Just purchased a sofa from them and it was delivered today. Terrible, the worst ever customer service in my experience. Here are the issues - was never disclosed to me there was an additional 10$ charge to carry it up the stairs to 2nd floor. OK maybe I just didn't hear it. Next they charged me 25$ to remove my door to bring it in. I have had large appliances delivered without needing to remove that door. The final straw is it was not assembled. The legs (requiring multiple screws each were not attached. No holes predrilled to just tighten some screws in.) The delivery guys said it wasn't their job to attach the legs. I have never heard of such. Must be a miss understanding so we called the salesperson. He could care less. Said for an additional 50$ he could send someone out. In my life I have purchased 1000's of $ in furniture from them. I will never put my foot in there stores again. My advice is ask all questions such as will my sofa have the legs put on it or are you going to rip me off with all these undisclosed costs or hidden in some microprint. Better yet there are too many furniture stores to risk getting this jerk of a salesperson or possibly this is some new policy. Sort of like the airlines and baggage charges .... Oh you wanted your sofa legs attached. No savings after all the up charges like actually getting your delivery in the door or getting the legs attached. It took over a month to receive recliner. The recliner electrical wire was damaged as well as one on the cup holders. This took over another month for tech to come to my house and repair. Afterward a cup holder was ordered. Now I have to week over a month again. I will never bye from Ashley Furniture ever again. I am completely dissatisfied. I just have shopped around. There are several furniture stores in the area to include High Point and Room Store. FYI after paying for the recliner the sales person then told me me the delivery time frame. Note.. Dorothy was absolutely wonderful! My friend and I are moving in to an apartment twice the size of what either of us are used to. Dorothy made sure that we not only knew what we wanted, but that we knew exactly what to expect as far as financing, delivery, and the a la cart system they have set up. I recently ordered a couch and loveseat. I waited 3 weeks to schedule my first delivery. We removed furniture per policy for placement of pieces. The love seat was damaged upon delivery, so I had to reschedule and wait 3 more weeks to schedule the re-delivery. Today, the re-delivery arrived and again was damaged. It will be returned and I will again have to wait to reschedule another delivery. Ashely has been unwilling to talk to me about my experience until I have all the pieces I've ordered. I have gone through one holiday and will now have to go through another holiday without the furniture I have paid for. My experience is beyond poor and I would not recommend utilizing this company to anyone. DO NOT USE ASHLEY HOMESTORE. We ordered a sofa on March 15th - they told us to expect it in 8-12 weeks. For weeks, we have been calling to check on the status of our delivery, and nobody can seem to give us an answer. Each time we call, we receive different news and are left on hold for hours upon end. I just called (it's been 14 weeks), since the last agent we spoke to said our sofa should have been delivered yesterday. Today's agent told me the sofa is now OUT OF STOCK and will not be back in stock until July 26th (it's now June 21st). Even better, she said that only FOUR sofa's are available when they get restocked. She then put me on hold and had my call transferred. I've been on hold 2 hours. Nobody updated or told us this news throughout our waiting time. Their communication is absolutely shocking. None of the staff care to resolve your issue, and it's impossible to speak with any kind of manager/supervisor. I will NEVER shop with Ashley again. If you cannot manufacture or supply furniture to your customers who have PAID then you should not be taking orders to begin with. read more

Shopping and sales experience was great, but I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with the customer service. Installers only installed one bolt on each couch leg when there obviously are supposed to be two (see picture). When the couch broke because the legs could not support weight with one bolt, Ashley would not come out to repair the couch. When we attempted to install a second bolt on each leg ourselves, we discovered a manufacturing defect... the second bolt hole was inaccessible (see picture). I imagine the installers came across that problem and did not inform us but rather went for the quick fix. When we brought our concern to Ashley again, they did not make any effort to repair or replace the couch. We do not recommend shopping at Ashley and will not be returning costumers. read more

