Ashley is an absolute gem! I cannot recommend her enough--she was by far our absolute favorite wedding "vendor" we hired. And I would do it a million times over. Our wedding photos were a top 3 priority for our big day so I spent weeks vetting photographers through Instagram, the Knot, and Yelp. When I stumbled upon Ashley's Instagram feed, I knew I wanted to hire. Her colorful and emotion based aesthetic were exactly what I was looking for to capture our special day. For our engagement shoot, we had a rocky experience with weather and cancelled our original plans to take photos in February in Palm Springs. No problem, Ashley was so cool about rescheduling! We rescheduled for a weekend in March in Orange County. We flew back to Southern California and almost botch the 2nd attempt at engagement photos by showing up ~40 minutes late due to traffic to our 2 hour session. Again, no problem! Ashley was so cool about everything and reassured we would get all our photos in. I was so stressed we weren't going to have enough time to do an outfit/location change. But! Ashley made us feel SO comfortable and relaxed during the session that I completely forgot about the time constraint. We ended up with 300+ INCREDIBLE engagement photos that truly captured our relationship. Ashley was able to help get natural poses out of both my husband and I without either of us looking forced or awkward. For our wedding, Ashley flew to the Bay Area and hired a second shooter. I found Ashley Paige photography through Yelp while I was searching for photographers for my April wedding. A friend had suggested a well known female photographer in San Clemente but while looking at her profile on Yelp I found Ashley Paige Photography and I really liked her photos best. Gosh - where do I begin to say how lucky we are to have randomly come across Ashley for our daughter's 1 year photo shoot. Ashley was recommended to us and the results of the shoot and our time with her were amazing. She was so easy to communicate with from the beginning and immediately responsive to any questions I had. I think I even changed the location on her once, and she was so understanding, sweet and patient. Ashley was the best choice for our wedding photographer! She was nice, thoughtful, professional and quick on her feet. Of course, best of all, the pictures are amazing! Ashley had to travel for our wedding and was able to prepare in the new surroundings so she could find the angles and spots that would work best for our pictures. She explored our reception site and ceremony site ahead time (inside, outside and blocks away) in order to be prepared for the best shots. We don't want to look through out wedding photos and see that profile we hate so much, or that one feature we couldn't fix or tone before the wedding. I didn't go crazy for my wedding but I certainly wanted to look my best! Ashley captured all of the best moments! The smiles and hugs and moments she captured on camera are so beautiful! Lastly...the dancing! Even here too- she did not give up! She knew how to capture the best pictures...without all of the, let's call it, "exhaustion" of the night (redness, hair all out of place, sweat, etc.) She was able to react quickly to her surroundings, capture all of the key moments, but also, capture other people around the room. This was important to us because while the bride and groom can't be everywhere at once, we wanted everyone at the wedding to feel like they were just as important. We just got our pictures from our wedding back, and I just had to write a review of just how awesome Ashley is! Luckily, I found Ashley without a recommendation, and when we first talked on the phone, I knew she was the one! I could tell that she was professional, and would take the ideas that we had and make them even better :) I had seen her work online, so I knew that her style would work very well with ours, but it was also obviously important that we felt comfortable with her too! We first met her for our engagement shoot shoot (which was gorgeous too, btw), and had such a nice time with her, we invited her to join us for drinks afterwards! We hung out for a couple hours, trading stories and getting to know each other, which was so great to be able to do! On the day of our wedding, Ashley did everything right- she and her assistant were punctual, and far more organized than us and our family! She managed to corral everyone for the family pictures (which was probably such a pain). She had scoped out some AMAZING places to take pictures ahead of time, and was willing to hike with us to these cliffs, so we now have the most incredible coastline wedding shots ever!
