Such a great dentist. I had a toothache and went to see my regular dentist. At the end, I was told it would be almost 10k worth of work done. I went to get another opinion and met an amazing dentist who told me I was lied to. He said for me to see Dr Clayton for a third opinion. Damn I am glad I did. After Dr. Clayton evaluated my situation, he came up with a game plan. Now, I'm paying about $600 out of pocket, instead of 10 k worth of unnecessary work done. Such a great Dentist. I have been going to Clayton Dental Group for years and years, and completely trust their level of professionalism, attention to detail, great diagnostics and instant X-rays, first rate customer service, and Dr. Clayton and his staff are simply wonderful! I had concerns that l might be developing a new cavity, and Misty rescheduled my 6-moth cleaning and checkup for three weeks sooner, no problem! Turns out it was not a cavity at all, my flossing was kind of aggressive! I had a new dental hygienist, Peyton, and she was fantastic! The cleaning and checkup went by so fast, and she is a total professional at her work. And Dr. Clayton was superb as always, and a such a joy to have him inspect my teeth and make sure they were fine! Always a big smile and handshake! Fantastic. I have to have a deep clean due to build up. Today they did half and tomorrow they will do the rest. Usually they can only do half at a time due to the numbing. I was scared but it went much better than expected. She was friendly and helped keep me calm. read more

I have given this business one star because a mistake was made on their end with billing and when I called to speak with someone about the mistake I was treated as if it's just an, "oh well" situation. Two years ago I had work done by the dentist who did a fine job on the work! That's the one star...I really like the dentist. However, upon leaving the office that day I explained that we were doing a PCS move with the Army the next week and I asked to PAY any balance. In addition, they were supposed to have a payment card on file that they had billed numerous times before. Today, the billing manager told me that she didn't know why, but they didn't have the card on file even though the secretary had assured me they could bill my PAYMENT from my on file credit card the day I asked. I told the secretary that I wanted to be sure it was on file because we were moving all the way to Seattle and I we would not have a forwarding address for at least a month because we had to wait to find a home until we arrived at our destination. She noted everything and I went on my way. I HAVE NEVER received a call from the billing manager, although she assured me she called. That is a complete lie! My balance was $65. They apparently sent letters for two years. Flash forward to February, after we finally bought a home. I receive a collections notice from a lawyer...for non payment. I thought it must be a mistake...they had my card ON FILE! I call the office, but closed due to Covid. I call again this week and the billing manager gave me a bunch of excuses saying my credit card only had last four numbers available...blah blah...excuses for their failure to follow what they told me! I asked her if I could pay the original bill because this was a mistake and I'd like to take care of it. In addition, I saw it was in my credit report. I ALWAYS PAY when I know I owe. She took a$171 payment and told me that she would pay the collections agency and she'd "try" to have it removed from my credit. THIS is how she treats a person who left on a PCS move who tried to ensure they'd get their payment if a balance was left. We have been active duty 24 years and we have never had a business act this way...and over $65. It's shameful. I would have said incredible things about this businesses if this women was anything less than rude and she completely passed the buck! If I had made the mistake I would have taken responsibility, but this is not okay! I am also waiting to hear from the business owner. What would have been proper is if she pulled it from the collection and I pay the original amount, but she lied about trying to call me and they failed to bill my payment on file. So, I paid $171 and I don't believe that the billing manager is going to do one thing to be helpful to me at all. It's just bad business to not try harder when the mistake was yours. read more

Always appreciative for what and how CDG cares about my teeth. Recently, I was diagnosed a need for tooth crown. The reservation and billing processes were efficient and easy to understand. Dr. Diffee and his assistant did a great job during the procedure, with no major pains and without any concerns. They were very nice and respectful and also made me feel relaxed and not worried about any of the procedures. Woke up to nerve pain, one morning. Made appt with Dr. Clayton's office. Saw him that afternoon. X-ray was taken. After reviewing it, he said I needed a root canal and his office didn't do them. Gave me recommendations to Endodontists. Told me, after I have the root canal, to come back to his office and he will put a crown on my tooth. I was shocked at the price I was quoted for root canal in another office and crown in his office. Drove away, pulled into an empty lot and began making phone calls. By the time I got home, I was steered in another direction. Made appt with another general dentist who took x-ray of same tooth. Second dentist kept saying he couldn't figure out why I needed a root canal as my tooth looked perfectly fine, except for maybe a hairline crack. He told me he wasn't going to do the root canal, and for me to call his office if I have any other problems with the tooth. Needless to say, the second opinion saved me about... $4K. Maybe more because of all the added charges.. Everything is ala carte in the dental business. I decided to change dentists after this episode. I learned something with this episode.. Second opinions are very important. read more

Have been going to Clayton Dental for over 30 years. Began seeing Karen, my hygienist, and Dr. John Gholson. Karen is great! I also believe Dr. Gholson has left his patients in good hands with Dr. Clayton. He has yet to work on my mouth (probably because of Karen taking such good care of my teeth) but I trusted Dr. Gholson fully and know he chose his replacement carefully and wisely. My son has never gone anywhere else. He is 32 years old now and has never had a cavity! read more
