Well the Paisley centre hardly the new harrods infact hardly the new anything…read more The shopping centre is old and seems very tacky to be fair , their isnt a lot in the shopping centre you have a lot of individual cafes, junk shops, card shops, phone shops, you also have a butchers, fishmongers, fruit & Veg shop, but with the likes of M&S being inside the centre this doesnt help the small businesses much and neitheir does having a morrisons near by. It also has a big Co-operative department shop which i am suprised is even still their if you look at the prices of items in the store. But it does have a nice cafe on the bottom floor and a thorntons and mcdonalds other than this its nothing special. The centre to be fair doesnt have much life even though it is in the centre of paisley. It could be doing with some better shops in their and a bit of life adding to it. But with Braehead being a short distance away i cant see this ever happening. Overall Good Location Poor Atmosphere Poor Selection of Shops Badly Outdated

The Paisley Centre suffers from a few empty units but the gem is the InShops. The InShops are full of little independent retailers - butchers, fish stall, cafes, furniture, nail bar, and a watch repairers. I always pop in here for repairs to my watch as the work is great and really cheap. The M&S has went from being a normal store to being an Outlet store, which is full of M&S products which have been highly discounted. There is also a foodhall full of M&S goodies. The Paisley Centre is ok - it could do with more filled units, but the InShops are worth checking out.

The Piazza is the worst shopping centre I have ever been in. It's a shame really because I remember…read morewhen I was younger and I was living in a village in between the centre of Glasgow and Paisley town centre and at that time Paisley was a thriving, busy town with lots of shops. When I was about 13 my mum started letting me get the bus into Paisley with my friends to go around the shops because we were still a bit young to be let lose in big scary Glasgow! Nowadays though it's only really the Piazza that's left and the shops are horrible. There are lots of pound shops and bad ones at that! In terms of fashion, the most on trend stores include DR, Bonmarche, Ethel Austin and The Knitwear Gallery which says it all really! It is mostly older people who live in Paisley that shop in the Piazza as it really isn't worth the journey in from anywhere else in the Glasgow area.

I'll admit that I usually only come in here to use the loo as there isn't much else going for it…read more The few shops that occupy the center sell clothes for example Peacocks, international and Mackays, food well you'll be wanting Aulds, BB's cafe or the Co-operative then. For every occasion there is a reasonably priced card shop and for everything else there is Poundland and Homezome oh and if you're into arts and crafts or reading the Works is a nice substitute to the local more expensive WH Smith. I'm giving this 2 because I remember when I was little that there was such more variety of shops.

B&M - B&M store opening soon next to Tesco Linwood

With a "sister" B&M store not far away in the Phoenix retail park Linwood/Paisley (not far from ASDA) I was wondering what the difference was? Compared to other B&M's I've visited, this is a lot brighter store, with almost an old style supermarket feel, except that the shelves are stacked as high as possible with goods, presumably because it's just opened it's doors. The rang is pretty much the same range as the other B&Ms I've visited, just in a smaller space. Unlike it's nearest "sister" store it doesn't have an outdoor garden section or a furniture section, but apart from that, it stocks most of the same items at prices that challenge the big supermarkets in the area. As long as you're a smart shopper and watch out for the odd price that is just that little bit more expensive that the usual, it's worth a visit to stock up on the odd item or two. My only gripe with this store is the automatic doors which, despite being brand new, take an age to open. This may put some people off going in and others frustrated as they try to leave, for me (being a quick walker) it meant that I had to stop myself from going head first into them only to realise, taking a step back and then standing like a security guard during a Black Friday sale, whilst they eventualy opened.

The store itself is bright and well laid out, friendly staff, with tattoos and piercings all on show, which I'm a big fan of, I like a company who let their staff express themselves! The store is a B&M 'bargain' store, I'm not exactly sure what the difference is between a 'regular' store and this one, but it seems to sell mostly the same items. It's closes at 8pm Monday to Friday which is acceptable, but 6pm on Saturday and Sunday seems a little early. Other than the opening hours, I find this a fantastic little store, with plenty choice of bargains to be had.

I am a big Matalan fan but it is only in past couple of years that I have had the confidence to openly admit it to my peers, now when they say, "Nice dress Lisa," I proudly reply, "A tenner from Matalan, get in!" The store at the Phoenix always has gorgeous little dresses, shoes and bags, usually for under £20. Of course they are never made of the best materials but I still find the quality to be much better than rival store Primark. It is also a good thing if you're buying clothes and things for going on holiday and you know they are going to end up covered in sand and booze and allsorts so you don't want to spend a lot of money on them anyway. I absolutely love Matalan's "Cozy Up" range of night wear. I bought a fluffy white dressing gown with pink hearts on months ago and it has been washed umpteen times but is still as fluffy and cozy as when I first bought it. The lingerie is really pretty too. Unfortunately they don't sell my bra size but I like the packs of 5 ladies boxers, very cute. When I first moved out of my parent's home I bought a lot of my home ware from this Matalan store, basic things like towels and a laundry basket. There are collections by Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Colin and Justin and Linda Barker. I can't stand Linda Barker but unfortunately I love her range of kitsch crockery! There is also a collection by Martine McCutcheon which I find more than a little bit random! My favorite section of this Matalan store is the M Party section. This section has everything you need to throw the perfect party. There is a multitude of different invitations, decorations, party games and fancy dress costumes. You could spend an hour just in this department alone!

They also have a really nice range of homeware, which includes the Katie Price bedding range. Their christmas range is great, loads of gorgeous decorations and gifts at cheap prices!
