I was explicitly told by my oral surgery office via text that this prescription should cost no more than a few dollars with insurance and a BIN. At this pharmacy, I was quoted over $8 with insurance, and when the BIN was applied, the price increased rather than decreased. The staff could not provide a clear explanation for the discrepancy. Because the pricing directly contradicted what I was told in writing and could not be explained, I chose not to pick up the medication. Very frustrating experience. read more

This Walgreens is horrible! I have gout and asked if they could do an exception with accepting Apple Pay through main register at pharmacy which is maybe 1 ft away and they could've rung it up there. They had a customer with a disability and they wouldn't take care of them. Gross. read more

I'll never understand how corporate policy affects employees and me, a now former customer. The stores are only as good as the people, the idiots that impose the id policy without discretion. I must apologize for my outburst. I understood the young clerks apprehension,, I waited for the manager that tried to explain this nonsense. However wasting my time is unacceptable to me in my 60s. I was a regular customer from coast to coast, NO MORE. BC I was denied the sale of pack of cigarettes. Say what you want about smoking, they are the merchants and clearly I look my age. Conveniently located and a nice selection of items within the store. Prescription/pharmacy is not so hot. Always seems to be out of stock on relatively common prescribed items and take f o r e v e r at the drive though. Fourth car in line - finally got to the window after 38 minute wait. Person in front of me took 12 minutes. They couldn't find one script, so I asked for just the other - she was holding in her hand, instead of both. "Hang on, I'll be right back." Minutes go by. Yes, I was upset for using the convenience of the drive through, and am sick and grumpy, but seriously‍ maybe still learning. Not sure. Will of course try again, but ‍. I wish I could leave zero stars. The worst pharmacy I've ever encountered. I every single time need to make multiple phone calls to make sure that my elderly father gets his prescriptions even after his doctor calls in the refills. When I call, I'm often told to come at a certain time, then when I go, it's not ready because a variety of reasons. Every single time, the reason contradicts what the person I initially spoke to said. For example, I was told his meds would be ready by 3 today. I call at 5 because no text has come in to pick up. I'm told, I'm unable to refill till the 10th, which is just a day away, but informed initially that patient is going on vacay and would need them sooner. My father takes these meds daily. Please make it a bit easier! read more

i've been coming to this Walgreens since i was 10 years old. overall probably the worst pharmacy i've ever been to. first of all they refuse to answer the phone, not only for customers but from other pharmacies as well. there was two people in line in front of me when i got there, after 40 minutes there was still two people in front of me and about 8 people behind me now. the lady who was at the front of the line since i got there was told to take a seat and wait while they "figure it out". took about 20 more minutes for them to give the person in front of me their meds, when it was finally my turn the pharmacist was rushing me to give her my name, birthday, and address as if i was the reason they had created a line of irritated customers within the past hour of them bullshitting. after about 10 minutes of them scrambling trying to find my meds i was finally able to receive my meds. 1/10 experience would NOT recommend this pharmacy to anyone especially if it's urgent for you to take your medication. when i left, the lady who was at the front of the line when i first got there was still sitting in the chair waiting... read more

No matter when you go, there is always a line at the pharmacy. Takes forever to pick up a prescription. They are woefully understaffed. Their text messaging system is also sometimes wrong and tells you to pick something up that is out of stock or not ready. . Go elsewhere if possible.. read more

I generally don't shop here but received great service after the CVS that I generally go to refused to honor a manufacturer coupon for an expensive prescription. The Walgreens pharmacy associate was courteous and very professional, and went above and beyond by calling the insurance company and then the drug manufacturer to get the coupon processed. I am saying goodbye to CVS for our pharmacy needs and will be taking the rest of our business to Walgreens! read more