Ashley Furniture is an absolute abomination of a business. 7 months ago I purchased a bed and couch to be delivered. I was told that I'd be given a 2 hour heads up when the couch would be delivered...they called 5 minutes before they pulled up and almost marked it as "owner not home" even though they didn't keep their agreement. The bed was a completely different issue. They told me 6 weeks to be delivered or be contacted...I called on week 8 and they had 0 news about an update. Only when I threatened to cancel did they "miraculously" find a way to get it there in 4 days. I cancelled. Last week I decided to give them another chance...bad mistake. They charged my card 5 times for the same purchase, utilized all of my available credit, and somehow managed not to have an order in their system after all that. I called 10 different times trying to get a resolution for all the duplicate charges and didn't get a call back for 5 days! Then after all was said and done, I tried to login and pay for the same order, and it gave me the same error messages as before, but charged me twice again! 7 charges, had to get my cc company involved, and after all that...still no furniture order placed. Absolutely terrible company. It's never their fault, they put their poor customer service reps in awful situations where sales staff and management never have to answer for their mistakes or wrongdoings. I would never recommend this company to a friend or family. Ashley furniture is everything that's wrong about business. You're much better off going with a competitor. read more

General manager, Drew, called me on delivery day and said they will not send floor model despite promise from his staff because it would leave a "hole on the showroom floor and look ugly". Today I walked into the Ashley Furniture Homestore Outlet for the 2nd time. I had previously spoke to (3) people about purchasing legs for my couch that had broken off in a recent move. When I walked in the store today, Tina and Philip were immediately there to help with my need. Philip searched and searched until he found something that would work for my couch (it's not sold anymore and the feet had been improved to a slightly different size). Philip found me 2 feet to try that he had as extras in the back of the store. He provided different options through Ashley if that didn't work for the couch. The delivery driver did not listen to any of the delivery instructions I gave him and he damaged my door as he was bringing the couch in. When I initially bought the couch they quoted me up to 12 weeks which I understand and will wait for the delivery because that's what they told me. We are now on week 11 so I called them and the customer service representative was very helpful but apologized no one was upfront about the delivery time because it was actually 16 weeks. I'm not a fan of stores that try to screw over their customers. There were lots of families in the store that were splurging for new furniture thinking they were being economical. Everything in the store had the original price and the sale price only if you look online at Ashley the original price is way lower than what's marked and most items are actually cheaper in the regular store or online. Look at the attached pictures. The outlet price is $350 and the in store price is $270 and brand new instead of being a store model. The original price at the outlet is marked as $499 but the actual real price is 339. I did this price comparison to ten different items in the store and all ten had the same result. My best friend ordered a bed set, living room set and table and chairs. She got her bed, but as for the rest of it they ordered the wrong items twice, and they have already delayed her order three different times. In total, it will be over a month for her to get her furniture. The only way they're accommodating her is that they gave her $50 off the $200 delivery fee. They also said if she wants to cancel she still has to pay the 30% cancellation fee. The fact that she bought all these items with the company and they aren't willing to help her... The sales person at the store lied about when I would receive my furniture and then they tell you two days before your scheduled date that they don't have it available which was already after three weeks of waiting. Then they reschedule it for whatever date they feel like delivering it. I couldn't get off work for the new scheduled date and my mom had to drive 6 hours to wait for it to be delivered and to top it off they were several hours late from the time window they gave. The customer support service representatives convince you to wait until your furniture is delivered to make your claim and get some type of money compensated for the inconvenience and of course they lie because they only give it to you through their crappy store credit card. Mo is exceptional! He is the person to ask for when you are there! He treated us promptly when we came in and showed us all options. I'm a very picky and demanding buyer and Mo still was able to help me with all me furniture needs! There's a great selection at great prices! The decor to go along with the furniture is very well put together as well. I came in not expecting to buy anything and I came out buying three of my main living area rooms with decor too! We ordered this couch and were so excited for it. It got delivered and we tested the pull out like we were told and all was well. It wasn't until after we signed and the movers left that we noticed half of the arm or the couch was missing. The fabric is there, but it's sagging and hollow on the inside. It's a manufacturing issue, as it is inside of the fabric and there's nothing I can do to fix it. read more

