management and it has also definitely gotten better over the years. We're here to stay for many more years to come. read more

I have lived at Ventana Apartments over 3 years and just want to say what a joy it has been. The onsite apartment manager, Rose, is FANTASTIC. She is the gold standard of apartment managers (she could teach the course on apartment managing). All apartments (I believe) have recently been renovated and any minor issues are quickly taken care of by Rose and her staff of professionals. Common areas are kept clean and comfortable. The building is secure with an easy-to-use entrance intercom. The property is close to the center of Hollywood and all the attractions. Major retailers such as Best Buy, Target, Walgreens, Ralphs and Chase Bank (in addition to others) are but a short walk away. At the same time, it is far enough off the heavily travelled streets to be quiet and enjoyable. The garage is equipped with electric vehicle charging stations and the easily accessible laundry room is up-to-date with wireless payment technology for those who wish to use it. As a first time living alone its such a great beautiful studio with hardwood floors and great A/C Calm quiet building with respectful neighbors nice views and great sunshine. Been living here for a year now so I feel like I can write an accurate review. This place is a great place to call home and I'm so glad that I ended up finding it! The place itself is a BARGAIN for the rent because (a) parking spot is included.. which is AMAZING if you think about where this apartment is located (b) mine is a studio but its super spacious and large (c) comes with a full bathroom and KITCHEN (d) Rose, the office manager, is probably the nicest person I've met. The apartments themselves are nice but the hallways need work. The moldy carpet and yucky purple paint would take this place from average to great. The walls are paper thin. Like no joke. I can hear my neighbors phone when it's on silent mode, buzzing....and that's just the beginning. There's no sense of privacy. Despite being in Hollywood, the area is fairly nice and safe. They call the cops on tenants because there is a leak in ones apt because of course that is teh appropriate response. Last time there was a leak from a pipe I got forked the bill. They said and I quite steam accumulation. That's the type of slum lords that run this pace. Make yourself a favor.. sooner or later you will need management and they will surly underwhelm as reviews show on all other social networks. What more can I say?