Do not put your health at risk with this store. This store should be shut down. On a good day they never have enough staff and pharmacy takes forever. Today the store had a sign in the window and no one would know the store isn't open unless they drove there. Good luck if you are in an emergency. Worst. Pharmacy. Ever. Tell me, Walgreens - how am I supposed to pick up the medication that I need if your pharmacy is always closed?! I moved from Sterling where I used a Rite Aid that became a Walgreens and never had problems with their service, in fact in several occasions I've had meds rerouted back to that store and drove 20 mins out of my way to avoid this Ashburn location which is extremely convenient yet inconveniently never staffed by the pharmacists. Yet even when fully staffed they are a joke and provide terrible service, cannot answer basic questions, don't understand how to operate the desk and drive-up at the same time and struggle to function as a business. EVERY time we go something is wrong...the wait is INSANE and the customer service SUCKS! 1. No matter what time of day you go and how many people or cars are in front of you, you can plan to wait at least 20 mins. 2. They can never find your Rx...want to know why...they fill them then throw them into bins **ON THE FLOOR**. **I watched the pharmacist fill one and throw it in the bin where the poor girl was digging trying to find ours.** FIVE SECONDS is all it would take for them to walk over and put it in the CORRECT BIN! Then MINUTES would be saved on every person in line while the employees are digging through numerous unlabeled and unsorted bins trying to find things. 3. TWICE I have seen them give a person the wrong Rx. One lady in front of me was going off because if she didn't know what the Rx was SUPPOSED to be and she had given that to her ill husband it could have KILLED HIM! 4. I have been on hold at the moment for 15 min trying to talk to someone. They pick up and literally put me back on hold WITH NOTHING SAID TO ME. SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE HERE and FAST! I wanted to get propane gas. After waiting in line, she intercoms for someone to assist and I had to wait for 10-15 min. She didn't ring me up. The manager comes after 15 min of waiting and assists me outside to propane. went back inside to the Store manager to pay, he told me go wait in line. Would give pharmacy 1 star if an option. Went to pick up a Sudafed prescription. Gave them my visa and then asked if it was too late to switch to FSA card instead. They said no, but had already run the visa, so when they ran FSA it said "Recently picked up Sudafed." They accused me of drug seeking behavior and refused to fill the prescription. Manager couldn't figure it out and told me to "Call the Federal government" as I was now on a list. Other interactions with them were time consuming and problematic in other ways. read more

If I could give this pharmacy zero stars I would. I waited in line for 45 minutes because the man they had at the register had absolutely no idea what he was doing. I was trying to pick up some very important medication and the man said he had to show the pharmacist everything and she straight up lied to my face and said they didn't accept my insurance. I called my insurance as I left and they said that's not true I should 100% be able to get my prescriptions there. It was at 730 and they close at 8 so obviously she just couldn't be bothered with me. They need to replace every person in that pharmacy. read more

We had a 5:45 appt to get a booster shot. After waiting for 30 minutes past the appt time we were told the "immunizer" left for the day and so a bunch of us were stuck waiting even longer for a pharmacist to get free to give the shots. For the good, hardworking employees at this location, I feel sorry, but there is a problem with at least one of the pharmacy techs. Twice I've gone to pick up prescriptions and he has lied to my face. The weird part is that there is no reason for the lie at all. Once, I told him that one of the ten prescriptions had not been filled on my previous visit and no one had mentioned the delay at check out. He then told me that a pharmacist wanted to talk about it, but then gave me the prescription anyway. The other time was more complicated, so I'll just say that when I got home, I called the pharmacy 40 minutes prior to the pharmacy closing on Sunday and they put me on hold until time ran out. I'm not mad, but that individual is a bad apple. Years ago, I worked at a pharmacy and if someone showed up after the technical closing of the store, the pharmacist opened the doors and helped. Usually they were old people needing heart medication or whatever. I don't really expect that, but I do expect common courtesy. Personally, I think it's borderline dangerous. Yes, people need to be responsible for their own meds, but it is a service to sick people. They are going to need help occasionally. read more

Pharmacy is excellent. Always has meds ready on time, staff is helpful and they never have excuses for not having a medication ready cvs on farmwell hunt plaza. If something isn't available or not ready they call ASAP to inform rather than making you wait day after day which is a great help. read more

Good variety of over the counter medicine and other miscellanous items such as drinks, snacks, and home products. The store has sufficient parking. The only negative I have is with the Film development section which is usually understaffed or no staff. I came 2 hours before closing and I was told to come back the next day. After discuss with the clerk and manager, they did process my pictures. But I shouldn't have to had debated my pictures need if it was still 2 hours to closing. read more

