Huge shoutout to one of the absolute best pharmacies out there--Stone Ridge Pharmacy in Aldie, VA!…read more If you're looking for a pharmacy where you feel like family, look no further! The head pharmacist and owner, Satish, is an incredible ally in your healthcare journey. His team is fantastic, and the vibe at Stone Ridge Pharmacy is all about one goal: delivering the most accurate, well-informed, and easily understandable information about your medications. Seriously, they make managing my medications a breeze, and I can't thank them enough! Let me share a bit about my experience. I've got a chronic illness that used to run my life, but I took the reins and decided to make it work for me. I did my research, trusted my instincts, and relied on common sense. Now, thanks to Satish and his amazing team, I'm living life on my terms! I take a whole bunch of medications--13 core ones, to be exact! Stone Ridge organizes them into a convenient monthly pack, with everything sorted by morning and night (they even have the day of week, date, and morning is one color and night is another; really making it hard to miss doses). And it doesn't stop there! They provide me with PRN medications in their own bottles, plus one liquid and one powder. Here's the kicker: they even offer premeasured packets for my powder and a syringe stopper for my liquid meds! Talk about going the extra mile! I'll admit, I was a bit hesitant to have a pharmacy that's 22 miles away as my go-to, but let me tell you--it's TOTALLY worth it! Unlike big national chains like CVS that often run out of popular meds and leave you waiting, Stone Ridge springs into action the moment my prescription comes in. I get my meds in about 12 hours instead of waiting days or even weeks! In the past, I had to juggle multiple pharmacies and struggle to find where to send my prescriptions. Don't even get me started on the headaches with controlled substances! My healthcare provider would spend hours redoing prescriptions just to switch pharmacies. What a nightmare! But now, thanks to Stone Ridge and their committed staff, I always have everything I need, exactly when I need it. No stress, no hassle--just pure peace of mind! If you're not already part of the Stone Ridge family, you're missing out!

However seniors if you see an increase with meds, have it checked with your insurance company. I was being overcharged for two medications, so I called my insurance company. I had called the pharmacy first and they stuck by the price and said I had a price increase. I called the insurance company and the one med still had a zero cost and the other was overcharged by $4.03. It's not a lot of money, but when you add up $9.93 or more here and there, from many people, it can add up to a lot of extra money for Wegmans. This isn't the first time that this has happened to my husband and me. Many seniors don't question their bill amount and they just pay it. I'm not trying to put Wegmans down, I just want to make people aware, not only seniors to ask if the pricing doesn't seem right. Call your insurance company if you have already paid for the meds, to get a refund of the difference. Don't be afraid to speak up. It's your money that you're saving.

I want to start by saying that all of the other employees I interacted with were great and handled…read morethe situation appropriately. They were polite, helpful, and explained that the issue was simply that the system could not scan the type of ID I had. Unfortunately, the customer service manager--or whoever the larger woman working in the customer service room was--is a completely different story. I was trying to purchase DayQuil, and I didn't have my physical ID with me. That was my mistake. I normally carry my government-issued mobile ID now, but I now understand that Harris Teeter does not accept mobile IDs for this type of purchase. At that point, the situation could have ended with a simple, "Sorry, but we don't accept mobile IDs." I then found another DMV document I had with me and asked the woman in customer service if it was something I could use. Instead of simply getting up and addressing my question, she responded from her chair with a very snarky and confrontational attitude. She started calling several other employees over, asking what I was trying to purchase and what was going on. I told the other employees I was trying to buy DayQuil. She then, still from the back of the customer service area, very confrontationally said, "No." I simply said, "Okay, I'll come back later if I can get my physical ID." At that point, she continued calling other employees over to check the situation, to the point where it felt like I wasn't even being allowed to simply leave and come back another time. I had no problem with being told that my ID could not be accepted. That is completely understandable. What I did have a problem with was the attitude and the unnecessary escalation of what should have been a very simple interaction. Every other employee handled the situation perfectly and simply explained, "Sorry, our system just can't scan that type of ID." That's all it needed to be. I hope Harris Teeter management takes the time to properly train whoever is managing the customer service area box room on how to de-escalate situations and communicate with customers professionally. A customer asking a simple question should not turn into a confrontation or a power struggle. Again, the other employees were great. This review is specifically about the way this particular customer service manager handled the interaction.
