We needed a crane for one job, and Hollifield arranged getting to the site early and even let us use the crane to move a new skylight for a roofing crew too. Our two new heat pumps, air handlers, one mini-split and a repair on an older system all went flawlessly. I especially liked that Spencer answered calls quickly and was willing to let me double check sizing, ask lots of questions, and he even helped us out with troubleshooting some problems outside the scope of our hvac jobs. Seriously, Spencer at Hollifield HVAC made dealing with tough problems possible. (We put down a deposit before the jobs and paid when completed. Billing and payment were easy) * I don't have photos of the minisplit job, but it required a good bit of work and planning, but all went well and all jobs passed with inspectors on the first visit. I told him why I needed to rearrange the electrical system in my house. The purpose for the indoor work was to hook-up a power generator and getting it up and running outside. He didn't tell me in advance what accessories I'd need to buy. I was charged for his time waiting for me to get the items. It was very frustrating because the stores didn't have what I needed and I had to drive all over town searching for it. I would not recommend doing business with them without first getting a written statement for all the work they plan to do and all of their charges in advance. Also, one of their workers spilled gasoline all over and I had to pay twice to fill my generator. He charged me almost $2,000 when his estimate was for only $1,000. He acted like hooking up a generator is not his job as an electrician, yet a handyman would not have known what to do because this required specialized knowledge, something only a licensed electrician would be qualified to know and do the job correctly and safely.

He was professional, did what he promised when he promised, and did it well. Our builder turned out to be very unscrupulous and caused many wasted hours for all of our subs, but Dan didn't complain and he continued to do excellent work. When the Builder unexpectedly pulled out and departed our unfinished job, never to return, Dan was professional enough to continue to finish the project with us. Dan was also much more aware of codes than the builder, and he was the one who got us to completion - again having to take on tasks that were not his responsibility.