SORRY BUT IT HAS TO BE SAID, I'VE SEEN IT HAPPEN ONE TO MANY TIMES. I went in to pick up a photo order, it was a busy day so there was a line. While waiting, the helpful cashier is scrambling cashing people out and get photo orders done at the same time. Overwhelmed, the cashier called for a manager, I assume for help. BOY WAS I WRONG. A troll looking woman runs up, looking annoyed and seemed angry that she was called over to do her job. I later find out that this woman is a manager whose name is Marion. I was so disgusted by the way she talked to the cashier and was so unwilling to help out when there was a line. "what do u want ? i told u i was busy she says" The cashier just says nevermind and says they will continue working on it themselves. What a bad attitude from that woman! I'm a regular, and a few other times, I have seen her SMOKING BY THE PROPANE TANKS (like an idiot wanting the whole store to explode)I don't think she realizes how hazardous it is to be doing that. Very dangerous for everyone. A week later, I returned to do some shopping, I'm in line with just 2 people in front of me , the cashier needed change for a customer, cashier calls some type of code, I'm assuming for change .....no reply for a few minutes... not even a confirmation that she was heard or that the manager was on their way. Cashier calls the code again as the line gets longer and out pops up the same ball of depression and anger with gross pink hair screaming that she heard and needed time to get the change and just being completely rude to this poor cashier over the whole situation. WALKING AS SLOWLY AS A TURTLE I MAY ADD. I have worked in retail before and had managers like that. I bet if you ask the employees what they think about her and they'll tell you she makes them hate their job. If that is the way she treats employees in front of customers, I can't imagine how badly she treats them when they're not around. I don't know when or why she was hired but I hope that walgreens rethinks that decision. Terrible treatment of the employees and customers from that woman compared to other managers. I have been coming to this store for years and I have always seen managers at the store who always come up to help without being asked. We have used Walgreens, wherever we have lived, for many things - pictures, Western Union, everyday quick shopping, and the pharmacy, over many years. It is normally a part of our life in our community. This particular store is at the bottom rung on the service ladder. Horrible. 1) When we first moved to Ashburn I had a technical question for the photo lab - the young lady didn't understand the procedure and requested the manager. The manager acted as if we had interrupted her trying to pass legislation. I did not print my copies there. 2) I have asked several questions to staff, trying to locate items, and they are just barely out of a catatonic state, as they direct me without a smile. 3) I had a Western Union question, one that seemed quite easy but, again, the manager, with the personality of a aggravated sloth, is no help. But more so, it's as if she takes pride in not helping you. Instead of trying to direct you, or suggest an alternative, she just blankly stares. Strange for a service company to not provide friendly service in such a competitive day and age. I imagine that the lack of personality and helpfulness that the employees demonstrate on a regular basis, comes from the top down. They see a manager that is just performing a job, with no real care for the customer, and imitate her. Such a shame that this Walgreen's regional manager doesn't recognize what is going on in this store. read more

I'm a former customer of the "three letter" pharmacy in Farmwell Hunt Plaza. After having to go 3X for one prescription, my daughter-in-law suggested I try this Walgreens. I love the drive-thru pickup. I don't care if I'm not the first in line, I wait until it's my turn. My prescriptions have always been ready when they said they would be and I always get the correct medication. I'm especially thankful that I don't have to go inside. All the pharmacy personnel I've dealt with have worn masks and used hand sanitizer. I only have good things to say about this Walgreens location. read more

There is always an issue at the pharmacy here! Either they say your prescription is ready and it's not or your waiting in line inside or at the drive-thru for 10 to 20 minutes. The staff is always friendly once you get their help but they need more staff or something. Walgreens has always been my pharmacy of choice but unfortunately I don't have the time to wait every time I come here and will probably be heading elsewhere. read more

Great customer service. I am new to the town. This Walgreens is just 5 minutes away from my apartment. I dropped off 2 prescriptions for my son last week. The dentist prescribed an antibiotic that my son is allergic to. The pharmacist caught it and contact the dentist to change to another antibiotic. It was after hours and I really appreciate her effort. read more