I stopped by the store in hopes of finding the furniture I needed for my home. The gentleman that took care of me was well mannered, I made a quick decision and bought what I wanted. The prices were great, but when I tried to get my delivery, I was told I could not get my furniture until July 28. I paid in full on May 8, 2020. I was also told that if I canceled my order they would charge me a 10% cancellation fee. I could not understand that. I was not cancelling on my behalf. I was cancelling because they could not deliver. They told me I should of read THE FINE PRINT THAT I SIGNED WHEN I PURSCHASED MY FURNITURE which said that they might not have the furniture I had already paid for. We recently purchased a recliner couch from Ashley furniture. It was to be delivered between 3 -6 pm, the delivery truck arrived after 8pm. They set up the couch into the reclining position and left. They right side of couch does not go back to upright position. I chased the delivery truck down and he said to call in the morning and someone would come fix it. This did not happen. They said they would order a part to be sent to my house - that took 3 weeks to get here and then when I called to get the repair done, they tell me they are backed up for almost 4 more weeks! I wanted to just return the couch and they refused and said this is they way they work. So, I got a defective couch delivered and it is somehow my fault! I will have it almost two full months before the repair man can even get here and there is no guarantee he can fix it. This is the worst customer service. If the repairman cannot fix it, then they said they could send out a new one. Very poor service. read more

We recently bought a dining room table and 6 chairs. Last Wednesday I got a call that the table was damaged and Ashley furniture would call between 24 to 48 hours that was the message. Before listening to the message I called to find out why we received the chairs and not the table, they told me the table had gotten damaged and they didn't place it on the truck and that I would get a call from a department about when they would reschedule within 24 to 48 hours. Keep in mind we just moved into our house and don't have anything to eat on. 60 hours went by and I never received a call. So I called and they told me it would be two weeks before they could deliver. So I told them to come get the chairs and give me a refund. They told me I would have to pay a 10% restocking fee for something they did wrong. Plus they would charge me to come get the chairs. From this point on I was given an attitude. This company is horrendous and the customer service is definitely the worse ever. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. read more

Since this place is close to our apartment we have made several curious stops to investigate what they had. We were always greeted by sales associates but never followed or hassled which happened at other stores. When we came in ready to purchase we found a great sectional the sales rep claimed was new out of the box and with the condition it was in we had no reason to doubt him. The price we paid, after delivery, was a lot less than we could have purchased anything comparable from any of the other places we saw. The only snag was that they were unable to hold the couch so we have to move it again when we go to the new house, but that's the business model of an outlet. They have a lot of stuff in poor shape but if you visit a few times you can find quality furniture at a steep discount. I purchased a sofa/loveseat from this store. I had 24 hours to identify any issues with the product, which I had. The loveseat has many scratches. Also, we received a different model sofa. When I tried to explain the issues at the store, they really didn't care. And they said the sales are final. I had no idea that the sales were final. They also suggested that if I don't like my sofa and loveseat, I can sell online. What a wonderful suggestion and customer care. They are CHEATERS. Purchased a sectional March 2019 and was sold the Ashley assurance protection program. A zipper broke on the back of the sectional so I called in a claim only to be told that it is not covered. Also had a section where the fabric was coming apart and was told that was not covered either. How ever if my kid had cut it with a knife then yes it is covered. So they cover destruction but not defects in workmanship. Never ever purchase the extended warranty. They tell you it covers everything but fail to tell you it does not cover a bad product or workmanship. Also once I had found out that I could not get anything fixed I told the protection company I did not want to submit the claim, leaving me open to maybe getting store credit if I so choose to by something else at Ashley - they told me it was to late as it is already submitted but since nothing was done it won't count against my Non claim submission refund. I highly doubt that. They were however nice enough to tell me I could pay some one to come out and fix it. read more
