Very well run surgery in a converted church on a quiet street within easy walking distance from…read moreeither Gloucester Road or High Street Kensington Underground Station. For the few occassions I need to see my GP, I can book an appointment reasonably quickly and can usually get the first appointment at 8:30am. When you enter, there is a touch screen computer on the desk where you book yourself as having arrived, and then there is an electronic board that will let you know when you are ready to see the doctor, and which room to go. The only downside is that you never see the same doctor more than twice, they change often!

I wish that I didn't have to move from this surgery as it is the best I have experienced in London. It is a small and friendly surgery where the receptionists are very pleasant and helpful. They also open at either 7.30am or 8am in the mornings and 9pm on Tuesday which avoids the whole hassle of taking time off work to visit the doctor. My doctor was Dr Ana Viejo who was fantastic and on the one occasion I couldn't see her, I had a terrible throat infection and the practice manager on walking through the reception could see my discomfort. He then immediately saw me despite not being on duty as the doctor I was due to see was running late. Efficient, friendly and as pleasant as going to the doctor can be.

Amongst my complaints are incorrect diagnosises, incorrect prescriptions being issued, the doctor constantly missing appointments (mostly due to his supposed illness - but that is where the golf clubs come in) and insisting that my 8.5 month pregnant wife walk 2 miles to get £10 from a cash machine when I had already said that I would personally bring the cash round straight after work.

It was easy to get an appointment if you were okay to get it next week and if it was urgent you called at 8.30am to get an appointment until 11am the same day. The surgery is quite small but they have access for wheelchairs. I only found one particular receptionist always behaving quite rude and bored as if she couldn't be bothered dealing with all the patients. Often I found myself waiting at the reception desk, being completely ignored when she was on duty. Her colleagues were different. I hope this has changed by now. This surgery has a break from 1pm-3pm every day except Wednesday. It's a 10min walk in either direction to Shepherd's Bush Station on the Central Line, to Goldhawk Road Station on the Circle and Hammersmith & City Line, to Hammersmith Station on the Piccadilly Line and to Kensingtion Olympia on the Southern Line, Overground and District Line. The Brook Green bus stop which is served by the buses 220, 283 and 295 is only 5min away.
